Chapter 488: A Date with Another Man
Just as the organizer had been anxiously wondering whether he had made a mistake, Harrison had no intention of scolding him.
However, the question he just casually asked thinking it wouldn't cause any problems, was exactly where Harrison's patience was tested.
Harrison's expression darkened, his face growing even more unpleasant.
He stared at the empty seat next to him.
Adeline should have been sitting there.
But now she was in another city.
Last night, he had lain alone in the empty bed.
He wanted to call Adeline, but knowing she was asleep, he didn't want to wake her.
He had only managed to doze off in a daze when the sky was beginning to lighten.
Now, the organizer dared to ask that question.
Didn't he see that Adeline wasn't by his side?
The organizer felt a cold shiver run through him.
He couldn't help but tremble as he thought,
"What's happening? Have I said something wrong? I have only asked if Miss Hensley was coming. Has Miss Hensley offended Mr.
Thomson and been fired? Is that why Mr.
Thomson is so upset hearing her name?"
The organizer's mind was racing, trying to piece it together. He dared not make a sound in front of Harrison and, trembling, hurriedly gestured for him to sit.
Once Harrison sat down, the organizer quickly made an excuse to leave.
Those who had planned to approach Harrison and make small talk suddenly felt the tense atmosphere and dared not approach.
"What happened to Mr. Thomson?"
"I don't know, but he's definitely not happy. We'd better not disturb him."
"Miss Hensley isn't by his side today."
"Could it be because of Miss Hensley?"
"Come to think of it, why isn't Miss Hensley with him? That seat beside him was reserved for her."
"Maybe Mr. Thomson fired Miss Hensley?"
"You guys really don't know anything?"
"What do you know? Tell us."
"I've heard that Mr. Thomson and Miss Hensley have been together for a while now. She's definitely going to be Mrs. Thomson."
"Is that true? I remember they were just rumors before, and didn't they clarify them?"
"That was a long time ago. Things are different now. Let me tell you, to avoid offending Mr. Thomson, you better not offend Miss Hensley."
Everyone nodded.
Although they weren't sure if it was true, they didn't dare take any chances.
The show hadn't started yet, and Harrison looked at the lights on the runway. Thinking about Adeline, who must have already reached the top of the mountain, he pulled out his phone to call her.
"She must be exhausted after climbing all the way to the top," he thought.
But just then, he received a message from an unknown number.
It was a few photos.
The first photo was of two people's backs.
But one of them, he recognized immediately.
It was Adeline.
Even from just the back, he could identify her right away.
And the other person in the photo seemed to be Russell.
Harrison scrolled down.
The second photo was of the two of them face-to-face.
The two seemed to be talking about something.
After seeing the other person's profile, Harrison confirmed It was definitely Russell.
Harrison thought, "Adeline is with Russell in Aurgville?"
Shortly after, another message came through.
This time, it wasn't a photo, but text.
"Did you see? Your girlfriend is on a date with another man in Aurgville."
