One night stand with my president (chapter 429)

Chapter 429:  Who Does She Think She Is?

Kira thought, "I have already been forced to come and apologize to her, and now she's still acting high and mighty? She actually said she didn't want to see me? I have answered that woman's phone call to Harrison in secret, but she's already back, right? She has been shot, but she didn't die-so why is she still acting above me?"

"Since she doesn't want to see me, can I leave now?" Kira asked, clearly displeased.

Bruce was startled and immediately scolded,

"Don't speak like that."

But Harrison and the Mendoza family members' faces darkened.

Isaac sneered and said, "Mr. Goodwin, it seems your daughter isn't here to apologize sincerely."

"Oh, she didn't mean that," Bruce said awkwardly, forcing a smile. "She's been so guilty these past few days that she's been in a daze.

She doesn't even know what she's saying right now."

"Kira," Harrison said coldly, "do you even realize what you did wrong?"

The icy, disgusted look in Harrison's eyes made Kira feel a wave of unjustified resentment.

Her eyes started to redden.

Kira thought, "What is this? I have always been thinking about him, caring about him, and even feeling sorry for how exhausted he was searching for that woman. But why couldn't he show me any affection? Is he disgusted with me because of that woman? It must be."

Bruce suddenly shoved Kira hard.

Kira shuddered and then lowered her head, reluctantly muttering, "I know I was wrong."

"Apologize!" Bruce scolded again.

Even though Adeline wasn't here, her family was present.

Harrison had made it clear that Kira had to apologize in front of the Mendoza family members.

That was the bare minimum.

Kira's eyes welled with tears as she muttered, "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have answered Harrison's call."

The faces of the Mendoza family members and Harrison darkened.

Anyone could see that Kira's apology was insincere.

And she hadn't even gotten to the heart of the matter.

What she did wrong wasn't just answering

Harrison's phone call. It was after she knew it was Adeline on the other end and that she was in danger-yet she refused to give the phone to Harrison, even saying hurtful things to Adeline.

She had clearly been holding onto malicious intentions.

But she still didn't think she had done anything wrong.

"Is this all?" Bruce quickly scolded her again, "Apologize with sincerity. Tell them you shouldn't have spoken disrespectfully to Miss Mendoza. Tell them that after answering the call, you should have immediately handed the phone to Harrison."

He was no longer trying to hold back and openly reminded Kira.

Kira, though displeased, reluctantly repeated after him.

She thought once she said this, she could leave.

But Bruce said, "Now come with me to Miss Mendoza's ward."

"What for?" Kira grumbled. "Doesn't she not want to see me?"

"You're going to kneel there and truly repent."

As soon as Bruce finished speaking, Kira froze.

She screamed, "Kneel there? Dad, are you crazy?"

Bruce quickly glanced at Harrison.

This was Harrison's idea.

It wasn't enough to just have her apologize verbally.

She had to pay for what she did.

So Harrison demanded that she kneel outside. Adeline's ward for twelve hours.

If she complied and never bothered

Harrison and Adeline again, they would let the matter go.

Bruce felt pity for his daughter, but he also knew this was necessary.

If not, there would be no way to satisfy the Mendoza family.

Moreover, Harrison valued Adeline deeply-if Kira didn't pay the price, Harrison wouldn't let it slide.

"Shut up!" Bruce warned. "You've made your own mess, and now you have to face the consequences. You're going to kneel outside

Miss Mendoza's ward."

"I won't go," Kira snapped. "Dad, I'm your daughter. Are you really going to let me kneel outside that woman's ward? And that woman, who does she think she is? She should've died..."

Bruce was furious and slapped Kira hard before she could finish her sentence.

"Don't make me lose my patience!" Bruce warned.

Kira clutched her face, tears streaming down.

Gracie had seen enough.

As a parent herself, she sympathized with Bruce.

She knew the pain of having a daughter who acted recklessly. But even so, she hadn't forgotten the harm Kira had caused.

Kira had to be punished. This situation couldn't be swept under the rug.

Just as she was about to speak, Harrison coldly said, "Bruce, if this keeps going on, I'm afraid I won't be able to show you any more respect."

Bruce felt a wave of unease.

But he had no choice.

It was Kira who made the mistake in the first place.

And now, she still dared to speak disrespectfully to Adeline.

Bruce's mind raced. After a moment, he gritted his teeth and said, "You two, come in."

Two bodyguards quickly entered.

"Take her to the hospital entrance and make her kneel there for a full day and night.

Don't let her get up," Bruce said, his voice firm.

This was the only way. He had to punish Kira severely to end this matter and calm the anger of Harrison and the Mendoza family.

Otherwise, it wouldn't just be a matter of having her kneel.

The two bodyguards looked to Harrison for approval.

Seeing that Harrison didn't object, they immediately dragged Kira out.

Kira was truly panicked now.

"Dad, are you really doing this? Why? Why are you doing this to me? I'm your daughter..." Kira screamed in agony.

But Bruce didn't even glance at her as the bodyguards dragged her out of the room.

Kira was now completely terrified.

Originally, she only had to kneel for twelve hours outside Adeline's VIP ward.

The floor wasn't crowded, and there weren't many people coming or going.

No one would see her kneeling there.

But now, she was being forced to kneel at the busy hospital entrance, for a full day and night.

Kira was filled with regret.

But regret was useless now.

She was the one who caused this mess.

If she had sincerely apologized, maybe the Mendoza family would have let it go.

After all, Bruce seemed to be trying his best.

But with Kira's attitude, there was no way out.

The bodyguards dragged Kira to the hospital entrance, forcing her to kneel there.
