One night stand with my president(chapter 379)

Chapter 379:  You're More Pitiful Than I Am

Ronan stood off to the side, his eyes red, not saying a word.

His mind was a tangled mess, and he couldn't think straight.

If Milania wasn't his mother, he would have cursed this wicked woman to high heaven.

But, unfortunately, she was his biological mother.

And so, he felt both anger and heartache.

He didn't even want to stay in the Thomson family anymore.

With his mother doing all this, how could he possibly stay here?

Come the holidays, when relatives gather, he would surely be the subject of their mockery over this.

Just thinking about it made his stomach churh.

After Ashton spoke, Harrison fell into a brief silence.

Then he spoke, "Ashton, I understand you're trying to defend your wife, but..."

He lifted his gaze and coldly turned to Milania.

"This woman is not worth your defense."

"I know... she's done a lot of wrong, and I'm sorry for you..."

"I'm not talking about those things," Harrison said. "I think the person she's wronged the most isn't me but you."

"What?" Ashton froze.

Milania panicked and said, "Ashton, don't listen to him. Yes, I've done those wrong things, but I did it all for you and for Ronan. I couldn't possibly have wronged you, Ashton. We've been married for over twenty years..."

Before she could finish, Harrison's phone suddenly rang.

The simple ringtone felt like a death sentence to Milania.

She trembled violently.

The sight only filled Ashton with confusion.

Ashton thought, "What was Harrison implying? Milania looks so nervous... Could it be that she really had something to hide from me?"

Harrison picked up the phone.

The person on the other end said something.

He replied, "Mm, bring him in."

After hanging up, he said, "Collin's here."

"Don't let him in." Milania suddenly yelled.

"That kind of person doesn't deserve to step into the Thomson family! He's nothing but a liar. Nothing he says can be trusted!"

At that moment, a voice filled with hatred rang out.

"Milania, whether my words are credible or not, is not for you to decide."

Milania froze.

Footsteps sounded behind her.

But she didn't dare turn around.

She recognized that voice all too well.

But he had never spoken to her in this way

before.

For over twenty years, his tone had been happy, angry, resentful, gentle, and careful, but never, never like this-full of bitter hatred.

Rowen stepped in with Collin right behind him.

Collin looked like a wreck-his hair was messy, his clothes torn and filthy.

He didn't look at anyone, only fixed his hateful gaze on Milania.

"You're Collin?" Lorenzo asked. "You're the one who set fire to the hotel Harrison was staying at?"

"Yes, it was me," Collin replied, smiling bitterly.

"But I did it all under this woman's orders. I was helping her."

After speaking, his eyes shifted from Milania to Ashton.

Milania was now terrified.

She had never imagined Collin would ever meet Ashton.

Instinctively, she reached out to cover Ashton's eyes and ears, trying to block him from hearing and seeing this... but...

"Oh... so you're Ashton? Milania's husband, huh?" Collin sneered.

Ashton furrowed his brows, his face cold.

"Yes, I am. What about it?"

He was disgusted by the man in front of him.

He figured it was probably because Collin had almost caused his nephew's death.

Collin burst into laughter. "Ashton, you're so pathetic, you're even worse off than I am.

You probably don't even know, do you? I'm your wife's lover."

It felt like a thunderstrike hitting him from above/ Ashton was frozen, unable to move.

His neck stiffened as he slowly turned to look at Milania.

"No. That's not true!" Milania shouted desperately. "Ashton, you have to believe me."

"What do you mean 'not true'?" Collin snapped.

"For over twenty years, she's been keeping an improper relationship with me. Ashton, you've been kept in the dark. I'll ask you this. Didn't she always tell you she was going to Marifort City every now and then? Well, she wasn't visiting friends, she was visiting me."

And it was true.

Milania had indeed told him multiple times she was going to Marifort City to visit old college friends.

After all, she went to college there.

So, Ashton had never suspected anything.

And she always came back within a few days.

Sometimes, Ashton wanted to go with her, but Milania would always come up with excuses not / to let him.

He never pushed it too hard, because he was busy with his own work.

At the end of the day, he trusted Milania too much.

He never imagined she could betray him.

"I didn't." Milania clutched Ashton's arm tightly.

"Ashton, please believe me. He's lying."

Milania was now so panicked that she didn't know what to think. Her eyes darted around until she spotted Harrison, and she pointed at him. "It must be him. Harrison is the one who's behind all this slander. Ashton, I admit that I've made mistakes, but I never betrayed you."

"Didn't you?" Collin's tone was malicious.

"Milania, do you want me to tell everyone about the birthmark on your body? Or maybe... do you want me to show your intimate videos with me? I still have them. Want me to play them for your husband?"

"Enough!" Ronan suddenly roared.

He rushed forward, punching Collin in the face, then climbed on top of him, landing punch after punch.

"I told you to shut up!" Ronan shouted.

Collin covered his face, but still yelled back, "I'm not lying!"

Harrison walked over and pulled Ronan away with force.

"Let me go!" Ronan growled, shoving Harrison aside, his eyes bloodshot. "Why are you doing this? My mom made mistakes, but you... you shouldn't..."

Harrison said nothing. He only watched silently.

He knew Ronan was angry at him.

Angry that he exposed Milania's true face.

But for the sake of the future stability of the Thomson family, for Ashton and Ronan to no longer be deceived and manipulated by Milania, he had no choice.

Before coming down, he had made sure to station people at the door to stop other relatives from barging in.

Collin, despite being beaten, still laughed. "I really regret it. I've been obsessed with her for over twenty years, waiting all that time just to be with her openly... She dangled me along, lied to me, and I took it all. But now, she actually wanted someone to kill me..."
