One night stand with my president(chapter 487)

Chapter 487: Stay Alone with You

Adeline looked at him and suddenly smiled.

"Alright," she said, "I'll wait and see with you."

Although she knew she was harboring some anger, seeing her smile made Russell's heart flutter.

His gaze gradually dropped, landing on her hands.

"Are you planning to call Harrison and warn him?"

"No need," Adeline said lightly. "Since you're not intending to harm him and just testing him, I'll give you what you want."

She didn't really want to wait and see the outcome.

She just wanted Russell to give up.

Russell silently watched her for a while, then shifted his gaze, looking up at the trees full of blossoms.

"So beautiful," he said.

Adeline also looked up.

It was indeed beautiful.

She would bring Harrison here when he had time in a few days.

"It's rare to have the opportunity to be alone with you like this," Russell said, a slight smile tugging at his lips.

Just standing next to her, he already felt incredibly satisfied.

"How pitiful," he thought.

Adeline didn't respond to his words.

If it were someone else, she might have advised him to spend more time with his family.

But Russell's family was a different story.

Russell was pitiful in his own way, enjoying great wealth, but also carrying immense loneliness.

The love and familial bonds that normal people had were an unattainable luxury for him.

She wondered if he would feel envious when he saw families living harmoniously with You together.

Adeline instinctively turned her head to look at him.

It so happened that Russell looked at her.

He froze for a moment, then let out a bitter smile. "Miss Hensley, your sympathy is too obvious."

Adeline quickly turned her head away.

She did feel sympathy for Russell.

But that didn't mean she could let him do whatever he wanted.

What Russell had done this time still made her very angry.

When she got back, she would discuss it with Harrison and think of how to "repay" him.

Russell raised his wrist to glance at his watch.

"By now, Harrison should have already left for the show..."

"Probably," Adeline replied.

"You're so sure he won't disappoint you?"

"He's my boyfriend. Of course I trust him.

Otherwise, why would I be with him?"

Russell tightened his fingers.

He self-deprecatingly said, "I really envy him."

They both stood by the trees, making small talk here and there.

Neither of them noticed that a camera in a corner was quietly pointing at them.

Harrison was indeed already in the car

heading to the show.

Watching the scenery fly by outside the window, he absentmindedly tapped his finger on the glass, lost in thought.

He was thinking about Adeline.

If only she were here with him.

After a while, the driver stopped the car at the entrance of the show.

The event organizer was already waiting at the door, just for him.

"Mr. Thomson, there you are," the organizer said, bowing slightly and shaking his hand.

Harrison politely shook his hand.

The organizer escorted Harrison inside, speaking various pleasantries as they walked. However, when he looked up and saw Harrison's face, his heart suddenly skipped a beat.

"Why did Mr. Thomson look so upset? Did I do something wrong?" he thought.

The organizer nearly broke into a cold sweat, replaying his actions in his mind to see if anything had been off.

Once inside the show, the first thing to catch their eyes was the wide runway.

The show hadn't started yet, but most of the guests had already arrived.

The first row on the left, with the best view, was reserved for Harrison.

There was an empty seat next to him.

The organizer glanced around and cautiously asked, "Miss Hensley didn't come with you”

  2. I trust Harrison cso much as not to fall into such trap again because Mr Russell and the model lady came so late. He will be very careful about his drinks, the people coming closer to him in the show. As long as Harrison and Adeline are both waiting to see who's behind their separation for some days, he won't fall into such trap oooo.
