One night stand with my president(chapter 631)

Chapter 631 What More Was She Hoping For

Sam Juarez and Joyce Monroe boarded the plane and entered the first-class cabin.

Unexpectedly, they ran into an acquaintance there.

"Mr. Hunter?" Joyce couldn't help but exclaim.

Russell Hunter looked up, recognized her as Adeline Hensley's good friend, and immediately stood up, nodding politely.

"Miss Monroe," he said warmly.

"Well, well, Mr. Hunter is here too. What a coincidence," Sam stepped forward, a mocking smile on his face.

He knew Russell was his good friend's love rival..

Naturally, he couldn't possibly show Russell any friendliness.

Moreover, he didn't want Joyce to talk much with Russell either.

"Mr. Juarez,, Russell remained courteous.

"Mr. Hunter returning to Orianto as well?" Sam said. "Returning early is good..."

Before he could finish his sentence, a crisp, young woman's voice interrupted him.

"Russell!"

Immediately afterward, a young woman ran over, reached out to grasp Russell's arm, and looked up at him with sparkling eyes.

"I have something to give you, I couldn't wait."

After speaking, she noticed the two other people nearby and instantly became more reserved.

"Are these your friends?"

They weren't exactly friends, but face-to-face, Russell certainly couldn't deny it, so he gave a faint "Hmm" and then introduced them to her:

"Master Juarez, Miss Monroe."

The girl obediently greeted them.

Russell then introduced her to the two of them:

"This is Lily Sparrow."

He didn't specify their relationship.

Joyce looked at them with a rather meaningful gaze.

But she didn't say anything more, just greeted Lily Sparrow and then pulled Sam away to their seats.

"Why were you so rude to Mr. Hunter?" Joyce asked in a low voice.

Sam snorted coldly. "He wanted to steal my brother's woman, and I'm supposed to be polite to him?"

Joyce nudged him and said with a laugh, "He probably wanted to before, but now, that might not be the case anymore..."

Sam naturally understood what she meant, scoffed disdainfully, and said, "That girl looks like she's barely in her twenties. This guy Russell, trying to be an old cow eating young grass?"

"The way you put it..." Joyce said helplessly.

"Mr. Hunter isn't even thirty yet, okay? Forget it, I'm not arguing with you."

Joyce took out her phone to gossip with Adeline.

On the other side, Russell said to Lily Sparrow, "The plane is about to take off. You should head back now."

Russell had arranged everything; he was taking them back to Orianto today.

Due to Mr. Sparrow's illness, Russell had arranged a private first-class suite on the plane for them.

"But..."

Lily Sparrow hesitated for a moment, then said, "Alright then. After we're steadily in the air, I'll come find you again."

After speaking, she glanced at Russell once more before turning and leaving.

When she returned to the suite, her two younger sisters immediately came up to her.

"How did it go, sis?"

"Did you give the gift to Uncle Russell?"

Looking at their expectant faces, Lily Sparrow smiled and said, "Uncle Russell was a bit busy, and the plane's about to take off. It wasn't a good time. Let's wait a bit before giving it to him." Russell had helped their family so tremendously.

For now, she had no way to repay him.

She could only, together with her two sisters, make a small gift by hand to give to him.

It wasn't valuable, but it contained their sincere feelings.

But just now, from Russell's demeanor, it seemed he wasn't particularly attentive to it.

A sour feeling welled up in Lily Sparrow's heart.

However, she quickly shook her head and slapped her own face twice.

Russell had already shown great kindness to their family.

What more was she hoping for?

What right did she have to expect him to be exceptionally attentive to her every little thing? She was being far too greedy.

If not for Russell, they would still be living in that slum, her father unsure how many more days he could hold on, and they would never have the chance to return to Orianto...

Lily Sparrow lowered her gaze, making a silent vow in her heart.

After returning to Orianto, if she truly got the chance to study, she must study hard and make something of herself. Only then could she properly repay Russell in the future.

If she couldn't study anymore, she would still strive to find a job. She would not forget this debt of gratitude.

On the way home, Adeline saw the message Joyce had sent her.

"Adeline, guess who I ran into on the plane just now? Mr. Hunter. And let me tell you, he had a young woman with him! Their relationship didn't seem ordinary at all! In my opinion, Mr. Hunter might be about to start a romance!"

After reading the message, Adeline felt no particular stir in her heart.

If Russell had truly met someone fated for him, then starting a romance was the most normal thing in the world.
