One night stand with my president(chapter 304)

Chapter 304: People of Value

Eleanor slapped Halle again and said, "Do what I say. Who gave you the right to talk back to me?"

After delivering two slaps, Eleanor still wasn't satisfied. She grabbed Halle's hair and violently shook her head back and forth.

Halle screamed in pain. "Miss Fraser, I was wrong. i won't dare do it again. Please, just let me go!"

"You're all bitches. Every single one of you."

Eleanor kicked Halle away and slumped onto the sofa in defeat.

"Why? Why did I fail?" Eleanor sobbed, talking to herself. "I was so close to becoming Harrison's woman."

Halle stood silently to the side, afraid to utter a word.

She kept her head down, her long hair covering both her swollen face and the faint smile on her lips.

Eleanor didn't notice that a tiny object had been aimed at her this entire time.

……

At the hospital, after finishing her call with Harrison, Adeline turned to Benjamin and said,"Sorry to disappoint you, but Harrison's fine. Nothing happened to him."

Benjamin smiled faintly. "So I took that slap for nothing?"

Adeline glanced at his face and said flatly, "Well, I wouldn't say it was for nothing."

After all, he had schemed to trick her into coming to him, constantly treating her like a substitute. A single slap was letting him off easy.

Benjamin let out a faint sigh and asked, "Do you really hate me that much?"

He looked at Adeline, sorrow filling his eyes.

Whitney had never hated him. Whitney was always so happy whenever she saw him.

He still remembered asking Whitney, "Why do you always smile when you look at me?"

Whitney replied, "Because I like you. I'm happy every time I see you and am with you. So, of course, I smile."

But Adeline had never smiled at him.

But she had sneered at him.

How he longed to see Whitney's smiling face again.

"Yes, I hate you," Adeline answered without hesitation. "And let me say this one last time. I'm not Whitney. Don't you dare treat me as her replacement. If you insist on seeing me that way, you'll only end up hurting yourself more because I will never like you, let alone be with you."

With that, Adeline turned and went back to her room.

Georgia kept a close eye on Benjamin, ready to stop him if he dared follow Adeline.

But he only stood there, watched Adeline's retreating figure, and didn't move to follow her.

After a while, he picked up his phone and dialed Eleanor's number.

It took a long time for Eleanor to answer.

"What happened?" Eleanor asked.

Despite her internal collapse, Eleanor didn't dare vent her frustration on Benjamin.

When he heard what had happened, Benjamin's expression darkened, and he remained silent.

"Mr. Tillman, this isn't my fault," Eleanor sobbed.

"But now Harrison's trying to retaliate. He wants to terminate my contract with the Thomson Group. Could you please help me?"

Benjamin felt irritated because he realized

Harrison had no feelings for Eleanor whatsoever.

Not only did Harrison have no feelings for Eleanor, but he actively despised her.

Benjamin had thought that after all these years, Eleanor would hold some kind of place in Harrison's heart.

But it turned out she didn't mean anything to him at all.

In that case, Eleanor was of no use to Benjamin.

People who were useless to him didn't deserve his time or effort.

When Eleanor didn't hear a response, panic set in.

"Mr. Tillman, you can't abandon me! You were the one who said you could help me win Harrison over. Now that l've failed, you can't just kick me aside!"

She had already offended Harrison.

Lance had been forcibly sent back to their home country by Benjamin.

If Benjamin didn't help her now, Eleanor didn't know what she was supposed to do.

"Eleanor, you should understand by now. I only need valuable people around me," Benjamin said coldly.

To Eleanor, those words were like a bolt from the blue.

He meant she was no longer valuable.

She wanted to say more, but Benjamin had already hung up on her.

After ending the call, Benjamin turned to Georgia, who was still glaring at him vigilantly.

He sneered coldly.

"You don't need to watch me that closely, do you?" His tone was laced with mockery and self-derision. "What, do you think I'm going to hurt her?"

Georgia refused to speak to him and remained silent.

Benjamin's gaze fell on the hospital room door again.

But he didn't go back inside. After staring at the door for a moment, he turned and left.

Harrison had his people give Benjamin's men a proper beating before sending them back to him.

At the hotel, Benjamin looked at his dejected, bruised, and battered men standing before him, his face stern and dark.

His subordinates all knew Benjamin's temper.

He had never shown mercy to those who failed him.

So now, none of them dared breathe a word.

So now, none of them dared breathe a word.

"I gave you one simple task, and you still couldn't get it done," Benjamin said. "Tell me why I should keep a bunch of useless fools like you."

No one dared to respond.

"Speak!" Benjamin ordered.

His voice was calm, but his men knew that was when he was angriest.

One of the braver subordinates, who was usually able to talk in front of Benjamin, stepped forward nervously. "Mr. Tillman, we weren't careful enough. We didn't realize Harrison had set us up."

"Then teli me-what can you realize?"

At that, even the man who had spoken earlier clammed up and lowered his head in silence.

At this moment, they were all terrified.

Benjamin might not be as outwardly volatile as Lance, but when he struck, he was far more ruthless.

This time, he might very well kill them.

Benjamin's cold, predatory gaze swept over each of them.

Just as he was about to speak again, his phone rang suddenly.

He pulled it out and, upon seeing the caller ID, answered immediately. "Father."

On the other end was his father-the current head of the Tillman family.

But for the past two years, he had gradually handed most of his authority to Benjamin.

In his eyes, Benjamin was a more than capable successor.

As his father spoke, a look of surprise flickered across Benjamin's face.

"How could this happen?" Benjamin asked.
