One night stand with my president(chapter 303)

Chapter 303 Don't Bother with Him

"Benjamin came to the hospital to bother you?" Harrison's voice turned icy.

"It wasn't too bad. He came under the pretense of visiting my brother. In broad daylight, he wouldn't dare harass me."

Adeline spoke as though Benjamin weren't standing right in front of her.

Her words showed zero mercy.

Benjamin was visibly annoyed, but there was nothing he could do.

Harrison figured Adeline was in no real danger with the Mendoza family and Georgia around. Benjamin wouldn't dare try anything.

"Alright, ignore him. I'm fine here, so don't worry," Adeline said.

"Good to hear you're fine," Harrison replied. "As for Benjamin, just ignore him. He's nothing but trouble."

Her words made Adeline chuckle, and she said; "Of course I know he's trouble. I'm not a kid; I know how to hold a grudge."

Benjamin was speechless and thought, "Is she still throwing shade at him?"

Though he kept a straight face, he was seething inside, resisting the urge to grab Adeline's phone and tear into Harrison.

He cursed Eleanor's incompetence for getting them into this mess.

Ironically, Eleanor was also blaming Benjamin for the failure.

She'd trusted him to handle everything.

But in the end, he failed.

All his bluster about being untouchable, and yet he couldn't outwit Harrison.

And what made it worse for Eleanor was

Harrison's gentle tone when he spoke to Adeline over the phone.

Eleanor thought, "How could he be so tender with her? He's always been distant and cold toward me, but with Adeline, he is warm and indulgent..."

That tone was something Eleanor had longed for.

But now, all of it was for Adeline.

Eleanor couldn't possibly accept that.

When Harrison hung up, Eleanor whispered,

"Harrison, today's events are my fault. I'm truly sorry.

Harrison glanced at his phone, ignoring her.

Seeing his lack of response, Eleanor bit her lip and started to leave.

She'd only taken a few steps when Harrison suddenly said, "Come to the Thomson Group tomorrow to sign the termination contract."

"What did you say?" Eleanor turned around in horror. "Termination? What termination?"

Without sparing her a glance, Harrison said coldly, "You're not fit to be the spokesperson for our products!"

"Harrison, no! You can't terminate my contract!"

She tried to rush to his side, but his men blocked her.

"Harrison, please! I promise I'll never make this mistake again. Don't terminate the contract, please!" Eleanor's eyes filled with tears as she pleaded.

Being the Thomson Group's spokesperson brought her countless benefits.

Many opportunities came her way solely because of her association with the company.

Although she had some international fame, she'd spent most of her career in Mugroaton, so in the domestic market, she still had limited opportunities.

The entertainment industry wasn't easy to navigate, and Eleanor wasn't irreplaceable.

If she lost her support from the Thomson Group, her path would become even more challenging.

While Harrison was initiating the termination, she didn't dare ask for compensation after what she'd done today.

Even if she did receive compensation, it wouldn't matter. For both the Thomson Group and herself, this wasn't about money.

Harrison was ruthless. He knew full well that her career was her biggest concern.

But no matter how much she pleaded, Harrison remained unmoved.

"Harrison, I was wrong," she begged. "But please, for the sake of my feelings for you, forgive me this once. I'll never interfere with you and Miss Hensley again."

"Eleanor," Harrison finally said, "what made you think you could do all this and still walk away unscathed?"

He'd wanted to end her contract after the restaurant incident.

But recent events had kept him busy.

And since Adeline had her own plans, he had to time it right with her.

Now was the perfect time.

Tears streamed down Eleanor's face.

She felt nothing but hatred. She hated Benjamin, Harrison, and Adeline. She hated every one of them.

She'd returned to the country for Harrison.

since ner return, ner me nau spit dieu into this mess.

Resentment filled her heart. Eleanor knew that pleading with Harrison was pointless, so she lashed out, "If that's the case, then why aren't you going after Benjamin? He's the one behind all this!"

If she couldn't have peace, she wasn't about to let anyone else have it either.

Harrison already intended to deal with Benjamin.

From the day Benjamin lured Adeline away, he'd been working on a plan to take down the Tillman family.

But he had no obligation to explain that to Eleanor.

And firing Eleanor from the Thomson Group was only the beginning.

She'd tried to frame Adeline multiple times.

Every one of those incidents was going to be addressed.

A storm was about to hit bleanor's lite.

Not wanting to hear her voice anymore, Harrison had his men escort her out.

He'd sensed something was amiss upon arriving at the manor.

His men had already identified people lurking suspiciously near his private spa, setting traps and trying to remove anyone around him.

Two men had been caught but refused to reveal the mastermind.

So he'd decided to play along, making them think he'd fallen for the trap by positioning a decoy with a similar build in the spa to see who'd show up.

And Eleanor had walked right in.

Upon seeing Eleanor, Harrison already knew Benjamin was likely the one behind it all.

Eleanor was too easily spooked. With just a little prodding, she'd admitted everything.

It was laughable that Benjamin thought he could outwit Harrison on Harrison's turf.

…….

Eleanor stumbled back to her room in a daze.

Fortunately, the manor was still in its trial opening phase, so there weren't many people around, and she was staying in a high-end area where few witnessed her disgrace.

As she entered, Halle rushed to her side.

"Miss Fraser, what happened? Are you alright?"

Eleanor looked up at Halle, her expression turning vicious as she slapped Halle across the face.

Halle was used to Eleanor's unpredictable slaps.

She simply held her face in silence.

"You wretch! Did you tip them off? How else would our plan have failed?" Eleanor shrieked hysterically.

Halle was momentarily stunned before replying in hurt tones, "Miss Fraser, I didn't even know what we were doing here today. What would I have tipped off? And you still have my phone! There isn't any other means of communication in the room. I couldn't contact anyone even if I wanted to!"

Halle was right.

But Eleanor needed someone to take her anger out on.
