One night stand with my president(chapter 496)

 Chapter 496: No Turning Back

Adeline could actually feel her cheeks flush under the intensity of Harrison's gaze.

They'd known each other so long, even lived together for a while, but somehow, right now, his eyes still made her feel shy.

"Stop staring at me like that," Adeline mumbled, flustered. "You must be exhausted from your trip. Go take a shower, then let's get dinner."

"A shower?" Harrison shot her a loaded look.

Adeline instantly understood and gave him a playful pinch on the waist. "I mean go shower and change clothes, so we can go out for dinner."

"Okay." Harrison nodded but started undressing right there.

Just when Adeline thought he was finally behaving himself, he suddenly asked, "Want to join me?"

Adeline rolled her eyes. "No. Hurry up and go."

But Harrison had other ideas.

He caught her wrist, scooped her up, and carried her straight toward the bathroom.

"Harrison! Put me down!”

She squirmed and protested, but Harrison didn't let go.

His voice was low and rough. "Not a chance, Adeline."

It was past midnight when the night staff received the order to send a late-night meal to the penthouse suite.

Everyone knew the guests staying up there were VIPs, so no one dared be careless.

The kitchen had prepared an array of exquisite dishes, and a server quickly delivered them to the top floor.

He'd been told to bring the food inside, set it up on the dining table, and leave quietly.

Carefully opening the door, he glanced at the closed bedroom, arranged the food as instructed, and then slipped away as fast as he could.

Inside the bedroom, Harrison was holding

Adeline in his arms, clearly not satisfied yet, but when Adeline complained she was hungry, he gave in and ordered food.

"I heard something outside," Harrison said gently, coaxing her. "Probably the food has arrived. Want to go eat?"

Adeline, limp and sleepy but too hungry to rest, kicked Harrison out of frustration, though it came out more like a lazy, playful nudge.

Harrison just laughed, got out of bed, and carried Adeline to the dining table.

He settled her in a chair, ladled out chicken soup, and fed her spoonful by spoonful.

Adeline was genuinely starving; after the first bowl, she immediately wanted another.

Harrison let her eat as much as she wanted, fussing over her the whole time.

All the dishes were delicious and nutritious, so he didn't mind.

Once she was full, Harrison grabbed a quick bite himself and then brought Adeline to the bathroom to get ready for bed.

Adeline thought she'd finally get to sleep, but Harrison clearly had other plans.

Even when she protested, he didn't push.

He just teased her slowly, and he knew her body far too well.

Soon enough, Adeline felt the heat building up again.

She glared at him in annoyance, but Harrison just silenced her with a kiss.

By the time she drifted off to sleep, she had no idea how much time had passed.

She only remembered seeing a ray of sunlight slipping through the curtains.

Pedro woke up groggy and confused.

His head throbbed and his legs felt cold.

He remembered drinking a lot the night before, frustrated after failing to find Benjamin, then passing out in his hotel.

The headache made sense, but why were his legs so cold?

Still half-asleep, Pedro slowly looked around.

The room was dim, lit only by a faint overhead bulb.

He squinted and abruptly snapped awake.

There was water everywhere.

He was standing in it.

Shocked, Pedro screamed, and chains rattled.

Both his wrists and ankles were bound.

"Somebody! Help!" he yelled.

Last night he'd been drinking in his hotel. He didn't know how he had ended up here, who brought him over, or where his men were.

He kept shouting, over and over, until his throat was raw.

Finally, he heard something-a faint sound, just when he was about to give up.

It was the creak of a door, coming from somewhere above his head.

Pedro quickly looked up and saw a sliver of light shining through a gap overhead.

So, this was an underground water dungeon.

A shadow appeared at the top of the stairs, slowly making its way down.

As the figure drew closer, just above him, Pedro finally saw who it was.

"Benjamin!" Pedro shouted, furious. "How dare you."

He'd come here to capture Benjamin, but now he was the one in chains.

"We finally meet, Mr. Livingston," Benjamin said with a mocking smile. "You've been dying to see me, haven't you? Well, here I am. You don't look so happy."

"Benjamin, you bastard! Let me go, now!"

Pedro roared.

Benjamin just smiled lazily, pacing overhead.

"Mr. Livingston, you've always been so foolish and useless, haven't you?"

That only made Pedro angrier. "Benjamin, you tricked me before, and now this? You're finished. Just wait, I'll get you back for this!"

Benjamin shrugged. "Maybe worry about your own situation first."

Pedro shivered.

The water was icy, and so was his heart.

Benjamin was supposed to be on the run, hunted by the Thomson and Mendoza families, not to mention the Mugroaton police.

Yet even now, he could arrange something like this. Pedro realized he was totally outmatched.

A chill was spreading deeper and deeper inside Pedro's heart.

He knew he was no match for Benjamin-never had been, though he hated to admit it.

But now, he had no choice but to face the truth.

"I get it, alright? I won't go against you anymore. Just let me go. I'll head straight back to Yewhaina. Whatever grudge you have with the Thomson familv and the Mendoza family. I’m out."

Pedro forced the words out, practically choking on his pride.

It was humiliating to back down like this, but right now, escaping this hellhole was all that mattered. He had to show weakness.

After all, if his own men couldn't even stop him from being kidnapped, how could he count on them to come rescue him now?

But Benjamin didn't react. He just stood there, silent for a long time.

Pedro grew anxious and finally shouted, "Did you hear me? I said let me go! Now!"

No sooner had he finished than Benjamin gave him a cold, menacing smile.

"Mr. Livingston, since you're already

here, whether you want to be involved or not is not up to you anymore."
