One night stand with my president(chapter 505)

Chapter 505: He Just Ignored Her

The moment Victoria said those words, Daphne's expression changed instantly.

She gave Victoria a long, hard look, as if trying to judge if she was telling the truth.

But Victoria's face remained perfectly calm, not a hint of a lie.

Daphne frowned and asked, "Where is he?"

Victoria curled her lips into a sly smile. "This information is pretty valuable to you, isn't it, Daphne? So, I think it's only fair you give me something valuable in return."

Daphne didn't respond.

Victoria continued, "I don't want much, just let me stay here today, and I'll tell you what I know."

Daphne blinked, then nodded. "Fine, you can stay."

She didn't bother lowering her voice.

Both Harrison and Adeline heard every word.

The two of them glanced over.

Daphne shot them a look.

Harrison's brow furrowed ever so slightly.

A moment later, he and Adeline both stood up.

"Since you have another guest today, we might not bother you," Harrison said.

Victoria froze, her smile faltering.

She'd only insisted on staying to be close to Harrison, and now, he was leaving.

What was the point of staying?

"Wait..."

Seeing Harrison and Adeline about to walk away, Victoria hurried after them, but Daphne caught her wrist.

"Miss Holmes, weren't you just saying you wanted to stay?" Daphne said, half-smiling. "I'm letting you stay, so why are you suddenly so eager to leave?”

"Daphne," Victoria snapped, "are you playing games with me?"

Daphne smiled, but her eyes were cold.

"Playing games? How am I playing games, Miss Holmes? You said you wanted to stay, and that's exactly what I'm letting you do. Isn't that enough?"

By now, Harrison and Adeline had already vanished from view.

Victoria had never experienced anything like this before, and despite all her composure, she felt tears sting her eyes out of pure frustration and humiliation.

"Let go of me, Daphne."

Instead of letting go, Daphne's grip only tightened.

"Victoria, you barged in here uninvited and tried to blackmail me with something you knew I cared about. I've already been more than generous with you. Don't push your luck. Did you really think I was that easy to mess with?"

Victoria's heart sank.

She'd nearly forgotten that Daphne was known for her temper, and rumor had it her father was someone important.

No one ever said exactly who, but everyone always advised that don't get on Daphne's bad side.

So Victoria softened her tone and managed a meek, "I'm sorry, Miss Vaughn. I got carried away earlier. Please don't take it to heart."

Daphne snorted. "Just give me the information I want."

Anxious to catch up to Harrison, Victoria rushed out her answer, "A friend of mine saw him in Yewhaina, just for a moment, so maybe she was mistaken, but she swears it looked like him."

As Daphne's grip slackened, Victoria yanked her wrist free, clicked off in her heels, and left without looking back.

Daphne stood frozen for a long moment, thinking, "He went to Yewhaina?" Memories of the time they'd spent together flooded back, and her eyes stung with tears.

An assistant rushed over, concern etched on her face. "Are you Okay?"

Daphne shook herself out of it and shook her

head. "I'm fine. Tell the others to clean up. I need a break."

"Are you sure you're alright? You really don't look well..."

"I'm fine. Just leave me alone for a bit."

Seeing Daphne's frown, the assistant didn't dare press any further and simply watched her walk away.

Victoria, supermodel that she was, managed to run in heels as if she were born for it.

But as soon as she stepped out of the studio, she caught sight of Harrison holding the car door open for Adeline, his hand carefully shielding her as she climbed in.

Victoria bit her lip in frustration.

She just didn't get it.

In terms of looks and poise, she didn't think she was any less than Adeline.

She didn't expect Harrison to fall for her

at first sight like other men did, but how could he so blatantly ignore her?

Victoria thought, "Is it all because he already has Adeline by his side? What's so special about that woman, anyway?"

Victoria had done her homework the past few days.

Adeline had been with Harrison for more than five years.

It had been five years, and Harrison was still looking at that same face. Didn't he ever get tired of it?

No matter how pretty a woman was, after five years, wouldn't you be bored?

Unable to hold back, Victoria called out, "Mr.

Thomson!"

Harrison only paused for a split second.

Then, without so much as glancing her way, he got in the car.

Victoria's heart pounded as she rushed toward the car calling, "Mr. Thomson, let me explain about the last fashion show. I was set up. Someone put me up to it..."

But before she could finish, Harrison had already shut the car door.

The car drove off without a moment's hesitation, leaving her standing there.

Thank God there wasn't a puddle.

Otherwise, she'd probably be splattered all over.

Victoria stared after the departing car, her face ashen.

She'd even betrayed Russell in a desperate bid for Harrison's attention, but that didn't work.

What Victoria didn't know was that Russell's trusted aide had been lurking nearby, and he had seen everything-her chasing after Harrison, her every word.

Naturally, he'd report it all to Russell.

In the car, Harrison kept sneaking worried glances at Adeline.

"Don't be mad, okay?" he said softly.

"There's nothing between me and her."

After the runway show, when the media tried to make a big deal out of things, he'd had every false rumor taken down.

He'd even made the Thomson Group's official account issue a statement.

Now nobody online was shipping him with Victoria anymore.

Truth be told, he really wanted to go public about his relationship with Adeline, but he hadn't gotten her consent, so he didn't dare.

Adeline shot him a look.

Of course she trusted Harrison.

If they didn't even have that much trust, they would've been torn apart by gossip long ago.

But watching how nervous he was, Adeline couldn't help feeling a little mischievous.

She deliberately put on a stern face.

"Really? Because I'm pretty sure I saw you staring at her just now."

Harrison practically choked. When had he stared at her? He hadn't even looked at Victoria twice.
