One night stand with my president(chapter 280)

Chapter 280: Teach Him a Lesson

Hearing his words, Adeline was momentarily stunned.

"Mr. Thomson told you that?"

"Of course," Conrad replied, licking his lips lecherously. "So, Miss Hensley, stop resisting and just come to me. I promise I'll be gentle..."

Harrison walked towards room 308.

As he turned a corner, he suddenly noticed the footsteps behind him had stopped.

He turned around and found that the waiter who had been following him was nowhere to be seen.

Harrison's eyes darkened instantly, and he quickly strode back.

When he reached the door of the private room he had just left, he saw Conrad's secretary standing guard.

Seeing Harrison return, the secretary looked visibly panicked.

"M... Mr. Thomson, you're..."

The secretary tried to block him.

But Harrison kicked him aside without mercy.

Then, with a loud bang, he kicked open the door to the room.

He entered, brimming with fury, but he was momentarily stunned by the scene before him.

Conrad lay twitching on the floor.

Meanwhile, Adeline was calmly sitting nearby, sipping coffee.

Seeing Harrison enter, she smiled slightly and said, "You're back."

"What happened?" Harrison asked, walking over to her.

At that moment, Conrad's secretary struggled to enter, and upon seeing Conrad on the floor, he cried out, "Mr. Stein!"

"As soon as you left, this pervert tried to assault me," Adeline said. "So, I had to 'greet' him with my personal defense device."

Ever since the incident with Benjamin, Adeline had felt uneasy.

Now, no matter where she went, she carried a high-powered personal defense tool with her.

Conrad, drunk and blinded by lust, had let his guard down.

So she had tasered him.

"Looks like this personal defense tool works pretty well," Adeline remarked.

"It's my fault," Harrison said with a grim expression.

"It's not your fault," Adeline replied. "I've attended countless dinners with you, and nothing like this has ever happened. Plus, Conrad behaved properly the whole time. We wouldn't know he would act like this. Oh, he even claimed you put him up to it."

But Adeline didn't believe that for a second.

Harrison wasn't the type to push someone into something against their will, whether it was a regular subordinate or someone he cared about.

He let out a cold laugh.

Even Adeline's heart skipped a beat at his laugh.

It was terrifying.

Just then, Conrad's secretary helped him up.

Conrad, slightly recovered, stammered, "Mr.

Thomson, Miss Hensley, what... what's the meaning of this?"

Adeline laughed in disbelief.

"Mr. Stein, we were discussing business perfectly well, and you tried to assault me.

Now you're asking us what's going on?"

Conrad hesitated and said, "You... but I distinctly heard two waiters say..."

As he spoke, he suddenly realized something.

Perhaps due to the shock of being tasered, he had sobered up significantly.

He suddenly understood.

He had been duped!

"Mr. Thomson, Miss Hensley, I was wrong!" Conrad apologized. "It was foolish of me.

I was blinded by lust. I'll never do it again!"

"Conrad, you truly are an idiot," Harrison said coldly.

"Mr. Thomson, please spare me!" Conrad trembled as he begged. "I was misled. I thought...I…I”

He stammered, unable to provide a coherent explanation.

Harrison was losing patience.

"If you can't make it clear, I can arrange for someone to help you."

As soon as he finished speaking, Rowen entered the room with a few others. "Mr. Thomson."

Each of them glared menacingly at Conrad.

Conrad felt like crying.

He cursed those two waiters inwardly.

If it hadn't been for their misleading words, he wouldn't have dared to make a move on anyone close to Harrison.

"I... I overheard two waiters talking..."

Conrad recounted everything he had overheard.

When he finished, Harrison didn't say a word.

But Adeline could clearly sense the intense anger radiating from him.

She gently tugged on Harrison's hand and

whispered, "It's alright. Calm down."

She had to soothe him quickly. Otherwise, she feared he might tear the restaurant apart.

Hearing Adeline's voice, Harrison managed to calm down slightly.

He took a deep breath.

Conrad was indeed detestable.

But if what he said was true, they needed to get to the bottom of what those two "waiters" were up to.

It was normal for waitstaff to gossip, but their conversation had been far too strange.

It was clearly a setup to mislead Conrad.

Moreover, they had the audacity to talk about Adeline in such a manner...

Harrison turned to Rowen with a cold expression and said, "Check the surveillance footage. If there's nothing on camera, bring every waiter here."

"Understood."

Rowen was always highly efficient.

He reviewed the surveillance footage and found that there were no cameras near the restroom Conrad had used.

So, he quickly gathered all the waitstaff in the restaurant.

The restaurant managers, terrified, also came over, and even the owner arrived in a rush.

The private room was large, but it couldn't accommodate so many people, so some of the waiters had to stand outside.

"Mr. Thomson, is something wrong?" the restaurant owner asked, wiping sweat from his brow nervously.

"Your waitstaff here have been slandering Miss Hensley and me behind our backs," Harrison said icily. "How do you think this matter should be handled?"

The owner felt a chill run from his head to his toes.

To be honest, this restaurant was only

established thanks to an investment from Harrison.

Now this absurd thing was happening. It was the end for the owner.

"Who was it?" he yelled at the waitstaff.

"Who did this? Do you have a death wish?"

Harrison glanced at Conrad.

Understanding his meaning, Conrad stepped forward and scanned the group of waiters.

Then, awkwardly, he said, "Mr. Thomson, I only heard their voices and didn't see their faces..."

"Then, have each of them speak a few words for you to identify," Harrison said. "And first, bring forward the person hiding in the corner."
