One night stand with my president(chapter 611)

Chapter 611: You Know Me So Well Now

As she spoke, Monica laughed again, "I hope...Huai Shi will like him."

"He's his son, how could he not like him?"

"I'm just worried... After all, Pharrell isn't his child with Miss Connie." Monica said dejectedly. "If Pharrell weren't my child, but Miss Connie's, he would probably be happier. I know he's very sad about Miss Connie leaving today. I really want to comfort him, but..."

Adeline Hensley said, "My brother and Connie had many years of feelings between them, this is unavoidable. But don't worry, he won't slight Pharrell or treat you harshly because of this."

"Yes, aside from feelings, he can give me everything. But I... I'm also a woman. Sometimes I wish he would look at me more... Qing Li, you can understand that, right?"

"Mhm, but didn't you just say that you only wish for Pharrell to grow up healthy and safe, and ask for nothing else?"

Monica's heart jolted, and her face burned.

It seemed she had been too impatient.

However, at this moment, Adeline still wore a faint smile, as if there was no displeasure or scrutiny in her words.

Perhaps Adeline had just said it casually.

She couldn't panic and mess things up this quickly.

Monica forced herself to quickly compose her emotions. Just as she was about to speak, she heard Adeline say, "It's getting late, I won't disturb your rest any longer."

"It's no disturbance at all, but you should definitely go rest too."

"Alright, you should sleep early too. Goodnight.".

"Goodnight."

After Adeline left, Monica let out a long sigh of relief.

But a heavy sense of unease followed closely.

Although Adeline's conversation with her seemed normal, she always felt something was off.

Thinking of Pharrell, her heart became even more unsettled.

Initially, she thought that once the paternity test results came out and the Mendoza family believed Pharrell was of their bloodline, they would naturally treat him well, and she could rest easy.

But now, thinking about it, once the Mendoza family discovered that Pharrell actually wasn't Alberto Mendoza's son at all, how furious would they be? By then, would Pharrell be in danger again?

For the past two days, her mind had been filled with thoughts of Pharrell getting cured and growing up well. She hadn't thought much about this aspect.

Now, the more she thought about it, the more panicked she became.

She couldn't help but take out her phone and dial a number.

The call was quickly answered. On the other end was a man's voice tinged with displeasure.

"Didn't I tell you to call me less if there's nothing important? What if the Mendozas find out? How do you plan to deal with it then?"

Monica glanced towards the room door and lowered her voice, "Don't worry, l'm alone here now."

"What do you want?"

"I want to ask... about the paternity test... Are you really confident you can keep it hidden from the Mendozas?" Monica asked anxiously. "What if the Mendozas go somewhere else to do another paternity test? If they find out Pharrell actually isn't Alberto Mendoza's child, then..."

The man sneered, "Since I dared to start this plan, I naturally dare to guarantee it's foolproof. Moreover, why would they suddenly want to do another paternity test for no reason? When they learn this child is of Mendoza blood and is seriously ill, they'll only think about curing him as soon as possible. Why would they think of anything else?"

"That may be true, but I'm still uneasy. Pharrell is my child. If anything dangerous happens to him..."

"If you keep spouting this nonsense, I'll show you what real danger is." The man said coldly.

A chill shot from Monica's feet straight to the top of her head. She quickly said, "I won't say anymore. Please, please don't hurt my child."

Although the child was now under the Mendoza family's protection, the shadow this man cast over her was too deep.

So hearing him speak like this still filled her with terror.

Moreover, she had other family members in this man's grasp.

She couldn't take the risk.

"Stop overthinking. What you should be doing now is entering the Mendoza family, making them accept you, making Alberto Mendoza fall in love with you, and then, help me get what I want. As for other things, they're not for you to consider. Even if any situations arise, I can handle them."

"I understand."

With the man's words, Monica could feel slightly more at ease.

She hung up the phone and sat alone on the sofa, staring blankly at the bottle of water Adeline had handed her earlier.

When Adeline left the room, Harrison Thomson was waiting for her at the door.

Seeing her come out, he immediately stepped forward and took her hand, then frowned.

"Why are your hands so cold?"

Adeline said, "It's nothing."

Harrison wrapped her hands in his and asked, "Go rest at the hotel, or go home?"

"To the hotel." A trace of weariness appeared between Adeline's brows. "I don't want to take the car home again."

Although it wasn't too far, she was in an inexplicably bad mood now and just wanted to quickly go rest in the hotel room.

"Alright."

Harrison immediately arranged for it without another word.

He could tell Adeline wasn't in a good mood.m

Once they reached the hotel room, he had someone bring over many of Adeline's favorite foods, along with several cans of cola. He also found a comedy movie to watch with Adeline.

Adeline drank nearly half a can of cola in one go, leaned against Harrison's chest, and watched the people laughing and joking in the movie. Her mood did improve a lot.

"You know me so well now." She poked his solid. chest.

Harrison fed her a piece of pear and smiled, "As your boyfriend, this is the least I must do."

Adeline directly flipped over, sitting facing him on his lap, and leaned down to kiss him.

A flicker of surprise passed through Harrison's eyes.

Of course, their relationship had always been good. It was just that a lot had happened recently, and she hadn't been this proactive for a while.

But the surprise was only momentary. During such a proactive moment from her, he naturally had to seize it well. So he quickly closed his eyes and seriously enjoyed the kiss.

After her bath, Adeline's mood had completely recovered. She lay on the bed playing with her phone, her soft black hair spreading out like seaweed, creating a strong visual contrast with her smooth, beautiful back.

This scene stimulated a certain part of Harrison's body to stir again. He reached out to hold Adeline, but she swatted his hand away without hesitation.

"Go play by yourself."

Harrison smiled helplessly, "Just now you said I was your good medicine, and now you're turning your back on me?"

"Who's turning their back on you?" Adeline argued slyly. "I'm just telling you to play by yourself for a while."

"But I don't want to play by myself. I want to play with you."
