One night stand with my president(chapter 443)

Chapter 443: Your Turn This Time

Harrison's intentions couldn't have been more obvious.

Before Adeline could say a word, he reached out and pulled her into his arms.

Then, without warning, he lowered his head and captured her lips, swallowing every protest she was about to make.

Back in Yewhaina, even though they'd been living under the same roof for over a month, the two of them had kept things... restrained.

But now, with no interruptions and no more holding back, Harrison's kiss was fierce.

Adeline could hardly keep up with him.

Yet in the next breath, the fire he ignited within her spread like wildfire.

Neither of them knew when or how they made it to the bed.

Between heated kisses, Harrison buried his face in the curve of her neck, his voice rough from desire. "Why does this feel so familiar?" Adeline's breath hitched as she replied, "How could it not? The last time you got drunk and barged into my apartment, you practically assaulted me just like this."

Harrison blinked. "Did I?"

His hands certainly hadn't paused. With practiced ease, he stripped away the barriers between them, until not even a sliver of fabric remained.

Adeline could feel his heat pressing against her skin, and her words faltered. "Y-yeah... you did..."

He let out a low laugh, lips brushing her ear.

"Then this time," he whispered, "it's your turn to assault me."

But just as they were about to take that final step, both of them suddenly paused.

"Wait..." she said.

"Hm?" Harrison murmured, reaching over to the nightstand and pulling open the drawer.

Adeline's eyes widened as he pulled out a condom.

She had been about to say they didn't have any, only for him to casually produce one.

"When did you..." she began.

"I packed some in my luggage," he said. "Put them in the drawer when I unpacked."

Adeline stared at him, somewhere between exasperated and amused.

Harrison had clearly been planning this all along.

The next morning, Adeline woke up aching all over-her waist, her legs, her everything.

Thinking back to last night, she felt equal parts flustered and furious.

Harrison was relentless. It was like he had an infinite supply of stamina... and zero sense of moderation.

She stretched slightly and turned her head-he was gone.

But the smell of freshly made oatmeal drifted into the bedroom.

He was cooking breakfast.

Adeline lay in bed for a while longer, then finally got up and went to wash up.

The moment she stood in front of the mirror, her eyes went wide.

Her neck, and the tops of her chest-covered in tiny red marks.

She wanted to kill him.

She murmured, "Damn you, Harrison."

When she stepped out of the bedroom, he had just finished setting breakfast on the table.

She marched over, full of righteous fury, ready to give him a piece of her mind-only for him to pull her into his arms and kiss her until her knees went weak.

He finally let her go, smiling softly. "Good morning."

"Morning," she murmured, dazed. Then, remembering her original purpose, she straightened up and pointed accusingly at her neck and chest. "Look what you did! What if someone at the company sees?!"

Harrison chuckled. "So what if they do? We're a legitimate couple."

"That's not the point!" she grumbled, her face full of indignation.

Great. Guess it was a high-neck kind of day.

"Alright, alright, I'm sorry," he said, coaxing.

"I got a little too excited last night and lost control. Why don't you take the day off and rest, hmm?"

Adeline considered it, then shook her head.

"No, I should go in. I haven't been to the office since the new year. It's getting ridiculous."

"You're my girlfriend," he reminded her.

"Exactly. And also your chief secretary. I should be setting an example."

Harrison smiled, ruffling her hair. "You're so responsible. I just wish you'd shown me some of that responsibility the first time you slept with me."

Adeline glared at him.

Now she was the heartless one?

After breakfast, they arrived at the office together.

The moment Adeline stepped into the executive suite, she was practically swarmed.

The staff at the president's office lit up with excitement-especially Anna, who looked like she was about to cry.

"Miss Hensley! Oh my god, it's been months!

You're finally back!" Anna clutched her hand like she never wanted to let go.

"Did something happen? Mr. Thomson's been gone too. We were all starting to worry."

Adeline almost said, "Oh, nothing much. Just spent the holidays abroad, got kidnapped, got shot. The usual."

But she figured that would probably give poor Anna a heart attack.

So she just smiled and said, "Had some family matters to deal with."

Anna didn't press further. She was just happy to see Adeline back.

Things at the president's office had been running smoothly-but without Adeline, it had felt like the heart of the team was missing.

"How have you been?" Adeline asked.

"Fine, mostly," Anna said. "Except for him.

That scumbag's still pestering me. Can you believe the nerve? After everything he pulled, he still shows up like nothing happened. Who gave him the audacity?"

Adeline blinked. "You mean... Manuel?"

"Exactly. He lied to me and used me to get to you and Mr. Hunter. Sure, his aunt put him up to it, but still-I can't stand the sight of him."

And the ridiculous part? Manuel actually wanted to get back together.

But Anna wasn't stupid.

No way she'd give him another chance.

She didn't even like acknowledging he was her ex.

Every time he showed up, she cursed him out-and yet he kept coming.

Every evening, without fail, he waited outside the building for her.

Adeline's expression darkened. Given the current state of the Hunter family, Manuel's persistence was definitely suspicious.

"You'd better be careful," she warned.

"Don't meet him anywhere alone."

"Don't worry," Anna said. "I'm not that naive anymore."

Their conversation was cut short by the ring of Adeline's desk phone.

She pressed the button to answer.

Harrison's cool voice came through. "Miss Hensley, come in for a moment."

Adeline blinked.

It had been a while since she'd heard him sound so formal.

For a second, it almost felt like they'd gone back to the days before either of them had admitted their feelings.

"Miss Hensley?" Anna prompted. "He's waiting."

Snapping out of it, Adeline made her way into Harrison's office.

As soon as she shut the door behind her, he said, "Come here.”

He didn't look up. Sitting at his desk, he was focused on a document, the light glinting off the rim of his glasses.

Adeline stared.

Harrison was practically begging for kisses this morning. Now he's playing the cold, aloof boss.

She walked up to him-and without warning, Harrison reached out, pulled her into his lap, and held her close.
