One night stand with my president(chapter 319)

Chapter 319: Glad You’re Still Here

Hearing the voice, Eleanor instinctively shuddered.

She turned her head and saw a man in a white shirt and tailored trousers sitting on the nearby sofa, a glass of red wine in his hand.

He swirled the wine lazily, his eyes filled with mockery as he looked at Eleanor.

But to Eleanor, it was as if she had seen her savior. She nearly rolled off the bed, scrambling to get to him as fast as she could.

Overwhelmed by her earlier trauma and still weak from just waking up, her legs gave out, and she collapsed to her knees at the man's feet.

Eleanor didn't care about her dignity anymore.

She even rested her head on his knee, trembling as she said, "Lance, Lance... you're still here. Thank goodness..."

At least Lance was still by her side.

He was, after all, the second child of the Tillman family.

She still had Lance to rely on.

Chapter 319 Glad You're Still Here

Lance reached out, gently patting her head, and sighed.

"Look at you," he said. "How did you end up like this without me? You should never have left Mugroaton. You should never have left me."

"I was wrong," Eleanor choked out. "Lance, help me. I've lost everything. You're all I have left. Please, you have to help me."

Lance chuckled softly.

Then, with a slight flick of his wrist, he poured the entire glass of red wine over Eleanor's head.

Eleanor closed her eyes, and to Lance's surprise, her face showed an almost blissful expression.

"You should see how pathetic you look right now," Lance remarked.

"As long as you're here, l'll never be pathetic."

Suddenly, Lance grabbed her arm and, with a sharp tug, pulled her up to sit on his lap.

Eleanor gasped softly, greedily absorbing the warmth of his body.

"Tell me, what do you want me to do?" Lance asked, his voice low and coaxing.

Eleanor wrapped her arms around his neck without saying a word, lowering her head to press her lips against his in a deep kiss.

The scent of red wine lingered between them.

When the kiss ended, Eleanor leaned close to his ear and whispered venomously, "I want Harrison and Adeline dead."

Lance laughed. "My little viper, even now, you're still fixated on such unrealistic fantasies?"

"I believe you'll make it happen," Eleanor said, her hands moving to unbutton his shirt.

"Lance, if you help me kill them, I'll stay by your side forever. I'll never leave you..."

Lance's Adam's apple bobbed slightly, and as she undid the last button of his shirt, he finally lost control, pushing Eleanor down beneath him.

Meanwhile, in the deep night of Mugroaton.

At the Tillman family, most of the rooms were

dark, except for the light still burning in Benjamin's study.

After finishing a few documents, Benjamin rubbed his temples and stood up, heading to the bookshelf. He pulled out a photo album.

Opening it, he found it filled with pictures of him and Whitney together.

As he looked at the photos, a satisfied smile spread across his face.

A knock came at the door.

"Come in," he said, returning the album to the shelf.

One of his subordinates entered the room.

Benjamin walked back to his desk, opened another file, and asked, "What is it?"

"Lance has taken Eleanor back to his private villa," the subordinate reported.

Benjamin paused, his hand frozen on the document.

"That useless fool," Benjamin said coldly.

"Still entangled with someone like Eleanor? Hasn't he had enough?"

"Should we deal with her?" the subordinate asked.

Benjamin didn't respond immediately. After a moment of silence, he said, "Forget it. That woman still holds some significance to Lance. If we move against her, it might drive him mad. Let's leave it for now."

"Understood."

As the subordinate turned to leave, Benjamin added, "Keep a close watch on Lance and his people. Eleanor will definitely try to use him again. I don't care about most things, but make sure they don't harm Whitney, not even a little."

The subordinate understood that "Whitney" was Benjamin's way of referring to Adeline.

"Yes, I understand."

After the subordinate left, Benjamin lost interest in the documents before him.

He walked to the window, gazing up at the moon. In his mind's eye, he saw the smiling face of the woman he loved.

"Whitney," he murmured. "Once I finish handling things here, we'll be together again. Wait for me."

Christmas was fast approaching, and today was the last working day before the Thomson Group's holiday break.

As Adeline stepped into the executive office, she immediately noticed the cheerful atmosphere.

Everyone seemed to be in high spirits.

And why wouldn't they be? Their year-end bonuses had been distributed-generous ones at that-and tomorrow marked the start of their holiday break.

"Miss Hensley," Anna called out enthusiastically as she approached, "Would you like to join me for dinner tonight? My treat."

Adeline smiled. "Why the sudden invitation?"

Anna laughed shyly. "Well, it's not exactly me treating you. It's my boyfriend. I've been telling him about work, and he knows you've always been so kind to me. So, he wanted to invite you to dinner. And, well... I feel like I owe you a celebratory dinner for finally being in a relationship!"

Adeline, having no plans for the evening, agreed.

"Congratulations on your relationship, Anna. You definitely deserve to celebrate."

With tomorrow being the holiday, there wasn't much work left. Everyone finished their tasks and eagerly counted down to the end of the day.

That afternoon, Harrison excused himself early to visit Sam, who was being discharged from the hospital.

Two hours before the official end of the workday, Harrison dismissed the office early.

Delighted, everyone packed up their things, thanking Harrison and Adeline before leaving.

"Would you like to come with me to the hospital?" Harrison asked Adeline.

"I'll pass. Please send my regards to Sam," Adeline replied. "Anna and her boyfriend are taking me out for dinner tonight."

Harrison glanced briefly at Anna.

Anna quickly flashed a nervous, ingratiating smile.

Internally, she panicked, wondering if Harrison was upset about her "stealing" Miss Hensley for the evening.

But Harrison didn't say much. He simply told Adeline, "Call me after dinner. I'll come pick you up."

"Okay, I will."

After Harrison left, Anna let out a sigh of relief.

As she packed her things, she joked to Adeline, "Even though I've been in the executive office for years, I still get so nervous around Mr. Thomson. Miss Hensley, I really admire you."

She couldn't help but wonder, "Did Adeline ever feel nervous around Harrison?"
