One night stand with my president(chapter 519)

 Chapter 519: Little Monsters

Adeline laughed, "Why don't you let me be a godmother first?"

Joyce grinned, "I'm not even married yet. What's the rush?"

"Oh, please, I'm not married either!"

Joyce froze for a second and then burst out laughing, "That's true, you and Mr. Thomson arent married yet, but honestly, sometimes I get this weird feeling you two are already an old married couple."

Maybe it was because they'd spent five years together before.

Even if they were just boss and secretary back then, Joyce always thought they must've liked each other long ago.

Not that she'd say that to Adeline's face, but she didn't want to get tackled and tickled into submission.

Watching Alondra zipping around in the bumper cars, Joyce murmured, "She's such a sweet kid, but she's been through a lot."

"Yeah," Adeline sighed quietly.

Sure, Alondra would probably never have to worry about money or comfort in the Thomson family.

But some wounds in the heart just wouldn't heal.

She was still little, so some things could be hidden for now, but as she got older, the truth would come out, one way or another.

Adeline fell silent, lost in thought.

Suddenly, Joyce's voice pulled her back.

"Hey, what's up with those two boys? Are they picking on Alondra?"

Adeline's head whipped around.

Yeah, bumper cars are meant to crash, but those two boys were definitely going after Alondra, ramming her on purpose. Finally, they teamed up and cornered her car so she couldn't move, making her face turn red with frustration.

Adeline's face went cold.

She immediately flagged down a staff member and explained the situation.

The staff guy looked uncomfortable.

He clearly didn't want to get involved, but Adeline's stare was intense..

He felt pressured, so he raised his voice and called out, "Whose kids are those two boys over there?"

Two women stepped forward.

"What's going on?"

"Could you please keep an eye on your kids?

They're bullying a little girl. That's really not Okay."

He was polite, but the two moms instantly exploded.

"What are you talking about? My son would never bully a girl. Don't talk nonsense!"

"Yeah, they're just playing! That's what bumper cars are for. If your daughter is so fragile, maybe don't bring her to an amusement park!"

"My son is the sweetest. If you ask me, it's probably that little girl causing trouble."

"If you don't like it, buy out the whole park.

Otherwise, my son can play however he wants!"

Joyce was about to lose it.

"No wonder those brats act like little monsters. With moms like you, what do you expect? Rotten apples don't fall far from the tree."

"Excuse me? Did you just insult us?"

"Who, me? Insult you? Please. But if you really can't see your kids ganging up on a little girl, l don't know what to tell you. It's parents like you that raise little terrors.”

The two women turned red, stammering for a comeback but couldn't out-argue Joyce.

Just then, two men showed up.

"What's going on, honey?"

"Why are you fighting with people?"

Apparently, these were the husbands.

At that moment, Alondra, shaken, ran out of the bumper car ring and threw herself into Adeline's arms, eyes wet with tears.

"It's Okay, honey. You're safe," Adeline murmured, hugging her close with one arm while texting furiously with the other.

The two women wasted no time whining to their husbands.

"She called me names!"

"And she insulted me too! They even accused our boys of bullying that girl. I was watching the whole time, but nothing happened. Honestly, I think that girl is the troublemaker!"

The men didn't even bother getting the facts.

One pointed at Adeline and Joyce, shouting, "So you two bitches think you can bully people?"

The other rolled up his sleeves, ready to fight.

The staff member looked like he was about to have a meltdown.

He thought, "Have these guys lost their minds?! They know exactly what little gremlins their own kids are, don't they? And yet they've got the gall to claim the girl's the one misbehaving. One pint-sized girl bullying their two boys? Yeah, right. Besides, what kind of man swings first and asks questions never?"

The problem was, both men looked like extras from a crime flick, mean and ready to rumble.

No way the staff were getting between them.

They spun on their heels to grab security.

But just then, a pack of bodyguards materialized out of thin air.

They barely moved, and the two thugs were on the floor in a heartbeat, collecting a couple of well-deserved punches for good measure.

The women screamed in terror.

"Who are you people? You can't just beat someone up!"

"Where's security? Where are the park guards?"

One of the bodyguards turned, face full of menace, and glared.

The women shrank back, but seeing their husbands pinned down, they screamed for help, desperate for the amusement park staff to step in.

"You can't just hit people! This is so unfair!

Somebody call security!"

Joyce sneered, "And what, exactly, will security do? You started all this."

"We didn't do anything! You're making things up!"

At this point, the crowd of onlookers couldn't keep quiet any longer.

"Lady, you'd better stop talking. We all saw it. Your sons were ganging up on that little girl, and you're out here twisting the story."

"Yeah, instead of disciplining your own kids, you thought you could intimidate people because your husbands are here. But now that you see bodyguards, you're scared, huh?"

"Serves you right, honestly."

"Come on, if they can afford bodyguards, you think they're scared of security?"

That last comment seemed to snap the women out of it.

Yeah, if these folks had bodyguards, they were probably loaded.

The two women thought, "With bodyguards that skilled, they may not just be ordinary rich."

Just then, the park manager arrived, flanked by several security guards.

  2. That's how some of our parents are. Which is not good for our kids, and with such attitude towards covering up for their kids, it leads to a lot of rotten apples that falls not far from the trees. Just like Joyce said to the two women before their husbands came .
