One night stand with my president(chapter 621)

Chapter 621: Their Past

After a few glasses of wine, the three women began to open up.

Of course, Adeline and Joyce were the initiators, while Monica was more passive.

But as the conversation flowed, she gradually became more engaged.

Especially since they kept drinking, one glass after another, while chatting.

Adeline had even arranged for a large screen to be set up in the room. She found a variety show and projected it onto the screen.

Monica had initially felt a slight sense of caution.

However, Joyce and Adeline acted very naturally throughout, never deliberately probing her with questions. They merely chatted about unimportant matters, laughing and joking along with the people on the show.

So, her guard slowly lowered.

To be honest, her nerves had been stretched taut for a while now, and she was utterly exhausted.

For now, she really wanted to steal a moment of laziness.

The variety show Adeline picked was quite amusing. Monica found herself laughing along with them, joining in the conversation, and clinking glasses with Adeline and Joyce from time to time, downing the wine in her cup.

Her attention was diverted, so she completely failed to notice that when Joyce poured the wine, Monica's glass was always filled to the brim, while Adeline's and Joyce's glasses were only half full, sometimes even just a third.

By the time the episode ended, the wine on the table was also finished.

"It's gone so quickly?" Joyce said, looking unsatisfied. "Let's have someone bring a few more bottles."

"Alright."

Adeline immediately picked up her phone and sent a message asking for more wine.

"Are we still drinking?" Monica asked, feeling dizzy. "Shouldn't we go to sleep?"

"Oh, it's still very early!" Joyce checked the time and said, "Besides, Pharrell is being taken care of by his godmother and the nanny right now. You don't need to worry about a thing. What are you afraid of? You can just sleep in tomorrow morning."

Ever since Monica and Pharrell were acknowledged by the Mendoza family, the Mendozas had arranged everything for Pharrell.

It wouldn't matter if she slept in occasionally; she could sleep in every day if she wanted.

And because Pharrell was ill, he had never been breastfed; he drank a special formula.

Monica, on the other hand, had always been in good health. After giving birth, she recovered remarkably quickly. The doctor said it was quite rare to have such a constitution, and she didn't need to follow the same dietary restrictions as others.

Adeline and Joyce had known about all this beforehand.

That's why they had set up this gathering.

Hearing Joyce's words, Monica hesitated for a moment but eventually nodded.

Well, since she had already drunk so much, she might as well drink to her heart's content tonight.

Soon, the maid brought several more bottles of wine.

This wine seemed slightly different from the previous one.

However, this thought only flashed through Monica's mind briefly; she didn't dwell on it.

Since they had finished that variety show and there was only one episode, they had to find another show to watch.

"How about this one? I heard this dating show is really popular lately," Adeline suggested.

"Really? I haven't watched a dating show from Yewhaina yet. Let's take a look," Joyce said.

Monica had no objections either. After all, tonight was mainly about drinking and chatting; what was playing on the big screen wasn't that important.

The video started playing on the screen. Adeline opened a new bottle of wine and poured a glass for everyone.

At this point, they didn't need to encourage her anymore. Monica picked up her glass on her own and took a few sips.

"This wine tastes better than the previous one," Monica remarked. "It seems sweeter, with a fruity note."

"Yeah, I think so too," Adeline said with a smile.

"Then drink a bit more."

She picked up her own glass and clinked it with Monica's.

In reality, this wine had a higher alcohol content than the previous one and was more likely to cause intoxication.

And what they wanted was for Monica to get intoxicated.

Only when she was intoxicated would she say things she normally wouldn't dare to voice.

Of course, both wines were carefully selected the wouldn't harm her health Drinking selected; they wouldn't harm her health. Drinking too much would just mean sleeping it off.

Monica drank several more glasses, feeling even more lightheaded. At that moment, she heard Joyce say, "It seems like the second male guest and the third female guest are more compatible."

"Yeah, and they probably have feelings for each other," Adeline added.

Hearing their comments, Monica looked up at the big screen.

The two guests on the screen were sitting together by the sea.

The female guest was holding a bouquet of roses, apparently just given by the male guest.

At the moment, neither was speaking, but pink bubbles seemed to float in the air around them.

Monica giggled foolishly, suddenly reminded of the times she had spent with her boyfriend.

They had also gone to the beach together...

"I just realized, Sam has never given me roses," Joyce said.

"You don't even like roses," Adeline laughed.

"He always gives you what you like, doesn't he?"

"That's true."

After speaking, Joyce turned to Monica, seemingly asking casually, "Monica, did your boyfriend ever give you roses?"

"He did," Monica said with a smile. "I love red roses the most, so he often gave them to me, always in big bouquets... I told him not to send so many, it's a waste of money, but he never listened."

At this moment, she seemed lost in memories, her smile filled with sweetness.

"And we went to the beach together too!" she said, even standing up, her body swaying slightly.

"We went to the beach to play. He collected so many beautiful seashells for me and personally made a necklace out of them. I still treasure that necklace..."

Watching the male and female guests on the screen, she seemed to see herself and her boyfriend back then.

Without Adeline and Joyce needing to ask further, fueled by the alcohol, she began to ramble on about many past events with her boyfriend.

Adeline watched her, her gaze gradually deepening.

Looking at Monica like this, it was impossible to say that she and her boyfriend had a bad relationship.

They had shared too many sweet moments.

To say she was merely reminiscing about the past but seeing her current state, it was clear she still held her boyfriend deeply in her heart.

The person she loved was her boyfriend, not Alberto at all.

She had lied about this.

"Before, he even said that if we ever had a child, we should name him Pharrell..."

Hearing this, Joyce's pupils trembled sharply, and she quickly turned to look at Adeline.

But at this point, the alcohol had completely overwhelmed Monica. She collapsed onto the soft sofa beside her and fell into a deep sleep.

"Oh no, she's drunk too much," Joyce said, rubbing her temples in frustration. "Right when she was getting to the crucial part..."
