One night stand with my president( chapter 341)

Chapter 341 I'm Adeline's Fiancé

At first, Harrison didn't pay much attention to it, thinking the man was just some relative or friend of the Mendoza family.

But then, he saw Adeline walking out from the gate.

The man immediately became excited when he saw her, eagerly talking to her about something.

Adeline seemed to find it funny, likely because he cracked a joke or said something amusing.

Harrison's sharp eyes immediately spotted something off about the man.

It was obvious that the guy was trying to win

Adeline's favor.

Harrison's mind instantly flashed back to something Sam had once told him.

"Let me tell you, once Adeline gets to Yewhaina, there'll be a line of handsome guys waiting to catch her attention."

And now, it seemed Sam was right.

Adeline had only just arrived in Yewhaina, and someone was already trying to woo her.

Harrison felt a wave of darkness clouding his vision.

Adeline had just woken up.

Last night, she had spent hours thinking about Harrison, debating whether to send him a message. It kept her awake.

She had only managed to nap for a bit.

But before she could rest properly, the maid woke her up.

The maid told her that Pedro had called, saying he wanted to take her out for breakfast and was already near her door.

Adeline, barely able to keep her eyes open, wanted to refuse.

But then she remembered that Gracie and Pedro's mother were good friends.

It would be rude to turn him down outright.

At least, she should go out and thank him in person.

So, she reluctantly got up, washed up, and put on a warm coat before heading out to meet Pedro.

Pedro, clearly in high spirits, started talking about which local spots had great breakfast and even mentioned that a brand of coffee produced in Orianto was available in Yewhaina. He offered to take her to try it.

The cold wind hit her face when Adeline stepped outside, making her feel wide awake, but she still didn't want to go out with Pedro.

So, she smiled politely and declined.

Pedro looked visibly disappointed.

"Adeline, do you hate me?" he asked, his voice tinged with frustration. Adeline wasn't sure if "hate" was the right word; she just wasn't interested in him.

She might have had a falling out with Harrison, but other than him, she wasn't planning on being with anyone else, so of course, she didn't want to get too close to Pedro.

"I don't hate you. Don't overthink it," Adeline

said. "I just didn't sleep well last night, and I was hoping to go back and rest a little..."

But before she could finish, she caught sight of a tall figure walking toward them.

Without thinking, she turned to look and froze.

She stood there, stunned, even after the figure had reached her.

She still hadn't processed what was happening, staring blankly at him.

Harrison looked at her, a soft smile tugging at the corner of his lips.

"Stunned?"

Adeline, indeed, was stunned.

She never expected Harrison to appear in front of her like this.

Adeline thought, "How did he get here? Why is he in Yewhaina? Shouldn't he have stayed at the Thomson mansion since Christmas is approaching?"

But truth be told, the moment she saw him, it felt like everything around her suddenly brightened up.

"Adeline, who is this?" Pedro asked warily.

Harrison's appearance and aura were too much to ignore. He looked better than many of the famous actors Pedro had seen on TV.

A sense of unease rose in Pedro.

And Adeline's reaction when she saw this man wasn't lost on him either.

Even though she was still staring at Harrison blankly, Pedro could tell that Adeline's feelings for this man were anything but ordinary.

Pedro's question snapped Adeline out of her trance.

But she was so shocked and excited that she couldn't find her voice.

Harrison reached out and ruffled her hair.

Then he turned to face Pedro.

Pedro spoke in the local Yewhaina language, but Harrison, like Adeline, was fluent in Yewhaina language, so communication wasn't a problem.

"And who are you?" Harrison asked coolly.

"I'm Pedro," the young man puffed his chest out, trying to look confident.

Unfortunately for Pedro, Harrison was about half a head taller than him.

No matter how Pedro tried to stand tall, his stature and presence didn't match up.

Feeling somewhat frustrated, he didn't care anymore and added, "I'm Adeline's fiancé."

Harrison's eyes immediately darkened.

Harrison thought, "Fiancé? She has just returned to Yewhaina, and she already has a fiancé?"

"No," Adeline quickly protested.

Gracie had said the childhood betrothal was just a joke, so the 'fiancé' was nonsense.

When he heard Adeline's denial, Harrison's expression softened noticeably, and a sense of relief washed over him.

He felt an overwhelming urge to whisk Adeline away to a quiet, private place where it was just the two of them.

But, since they were already at the Mendoza family, he thought it would be impolite not to greet her parents.

"Adeline, don't you want to invite me inside?"

Harrison asked.

Adeline shot him a sidelong glance.

She was still a bit upset.

If they had been alone right now, she'd have ignored him.

But since Pedro was still there, she couldn't brush Harrison off.

"Come on in," she said, turning toward the Mendoza family.

Harrison followed closely behind.

"You guys..." Pedro began, feeling panicked.

He had thought that with Adeline just arriving in Yewhaina, he would be the first to

approach her. He had assumed that even if other suitors came along, he'd have the advantage of being the first to make his move.

Pedro thought, "But who the hell is this guy? Is he Adeline's boyfriend?"

Seeing how quickly Adeline had denied his claim, Pedro could probably guess the answer.

Pedro, feeling increasingly frustrated, followed closely behind them.

As they entered the house, Adeline could clearly feel Harrison's presence right behind her.

The heaviness she had felt for the past few days seemed to lift with each step she took.

Her mood lightened, and her steps became lighter.

Although she was still a little angry, the fact that Harrison had come all the way to Yewhaina to find her made her heart swell with happiness and gratitude.

As for the news about Harrison and the model in the hotel, to be honest, she had never believed it.

She had known Harrison for over five years.

She knew what kind of person he was.

Her guess was that Harrison had purposely spread that gossip to make her angry, to provoke her, which, of course, made her mad.

But then, after a nap on the plane, she reconsidered.

Maybe it was just a misunderstanding.

So, she had been waiting for him to explain.

She had waited and waited, but he didn't call or message her.

Instead, she had waited for him to show up in person.

Pedro had been trying to edge closer to Adeline the whole time.

But Harrison, like a guardian shadow, blocked every chance he had to get near her.

Pedro would move to the left, and Harrison would follow. He'd move to the right, and

Harrison mirrored him.

There wasn't a single moment when Pedro could get close to Adeline.

Pedro was fuming.

If they hadn't been at the Mendoza family, he would have charged at Harrison by now.
