One night stand with my president(chapter 530)

Chapter 530: Her Beloved Harrison

He hadn't been studying at Daltoria for long.

But somehow, it felt like it had been ages since he last saw Adeline.

She hadn't changed at all'and was still as beautiful and radiant as before.

But then again, it had only been a short time.

How much could she change in that time?

Ronan turned to look at Connie and Joyce, giving them a smile. "Ladies, may I have a private word with Miss Hensley?"

He was already handsome, and when he smiled like that, he became irresistibly charming, especially with the way he addressed them as "ladies". It was hard for them to resist his charm.

However, Connie and Joyce were both in relationships.

So, they tried to keep their composure, glancing at Adeline to ask for her approval.

Once Adeline nodded, they got up and moved to a nearby table.

"Miss Hensley," Ronan began, "How is my family? Is my grandfather doing well?"

"They're all fine," Adeline replied.

Since Ronan went abroad, he hadn't kept in touch with his family much.

It wasn't that he didn't want to contact them.

It was just that every time he thought of Milania, he felt guilty toward his family.

Even though Milania's crimes weren't his fault, she was still his mother, and he couldn't get past that emotional barrier.

Plus, he kept thinking that if he had paid more attention to his family and if he had noticed Milania's odd behavior earlier, he could've stopped her.

Maybe, just maybe, Milania wouldn't have gone down the wrong path.

"That's good to hear," Ronan said.

He hesitated for a moment, as if deciding whether to ask the next question.

Adeline could see right through him.

"You want to ask about your mother, don't you?"

Ronan nodded slightly.

No matter what Milania had done, she was still his mother, and he cared about her.

"She's still in detention," Adeline said. "The trial hasn't happened yet, but..."

She paused, then added, "You'd better prepare yourself. With the charges she's facing, she might be sentenced to a long time."

She had committed arson and attempted murder, after all.

And with the Thomson Group's legal team involved, it's very likely that she'll spend the rest of her life behind bars.

Ronan's hand trembled slightly.

Adeline, feeling a bit guilty, said, "I heard that she's been honest in detention, not causing any trouble, not self-harming."

"I see," Ronan replied softly. "Thank you for telling me this, Miss Hensley."

"Nothing," Adeline said.

Ronan quietly sipped his drink, lost in thought.

Adeline had thought about mentioning Isaline, but then decided against it.

She didn't know the details of their relationship, so it was best not to meddle.

Maybe he was still in touch with Isaline.

She looked at Ronan and realized he had changed.

On the surface, he seemed the same as before.

But when she looked closer, she saw how much more mature he had become.

Before, he had seemed like just a kid.

Now, he seemed much more grown-up.

Lorenzo and Harrison would probably be glad to see how much he had matured.

Ronan paused for a moment, then seemed to shift topics. "Why didn't Harrison come to Yewhaina with you?" Adeline fell silent.

Thinking of Harrison, she was filled with both longing and worry.

Even though Harrison had repeatedly assured her that everything would be fine, she couldn't help but worry.

After all, he was her partner, and it made sense that she was concerned about him.

She believed in Harrison's abilities.

But the more she cared, the more anxious she became.

"What's wrong?" Ronan asked, his tone suddenly serious. "Has something happened to him?"

He noticed Adeline's troubled expression.

Adeline snapped out of her thoughts, quickly smiling. "No, nothing's wrong. He's just been busy with the company, so he couldn't come.

He'll be here in a little while."

Since Ronan was studying abroad, there was no point in telling him everything. She didn't want Ronan to worry too much..

Ronan sighed with relief. "That's good."

After a while, a young man walked into the bar and waved at Ronan.

Ronan waved back and then turned to Adeline.

"Miss Hensley, my friend has arrived. I'm going to go join him."

"Alright, go ahead."

Ronan gave her one last lingering look before getting up and leaving.

After he left, Connie and Joyce returned, both with mischievous grins on their faces.

"Adeline, that handsome guy likes you, right?" Connie asked.

"Isn't it obvious? He definitely likes you," Joyce said confidently. "I've seen so many guys like you over the years, and I could tell by the way he looked at you."

Adeline groaned. "You guys are crazy."

Joyce sighed dramatically. "What a

disaster, Adeline. You have no idea how many hearts you've broken over the years."

Adeline rolled her eyes. "It sounds like you think I'm some kind of heartbreaker."

"You're not a heartbreaker," Joyce laughed.

"I think they'd probably love for you to be one, just to play with their feelings."

"Stop it."

"Fine, I won't say anything more. If Mr. Thomson finds out, I'll be dead meat!" Joyce glanced around nervously, as if Harrison's spies were nearby.

"My babe isn't that petty," Adeline said.

"Oh, you babe," Joyce and Connie teased, mimicking Adeline's tone with exaggerated affection.

Adeline ignored them and relaxed as she sipped her fruit wine.

Just then, a bodyguard rushed over and whispered something to Adeline.

Adeline frowned slightly.

The bodyguard left after delivering the message.

Seeing her change in expression, Joyce immediately asked, "What happened?"

Adeline gave her a sympathetic look.

Joyce shuddered under Adeline's gaze.

"Why are you looking at me like that?"

"Because I feel really sorry for you," Adeline replied. "You've been targeted by a lunatic."

At her words, Joyce immediately understood.

"No way," she said, her voice dripping with disbelief. "Don't tell me he followed us here already."

"You guessed it," Adeline sighed. "And he's near the bar now."

If the bodyguards hadn't spotted him and stopped him outside, He'd probably already be here, standing right in front of Joyce.

Joyce clenched her teeth in anger.

"What are you two talking about?" Connie asked, confused.

She still didn't know about Callan.

Joyce was too disgusted to speak, so Adeline briefly explained the situation.

After hearing Adeline, Connie felt disgusted by the man.

After a moment of thought, she suddenly sneered.

"How dare he come to Yewhaina? That's just stupid."
