One night stand with my president(chapter 629)

Chapter 629: No Wonder Alberto Likes You So Much

Monica felt restless and uneasy inside, but she couldn't directly ask Connie to break up with Alberto in front of her.

"Then in the future... could Alberto come home more often to see Pharrell?" she asked softly.

"Today, Alberto only stayed at home for a few hours before leaving."

Connie's heart felt as if it were being clenched and twisted by a large hand-aching and sour.

For a moment, she really wanted to say, This has nothing to do with me. Your child has no relation to me. What's the point in telling me this?

The man she deeply loved had a child with another woman. She was already heartbroken enough.

Why did she have to hear about such things too?

But in the end, reason and the kindness in her heart won out.

No matter what, Pharrell was the most innocent one.

She harbored absolutely no ill will towards this child.

She took a deep breath and said, "I understand.

I'll find a time to talk to Alberto about it. And today, he left early because something happened at the company. If it weren't for the company issues, he definitely would have stayed home longer to spend time with Pharrell."

"Miss Connie, you really are a good person," Monica said, taking Connie's hand, a look of gratitude on her face. "No wonder Alberto likes you so much."

Connie wasn't familiar with her and naturally wasn't comfortable with such intimacy. She subtly withdrew her hand.

Monica didn't mind and added, "Speaking of which, Aunt Gracie was telling me today how much she misses Alberto normally. Before, Alberto always lived at home. Now that he's suddenly moved out, she really isn't used to it."

A flicker of emotion passed through Connie's eyes, but she remained silent.

Monica, watching her expression, gave a slight smile and said, "I'm sorry for taking up so much of your time. I should be going now. Goodbye, Miss Connie."

With that, she opened the car door and got out.

Seeing the driver standing by the car, she gave him a polite smile.

The driver had a vague idea of her identity and didn't dare be negligent, quickly returning a respectful smile.

He had heard the young master already had a son, and the son's biological mother had moved into the Mendoza house with the child.

This woman was probably the child's mother.

Even though the young master was still with Miss Connie now, it was hard to say if this woman might rise in status later due to her son.

Thinking this, the driver's smile became a few degrees more ingratiating.

His attitude greatly pleased Monica.

If I really become the young mistress of the Mendoza family in the future, then no matter where I go, I'll see people smiling at me like this, right? This feeling is really quite nice.

No wonder Connie, even knowing Alberto already has a child, is unwilling to let go.

With ready-made wealth and status right here, who would give it up?

Monica glanced back at the car once more.

Right now, she couldn't see Connie's expression sitting inside the car.

But the words she had just spoken were sure to have stirred something in Connie's heart.

Connie, consider this me saving you. If you take the initiative to leave Alberto now, that man won't lay a hand on you. Otherwise...

Joyce Monroe and Sam Juarez were returning to Orianto.

Adeline Hensley and Harrison Thomson saw them off at the airport.

Before entering the departure lounge, Joyce

hugged Adeline tightly, reluctant to let go.

"Be careful with everything," she urged worriedly.

"You must be wary of that Monica."

"Don't worry, I know," Adeline said, patting the back of her hand. "Have a safe trip."

"Wah... I'm going to miss you."

"Alright now, I'll be returning to Orianto in a while too," Adeline said with a laugh.

On the other side, Sam and Harrison were also talking.

However, these two weren't bidding a sentimental farewell; they were discussing a certain matter.

"I got news last night, it's almost done," Sam said.

"Congratulations."

"Tsk, it's still a long way off," Sam said, a cold smile curling at the corner of his mouth.

"I'll make sure he gets a taste of what hell feels like."

To be honest, having known Sam for so many years, Harrison rarely saw such sharp, fierce determination in his eyes.

But considering who that fierceness was directed at, it wasn't surprising at all.

"Contact me anytime if anything comes up,"

Harrison said, patting his shoulder.

"Will do."

Joyce and Sam entered the departure lounge.

After leaving the airport, Adeline said to Harrison, "Don't you still have things to do? You should go."

"I'll take you home first."

"No need," Adeline said, sounding a bit helpless.

"The car is waiting for me right over there.

Whether you take me back or not is the same. Don't waste your time for nothing."

Harrison gently brushed her cheek with his knuckle, his eyes full of fondness and reluctance.

Actually, he was reluctant to part with her.

But then again, handling company matters earlier meant he could go back to keep her company earlier in the evening.

"Then I'll be off first."

After saying this, Harrison leaned down and kissed her forehead.

"Go on."

Harrison got into the car beside them.

After the car drove off, another car soon pulled up in front of Adeline.

Just as Adeline was about to open the car door to get in, she suddenly heard someone call her from the side.

"Miss Hensley!"

She instinctively turned to look.

She saw a tall, impeccably made-up woman walking towards her.

Adeline didn't recognize this woman.

But since this woman called her "Miss

Hensley," she clearly knew who she was.

"May I ask who you are?" Adeline asked politely.

"My surname is Carter. Hanna Carter. I'm-a business partner of Mr. Thomson's."

As she introduced herself, Hanna extended her hand to Adeline.

"Very pleased to meet you, Miss Hensley."

Since she was a business partner of Harrison's, Adeline had to be polite. She shook her hand.

She had indeed heard that the Thomson Group's Yewhaina branch was collaborating with another group on a new supply chain recently, and the person in charge from the partner group had the surname Carter.

She just didn't know why this Miss Carter had suddenly sought her out.

"Harrison just left by car," Adeline said. "If you're looking for him, you might have to go to the company."

"I'm not here for him." Hanna said with a smile. "I'm here for you, Miss Hensley."

As she spoke, her eyes remained fixed on Adeline, not blinking.

This Miss Hensley was indeed a stunning beauty.

Even she, upon first seeing Adeline's face, had been instinctively struck by her beauty.

And just now, she had also witnessed the interaction between Harrison and Adeline.

The love in Harrison's eyes when he looked at Adeline was something she could see clearly even from that distance.

At that moment, Hanna felt doubt towards her long-held beliefs.

So true love does exist in this world?

So not everyone ends up like my parents?

"For me?" Adeline was puzzled. "What is it about?"

Hanna looked around and said, "It's not very convenient to talk here. I just saw a coffee shop over there. Could we go sit for a bit? It won't take up too much of your time. Please, Miss Hensley!"
