Chapter 622: My Boyfriend Is So Handsome
"It's alright." Adeline turned off the variety show playing on the big screen. "She's already said quite a lot."
Actually, she hadn't expected Monica to reveal so much about her boyfriend.
She had only hoped that after Monica got drunk, they might find a clue or two in her words.
If not, they could just treat it as an ordinary get-together.
Adeline called a maid in to properly escort Monica back to her room to rest.
Both she and Joyce had drunk quite a bit tonight too, but they were still relatively sober.
The maid had just helped Monica out when
Harrison and Sam appeared at the doorway of the room.
"Drinking this late?" Sam asked helplessly.
"So what?" Joyce waved a hand dismissively.
"When you guys go out drinking and hanging out, we don't see you coming home early either!" Sam walked over and took her hand, smiling as he said, "That's nonsense."
Since he'd been with her, when had he ever come home late?
Joyce's alcohol tolerance wasn't as good as Adelines.
Earlier, she could still maintain her composure.
But now that she had relaxed, the effects of the alcohol surged intensely.
She was having trouble standing steadily, constantly leaning into Sam.
Sam simply picked her up in his arms.
"I'll take her back to sleep first."
Once they left, only Harrison and Adeline remained in the room.
Adeline was a bit more clear-headed than Joyce, but when she saw Harrison walking over, she still giggled foolishly.
"Hehe, my boyfriend is so handsome."
After saying that, she even reached up and pinched Harrison's cheek.
Harrison caught her mischievous hand and said, "Come on, let's go back and sleep."
"I don't want to." Adeline pushed his hand away.
"I'm not sleepy yet."
"You drank so much and you're still not sleepy?" Harrison wrapped an arm around her, pulling her close, afraid she might get overexcited and run off on her own.
Adeline looked up at him, pretending to be fierce.
"I said I'm not sleepy, so I'm not sleepy! Harrison, you ve got some nerve now, daring to contradict me? It seems I must teach you a lesson today..."
Harrison watched her red lips moving non-stop and simply lowered his head, silencing her chattering little mouth with a kiss.
"Mmm..."
Adeline hadn't expected him to pull this move.
She tried to push him away but couldn't.
Subconsciously, her hands tightened their grip on his clothes.
It was hard to tell how much time passed before Harrison finally released her.
By now, Adeline felt completely woozy.
Whether it was from the alcohol or his kiss was hard to tell.
Looking at her dazed expression, Harrison smiled and asked, "Still going to teach me a lesson?"
"Yes."
Adeline looped her arms around his neck, stood on her tiptoes, and bit his lip hard.
"Hisss..."
She truly showed no mercy with that bite.
Harrison sucked in a sharp breath from the pain.
"Hehe." Adeline laughed triumphantly.
"That's for bullying me."
"I wasn't bullying you," Harrison said helplessly.
"You're the one bullying me."
"Nonsense!" Adeline retorted immediately.
"You're so big and strong, how could I bully you?"
"You're so big and strong, now could I bully you?"
"Alright, alright," Harrison went along with her.
"So, can we go back to sleep now?"
"I don't want to." Adeline shook her head vigorously. "I don't feel like sleeping now. Come play with me outside.”
Where could they go to play this late?
Before Harrison could even ask, Adeline was already pulling him towards the door.
He had no choice but to follow.
