One night stand with my president(chapter 623)

 Chapter 623: Kiss Me Here

Moonlight flowed like water.

Adeline pulled Harrison along, strolling leisurely by the roadside.

She wasn't heavily intoxicated, but having drunk quite a bit, she was certainly different from her usual self.

Harrison thought she seemed more affectionate than normal at the moment.

Every few steps, she would suddenly stop and plant a kiss on him.

Sometimes on his cheek, sometimes on his lips.

Gradually, Harrison got used to it.

Whenever he felt the moment was about to come, he would proactively bend down to cooperate, letting her kiss him.

But after a few more kisses, Adeline wasn't having it.

"Why is it always me kissing you?" Her eyes shimmered with a hint of accusation. "You're really taking advantage."

Harrison couldn't help but laugh wryly.

"I was clearly cooperating with you. How can you say I'm taking advantage?" Harrison reached out and pinched her cheek. "You're really quite ungrateful."

"No, that's wrong." Adeline shook her head. "It's always me kissing you, and you never kiss me. That's not fair."

The more she acted like this, the more Harrison felt like teasing her.

"So what do you want me to do now?" Harrison asked.

Adeline lifted her hand and tapped her right cheek.

"Kiss me here."

Harrison made an affirmative sound, then bent down...

And kissed her left cheek.

"Wrong!" Adeline angrily kicked his leg. "Did you even hear what I said? I said kiss here!"

She emphatically tapped her right cheek again.

Harrison was worried she might hurt

herself with the force, so he quickly grabbed her hand, saying helplessly, "Alright, alright, l understand. I'll kiss you."

"Forget it, I don't want you to kiss me anymore." Adeline shook off his hand, pouting angrily.

"Look at how reluctantly you're acting. It's too much! I won't let you kiss me anymore. from now on."

With that, she turned and started to walk away.

Harrison reached out, caught her wrist, and with . a gentle tug, pulled her back into his arms.

"How can that be okay?" He lowered his head and quickly planted a kiss on her right cheek. "If you don't let me kiss you, that would be the real problem."

"Just won't let you." Adeline huffed. "I have my, pride. I mean what I say."

She then tried to push Harrison away.

However, with just a little effort, Harrison could easily keep her trapped in his arms, unable to move.

"Can we negotiate?" Harrison asked with a smile.

"Name your terms."

"Really?" Adeline looked up at him, blinking,

"Of course it's true. Why would I lie to you?"

Adeline thought seriously for a moment, then said, "Well then, every morning from now on, the first thing you do when you wake up is kiss me."

"Let's pick a different one," Harrison said,

"Why?" Adeline glared at him indignantly.

"You just said I could name my terms! You liar!"

She was genuinely angry now, giving Harrison's waist a sharp pinch.

Harrison endured the pain and said, "Because, that's already how it is."

"What?" Adeline was stunned.

"The first thing I do every morning when I wake up is already kiss you," Harrison explained.

"If you make that your condition now, wouldn't you be at a disadvantage?"

Adeline's mind, slowed by the alcohol, took a

while to process his meaning.

"Really?"

"Really," Harrison affirmed. "It's just that most of the time, you don't know it."

Because most of the time, he woke up earlier than she did.

Opening his eyes in the morning to see her lying beside him.

A feeling of happiness instantly enveloped him.

How could he resist not kissing her?

But he always did it gently, careful not to wake the sleeping her.

"Hehe." Adeline rubbed her head against his chest and giggled. "So you like me that much."

Harrison looked down at her, nestled in his arms like a little kitten, his  gaze incredibly tender.

"Me liking you, hasn't that always been obvious?"

"No, it hasn't." Adeline shook her head like a rattle-drum. "I had no idea before."

"The past doesn't count."

"Why not?" Adeline gave him a somewhat reproachful look. "You used to be so intimidating."

"I wasn't."

Once this topic started, Adeline instantly began to chatter away.

"How could you not be? You had that stern face every day, never smiling. Isn't that intimidating? I had to be on high alert around you every day, afraid I'd mess something up and make you angry..."

"What would happen if I did make you angry?"

His question actually gave Adeline pause.

Right, what would happen if she made him angry? It seemed like nothing much, really.

Hadn't she worked steadily by his side for five years?

And she wasn't always the calm, mature Miss Hensley from the start,

When she first joined the executive office of the Thomson Group, she made mistakes too,

But Harrison never did anything to her,

Thinking about it now... it seemed that from the very beginning, Harrison had treated her differently, But she hadn't realized it.

And his presence was too overpowering

So she couldn't help but be a little afraid of him, "Why the sudden silence?" Harrison asked,

Adeline said, "I'm thinking, why did you treat me differently from others right from the start?" If others made mistakes, Harrison wouldn't show mercy,

For a moment, even Harrison couldn't answer that question.

Adeline asked pensively, "Could it be because I'm pretty?"

Harrison said, "That's not really the reason," he said.

Admittedly, Adeline was breathtakingly beautiful.

But he wasn't someone easily swayed by appearances.

Otherwise, countless people would have long been scrambling to send all sorts of beauties to his bed.

"It definitely is!" Adeline stomped her foot.

"You just thought I was pretty, so you had ulterior motives towards me!"

"Really, it's not," Harrison insisted.

And besides, what did she mean by 'ulterior motives?

"It's not?" Adeline glared at him angrily. "Are you saying I'm not pretty?"

Harrison was truly both exasperated and amused by her.

"Stop being silly," he said, his voice low.

"I'm not being silly," Adeline argued, "Then tell me, am I pretty or not?"

"You're very pretty," Harrison said with utmost sincerity.

So sincere that Adeline felt a little embarrassed to give him more trouble over this issue.

"Alright," she said. "So was it because I'm pretty that you treated me differently from others?"

"No," Harrison said.

But why had he treated her differently from others right from the start?

He couldn't answer that question himself.

Perhaps she was simply destined to become that special presence in his life.

Adeline seemed a bit tired from all the fussing.

She leaned softly against his chest and said,

"Harrison, you're a big jerk."

Harrison looked down at her, his eyes filled with tenderness.

"Drink some wine and start calling me names," he murmured, his voice low.

"Heartless little thing."
