One night stand with my president(chapter 419)

Chapter 419: They Had Met That Early

"Your father used this trick before," Harrison said calmly.

Eleanor's eyes immediately filled with tears.

She knew it all too well.

Back then, the Thomson family had always supported the Fraser family, but her father, useless as he was, betrayed them, not only ruining the Thomson Group but also causing huge trouble for the Fraser family.

Her father had used that so-called "favor" from the past to blackmail the Thomson family.

He said that if the Thomson family helped the Fraser family now, that "favor" would be forgotten, and the Thomson family would never again have to deal with the Fraser family.

The Thomson family agreed.

Not only did they not hold a grudge against the Fraser family for their betrayal, nor did they count the enormous losses caused to the Thomson Group, but they also helped the Fraser family through that crisis.

The Fraser family immediately declared that from now on, any "favor" owed was repaid, and the debt was settled between the families.

"I know, but..." Eleanor choked. "Can you just let me go this one last time, for what happened back then?"

Harrison looked at her coldly.

He then added, "I actually have some doubts about that matter from back then. Since you've brought it up, I think it's time to investigate thoroughly."

Eleanor's face drained of all color.

She opened her mouth but found it hard to speak.

She thought. "Is the thing I feared most about to happen?”

"What's this all about?" Adeline asked curiously.

She had been hearing them mention "that matter" for a while and was genuinely curious.

She wondered how exactly the Fraser family had saved Harrison.

"When I was a child, I almost got kidnapped," Harrison explained. "Back then, Eleanor's father, Maurice, just happened to pass by and scared off the kidnappers."

In fact, the Thomson family had arrived quickly as well.

Even without Maurice, Harrison most likely wouldn't have been kidnapped.

But anyway, Maurice did help him.

So, for all those years, the Thomson family had really been very kind to the Fraser family.

Unfortunately, Maurice had been a fool.

He squandered that "favor" entirely.

But, as Harrison mentioned, there were doubts about that event.

It happened just when he had run away from home and found himself in a remote area.

How could Maurice have "just happened" to pass by there?

But at that time, he really did scare off those

kidnappers.

Lorenzo had said that suspecting Maurice like that was too ungrateful.

"Harrison, I swear I'll be honest from now on. I'll never show up in front of you again. Now that Lance has been caught, I have no one left to rely on. I can't do anything anymore. Please, just let me go this one last time," Eleanor pleaded.

"Impossible, Eleanor."

Eleanor wanted to say more, but suddenly Adeline furrowed her brow and said, "Wait... this reminds me of  something from my childhood."

"Hmm?" Harrison was confused.

"I must have been about six or seven years old. One time, for some reason I can't remember, I ran away from home," Adeline said. "Then, I ended up in a deserted place. If I'm not mistaken, there's now a coffee shop there."

Harrison's pupils constricted.

He immediately asked, "Maple Coffee?"

"Yes, that's the one," Adeline replied.

Harrison was shocked.

That was the very same place he had run away to when he left home.

No wonder they were so fated.

They had both run away from home and ended up at the same place.

"I saw a group of men talking secretly nearby, and I got scared, so I hid behind a big tree," Adeline continued, her brows furrowing.

"I can't remember the exact details... but I do recall one of the men saying something like, 'l thought about it and decided it won't work. His family is already closing in-what if they show up here? Plus, their influence is growing stronger, and we can't risk working with so-and-so... I'd better go drive those people away and make sure they don't take so-and-so with them.' Something along those lines."

Adeline tried to recall, but after so many years, she could only remember the gist of it.

Harrison listened, and suddenly, something didn't feel right.

"Do you remember what day this was? Can you remember the time?" Harrison quickly asked, "How could I possibly remember? It's been so long." Adeline said, laughing a little helplessly, Eleanor, on the other hand, had turned deathly pale.

She thought, "Could it be that what Adeline heard back then... no, it couldn't be, How could it be such a coincidence?"

"Harrison, please believe me," Eleanor said, her face pale as she tried to stop Adeline from continuing.

Harrison, however, coldly responded, "Rowen, take her out."

"Yes."

"Harrison, no..."

Eleanor didn't want to leave, but Rowen immediately covered her mouth and forcefully dragged her out of the room.

In Rowen's strength, Eleanor's struggles were futile.

The room was left with only Harrison and Adeline.

Harrison gently asked, "Adeline, think carefully. Is there anything else you remember?"

Adeline thought for a moment and then said,

"Yes, I do. Before I saw those men, I passed by an abandoned building and saw a little boy sitting there, staring blankly."

Harrison's heart skipped a beat.

He remembered that on that day, he had sat in front of an abandoned building for quite a while.

He had been upset.

He had run away from home after arguing with Myra.

He had forgotten the exact reason for the argument.

After Adeline finished speaking, she suddenly realized something and asked in disbelief, "The little boy I saw... it couldn't have been you, right?"

They hadn't known each other then and hadn't spoken to each other.

But... their first meeting had happened so long ago?

"I think it's very possible," Harrison said, holding her hand. "Adeline, is there anything else?"

"Actually, yes. After seeing that little boy, I kept walking, and I saw a group of people hurrying toward me. I overheard their conversation, and it seemed like they were looking for a little boy. So I told them I had seen a boy in front of the abandoned building and directed them to go check there."

Harrison's heart raced. "I remember, at that time, my bodyguard said that a little girl had pointed the way, and that's how they found me in front of the abandoned building."

Actually, he had a tracker hidden in his watch.

The bodyguards had used the tracker to find him.

But then, Harrison had noticed the tracker and. in a fit of rage, had torn it off.

So the bodyguards had lost his position.

Now it seemed that the little girl who pointed them in the direction was Adeline.
