One night stand with my president(chapter 504)

Chapter 504: Just Leave

But honestly, Daphne wasn't doing this for Harrison's sake.

It was all for Adeline.

She was determined to get close to Adeline.

Then she'd see if Harrison dared act all high and mighty in front of her.

Adeline drank most of her coffee, feeling much more awake.

Daphne personally did her makeup and styling.

Besides photography, her skills as a makeup artist and stylist were top-tier.

It was just that she rarely did it herself.

But today, with Adeline as her subject, Daphne couldn't leave it to anyone else.

After hair and makeup, Daphne dragged Adeline off to change clothes.

When Adeline walked back out in a new outfit, Daphne caught the stunned look in Harrison's eyes and felt immensely satisfied.

It was all because it was Adeline.

If it was anyone else, no matter how well she dressed them up, Harrison wouldn't have even glanced at them.

"Well? Doesn't my Adeline look gorgeous?"

Daphne said proudly.

Harrison shot her a cool look. "Your Adeline?"

Daphne rolled her eyes, "Fine, fine, your Adeline. Geez, you're so possessive."

Dismissing Harrison, she pulled Adeline away for photos.

It was Adeline's first time modeling for someone else.

At first, she was definitely a little stiff, but she was smart and adaptable.

So before long, she started to relax and find her groove in front of the camera.

Daphne was so excited she was practically squealing with joy.

Sometimes, Adeline even had her own ideas, but she never insisted.

She'd discuss them with Daphne.

After all, Daphne was an internationally renowned photographer.

Adeline figured more communication could only help.

Halfway through, they took a break.

Daphne had nearly lost her voice from all the shouting.

An assistant quickly handed her some soothing tea.

She gulped it down and thought about going over to chat with Adeline, but she saw Harrison sitting right there, feeding Adeline water himself.

Daphne wisely decided not to go play the third wheel.

Harrison watched Adeline down nearly half a cup of water in one go, feeling a pang of worry.

"Are you tired?" he asked. "If you're tired, we can stop and go home."

"I'm fine!" Adeline said quickly. "It's my first time doing this, and it's actually kind of fun.

We're already halfway done. I can't just quit

now."

Harrison understood. He wasn't one to quit halfway either, but he always put Adeline first.

Just then, the crisp click of high heels echoed across the floor.

Daphne frowned in confusion. She hadn't invited anyone else today.

She turned and saw a tall woman striding over in heels.

"Miss Vaughn, it's been a while."

The woman took off her sunglasses.

Daphne finally recognized her. It was Victoria.

They'd worked together a few times before and always got along well.

Victoria was a world-famous supermodel, and from a photographer's perspective, Daphne genuinely liked her.

"Miss Holmes, what brings you here?"

Daphne asked, surprised.

"I just happened to be in the neighborhood," Victoria said with a smile, "and heard you were here, so I wanted to stop by and say hi. Working today, Miss Vaughn?"

"Not exactly work," Daphne replied. "Just a little creative session with two friends."

She glanced at Harrison and Adeline.

Victoria followed her gaze, and as if she'd just noticed them, clicked over in her heels, flashing Harrison a smile.

"Mr. Thomson! I didn't realize you were here."

Harrison didn't so much as look at her, let alone respond.

Victoria didn't let it faze her. Her eyes fell on Adeline.

"And who's this?"

The question was clearly for show.

With her social standing, she obviously knew who Harrison's girlfriend was.

Adeline just gave her a brief smile, making no effort to respond.

Nobody here was stupid.

Everyone could see right through Victoria's game.

Adeline had no intention of making an enemy of Victoria, but she wasn't about to act overly friendly, either.

Sensing the chilly vibe, Daphne quickly stepped in to smooth things over.

She had some history with Victoria, after all.

"Miss Holmes, this is Adeline. She's Harrison's girlfriend."

Daphne wasn't dumb.

She could tell Victoria might be interested in Harrison.

In her head, she called Victoria crazy.

Harrison already had a girlfriend, and even if he didn't, Victoria was way out of her depth.

So Daphne emphasized it. Adeline was Harrison's girlfriend.

She hoped Victoria could kill the fantasy and

bury those feelings for good.

But Victoria showed no intention of giving up.

She smiled ambiguously. "Oh, so this is Miss Hensley."

Her tone was loaded with meaning.

Before Adeline could reply, Harrison lost patience.

"Is something the matter?" he said coldly.

His gaze was openly hostile, full of warning.

Victoria should not think about bothering

Adeline.

Victoria was used to high society, but even she couldn't help feeling rattled.

Forcing a smile, she said, "No, nothing in particular. I just wanted to come over and say hello to Mr. Thomson and Miss Hensley..."

"If you've got nothing to say, then leave,"

Harrison cut her off, making it crystal clear she wasn't welcome.

Daphne shot her a look, thinking, "If Harrison didn't actually tell you to get lost, you should count yourself lucky."

"Well, then I'll just..."

Victoria started to excuse herself, but then she hesitated.

She'd gone to all this trouble to find out where Harrison was and even used her connection with Daphne to get in.

She wasn't about to leave so easily.

She didn't know when she'd get another shot at seeing Harrison again.

The truth was, Victoria didn't even really like Harrison that much.

It was more about his looks and status.

Still, it rankled her.

She'd never been ignored or treated so coldly by any man before.

Now it was a matter of pride. She had to win him over.

Her eyes flickered as she turned to Daphne with a smile. "It's been ages since l've, seen you work, Daphne. Would you mind if I just sat and watched quietly for a while? I promise I won't disturb anything."

Daphne didn't bother sugarcoating it: "Honestly, that's not really convenient. I don't like outsiders around when I'm working."

She would've given Victoria some face, but if Victoria wouldn't take the hint, that was her problem. Daphne had never been one to mince words.

Victoria clearly hadn't expected Daphne to reject her so bluntly. Her face grew even paler.

She suddenly lowered her voice and leaned close to Daphne, whispering, "Aren't you still looking for that person? You know, I might've heard something about him recently..."
