One night stand with my president(chapter 500)

Chapter 500. Together for a Lifetime

Hearing their thanks, Adeline gave them a gentle smile. "It's nothing. Judging by your uniforms, you two are college students from a nearby campus, right? Try not to stay out so late. It's not safe."

She wasn't blaming the victims, just being honest. The night always hides its share of dangers.

Sure, they'd only come out for a late-night movie, but what's the use of reasoning with guys like those? In the end, it was always the innocent who suffered.

"Yeah, we understand," the boy nodded quickly.

"Alright, get back safe," Adeline added.

The couple thanked them over and over before finally heading out.

Wanting to be thorough, Adeline shot off a quick message, arranging for a few men to quietly follow and make sure they got back to campus safely.

The moment the couple left the theater,

Their leader approached and quietly reported to Harrison, "We checked those men's backgrounds. They're Jamarion's people."

"Him again," Harrison said coldly. "He must be getting old if he can't even keep his men in line."

Adeline stood right beside Harrison, catching every word.

"Speaking of Jamarion..." she frowned, "what about Callan? What's he up to these days?"

The bodyguard quickly replied, "Last I heard, he's been keeping his head down. Jamarion's got him on a short leash."

"Good," Adeline said.

She was worried Callan would start bothering Joyce again.

Right now, Joyce and Sam were finally happy together.

She just hoped that nothing else would go wrong.

"Rough those idiots up and send them back to Jamarion," Harrison ordered coolly. "And

tell him, if he can't control his son and his men, then he'd better keep out of my way."

"Understood."

The movie theater was on the top floor of the mall.

The mall was already closed, but when the staff heard Harrison and Adeline were there, several managers hurried over, waiting respectfully by the VIP elevator to see them out.

Adeline couldn't help feeling a little helpless.

She'd only wanted to see a movie on a whim, never meant for it to turn into such a big deal.

But after what happened, there was no hiding it.

Whether she wanted attention or not, word got out anyway.

The mall staff were clearly terrified, just hoping Harrison wouldn't hold it against them.

Harrison, however, didn't seem interested in assigning blame.

There was a little chaos, sure, but as long as

Adeline enjoyed the movie, that was all that mattered.

If she was happy, he was happy.

Their car was already waiting outside.

Adeline, still wide awake after sleeping so much during the day, suddenly turned to Harrison, eyes sparkling.

"What is it?" Harrison asked.

"How about we pull an all-nighter?" she grinned.

In the dead of night, the amusement park lit up like a festival.

Several sleepy staff were jolted out of bed, grumbling, until they saw their hefty bonuses and immediately perked up.

Who wouldn't want more nights like this?

Soon, everyone was rushing to open rides and prepare for their VIP guests.

It wasn't long before the guests arrived.

It was a stunning young couple, both with striking looks and an air of effortless elegance.

They looked vaguely familiar, but the staff couldn't place them.

Either way, these two were the real VIPs tonight, and everyone bent over backward to please them.

Since she'd already slept so much, Adeline didn't dare go on anything too wild. She didn't trust her heart could take it in the middle of the night.

After trying a few rides, she pulled Harrison onto the Ferris wheel with her.

As the Ferris wheel rose higher and higher, Adeline leaned close and said, "Have you ever heard the legend? If a couple kisses at the very top of the Ferris wheel, they'll be together for all eternity."

Harrison snorted with laughter. "That's so childish."

Adeline pouted, "What's so childish about it?"

"It just is," Harrison replied, still teasing her.

A little annoved, Adeline turned away.

But just as they reached the very top, she suddenly felt his familiar presence close in.

She turned her head, and before she could say a word, his lips captured hers, not a rough kiss, but one filled with overwhelming love.

Meanwhile, Jamarion was rudely awakened in the middle of the night, and his face looked thunderous.

When he saw his battered men, his expression grew even darker.

"What now?" he barked.

He swept an arm across the table, smashing his coffee cup to pieces on the floor.

The men sobered up instantly, trembling in fear.

One of the other men whispered in Jamarion's ear, explaining what had happened.

Jamarion began to shake with rage.

"You idiots! Out causing trouble in the middle of the night, and you picked Harrison, of all people?"

He sprang up, slamming his cane down hard as he beat them with it.

The men, already hurting from earlier, could only grit their teeth and take the punishment, too scared to even move.

Jamarion was getting old, and lately, dealing with Callan had left him totally exhausted.

After a while, he was left panting, collapsing back onto the couch.

"What else did Harrison's people say?"

The man hesitated, then replied, "They said Harrison wanted us to remind you to keep a tighter leash on your son and your men."

He didn't dare repeat the part about "stay the hell out of my way."

Cold fury burned in Jamarion's eyes as his fists clenched.

Was he willing to take this lying down? Of course not.

To him, Harrison was just a kid, but one who dared to threaten him openly.

But what could he do about it?

Deep down, he knew the truth.

Harrison was not some punk he could mess with.

Jamarion might've been a big shot all his life, but now, he had no choice but to watch his step around Harrison.

Frustrated, but powerless, he barked,

"Get out! All of you, get out!"

The men scrambled out as fast as they could, leaving Jamarion alone in the big living room.

His hands shook as he reached for his coffee, only to realize he didn't even have the strength to lift the cup.

At that moment, footsteps echoed on the stairs.

A moment later, Callan came down. He took one look at Jamarion, sneered, poured a cup of coffee, and shoved it into his hands.

"Look at you now. How pathetic," Callan scoffed.

"Are you really so scared of Harrison? Seriously?"

Jamarion ignored him, staring into his coffee as he took a sip.

Callan's anger flared. "Don't you think you're a joke? Everyone used to call you 'Mr. Jamarion' with respect, but look at you now. You're nothing but a spineless coward."

  1. Callan shouldn't kill him by giving him that coffee
