One night stand with my president (chapter 418)

Chapter 418: She's Not at Fault

After Eleanor arrived in Daltoria, the first person she saw was Rowen.

Rowen appeared to be very busy, juggling phone calls and text messages, with no time to spare for her.

Eleanor overheard him mention the Tillman family in a conversation.

Finally, when it seemed like he had a bit of free time, Eleanor asked, "Is Harrison really going to confront the Tillman family? All because of Adeline?"

"What does that have to do with you?"

Rowen said absently, still typing. "Right now, you should be more concerned about how you're going to spin your lies in front of Mr. Thomson."

"I'm not lying." Eleanor clenched her fists, her voice shaking. "What I've said is all true."

Rowen pocketed his phone and glanced at her with a trace of mockery in his eyes.

"Is there any truth in what you're saying?"

Rowen thought, "If the Fraser family has

really helped Harrison in the past, why hasn't Eleanor brought this up sooner? Why wait until now?"

But nothing was ever certain.

Since Eleanor had brought it up, it would be better for her to face Harrison directly.

Let her explain everything so they wouldn't have to deal with more problems down the line.

Eleanor fumed, "Rowen, I don't think I've ever wronged you. Why are you siding with Adeline and going against me?"

Rowen raised an eyebrow slightly. "You're thinking too much. I'm not against you because of Miss Hensley. I just can't stand you."

Eleanor was about to ask why, but Rowen had already turned away, too lazy to engage, and got into the car.

She was shoved into a separate car by the bodyguards.

The car drove forward, and Eleanor's heart tightened.

Even when her true colors were exposed to the public and when she was humiliated, she never dared to confront Harrison about it.

She had been too guilty.

She couldn't bring herself to mention it.

But now, she truly had nowhere left to turn.

Lance couldn't be her support anymore.

Did she really have to go to prison with Lance? She wouldn't accept that.

She might as well take a gamble.

The scenery outside the car window blurred past, and Eleanor's thoughts raced.

Soon, the car stopped in front of the hospital.

Eleanor stepped out of the car but suddenly hesitated.

"Could I please take a shower and

change first?" she begged. "I'm in such a mess..."

She was covered in dust, her hair was a mess.

Even now, she didn't want to face Harrison looking like this.

She had once been a star, glamorous, surrounded by fans.

Now, she was in such a pitiful state.

And every time her name showed up online, it was filled with insults.

She couldn't bear to look.

She had once hired trolls to attack Myra online.

What goes around, comes around-now, it was her turn to face the same treatment.

Rowen frowned.

He had intended to refuse immediately, but thinking that Eleanor was probably not going to have a good outcome anyway, he let her have this last wish.

"A shower is out of the question," Rowen said.

"But you can change into some clothes."

He sent a bodyguard to find a clothing store nearby.

A random set of clothes was bought for Eleanor.

She changed alone in the car.

The clothes were just casual wear and were not her size.

Eleanor wasn't happy with it.

But considering her current situation, just having clean clothes to wear was a blessing.

At least she wouldn't look too shabby when facing Harrison.

After changing, Eleanor fixed her hair in the rearview mirror.

As she did, memories of everything that had happened over the years flooded her mind, and she let out a soft, bitter laugh.

It felt like a dream.

She could have been a star, and maybe even married into the Tillman family. Even as the second son's wife, she would have become a noble lady. If only she hadn't gone back to Orianto...

Eleanor thought, "I wasn't the one who was

wrong. It was Harrison and Adeline."

She really regretted hesitating back then. She should have let Lance kill Adeline right away.

She thought again, "I was the one who met

Harrison first. I was the one who liked him first. How could he like someone else? He is a heartless man!"

Just as Eleanor was grinding her teeth, cursing Harrison and Adeline in her mind, she suddenly heard a knock on the car window.

Turning, she saw a bodyguard, likely growing impatient, urging her to hurry up.

Eleanor took a deep breath, opened the door, and got out of the car.

Rowen led her into the hospital.

When they reached Adeline's ward, the door was ajar.

Eleanor saw Harrison feeding Adeline oatmeal.

Adeline seemed to be in a bit of a mood, scrunching her face and refusing to eat.

But Harrison was being patient, coaxing her gently.

"Just a couple more bites," he said softly.

"You need to eat more so your wound heals faster."

With his gentle encouragement, Adeline finally took a few more bites.

Watching this, Eleanor felt a searing pain in her chest, as if her heart had been torn apart.

Rowen stood at the door, watching the scene, silently marveling.

He had once thought Harrison might end up with Adeline.

But he hadn't expected Harrison to become so utterly consumed by love.

It was clear now-Harrison was completely under Adeline's control.

Rowen sighed inwardly, "The mighty Harrison, now so completely wrapped around a woman's finger..."

Hearing Eleanor's cough, Rowen snapped out of his thoughts.

He stepped forward and knocked on the door.

Harrison turned to look at the door, slightly surprised.

"What are you doing here?" he asked.

"Mr. Thomson." Rowen stepped forward.

"I've brought Eleanor here. She has something to say to you."

As soon as Harrison heard Eleanor's name, his face immediately darkened.

"I have nothing to say to her. Take her away, now," Harrison said.

Eleanor clearly heard this from the doorway.

Her eyes dimmed slightly.

Now, Harrison wouldn't even meet her or listen to a word she had to say.

"I thought the same," Rowen said. "But she says the Fraser family once saved you."

Adeline's ears perked up. "The Fraser family saved Harrison?"

She had never heard of this before.

Eleanor took a few steps forward, entering the room. "Harrison..."

"Shut your mouth," Harrison interrupted her coldly. "Don't call me that."

Eleanor flinched, shivering, but mostly from the pain and sadness.

She had no right to even call him Harrison anymore.

"Eleanor, if you're talking about that thing from back then, if I'm not mistaken, I've already repaid that debt," Harrison said.

"I know, but back then, if the Fraser family hadn't saved you, you might have..."

  1. Really what goes around also comes around. And Eleanor never thought it would end this way , she having the same fault then as Kira, Kaylie, due to their families connections with the Thompson's family. But refusing to acknowledge Harrison's love for Adeline, and being blinded by jealousy for not being the one by Harrison's side and look at their ending too bad.
