One night stand with my president(chapter 207)

Chapter 207: Eleanor's Plan

"What you've heard is nothing. I've heard that this woman had a complicated relationship with Harrison."

"Harrison, the CEO of the Thomson Group?"

"Exactly!”

"Now that you mention it, I'm getting chills.

Could this woman's death be connected to the Thomson family?"

"I heard that when Amber bumped into Myra at the Thomson Group, Myra got so angry that she took action against her."

"What does this have to do with Harrison's mom?"

"You don't know? It has everything to do with Myra. Some say that the last person Amber met before she died was Myra."

"I heard they had a meal together, and Myra

poisoned the food."

"You're all wrong. Harrison liked that woman, but Myra despised her lowly background, so she had the lady taken care of."

"So ruthless? That's a human life. Can the rich really do whatever they want?"

"If that's true. I'll never buy anything from the Thomson Group again."

"Right. This is too much!"

Online, there were all kinds of rumors, and everyone seemed to have an opinion.

It appeared that many people had been swayed by these rumors, firmly believing that Myra was responsible for Amber's death.

Myra just glanced at the comments and saw various insults and curses directed at her.

In reality, Myra wasn't emotionally fragile.

But at that moment, she was starting to break down.

She had never been treated like this her entire life.

Moreover, she wasn't the killer.

She thought, "How could people say such things about me without any evidence?"

Meanwhile, Eleanor was also watching the various rumors online and the curses and insults being hurled at Myra by netizens.

She gently swirled the wine in her glass, a faint smile playing on her lips.

In fact, many of those overly aggressive comments were made by online trolls she had hired.

While there were many rumors, a lot of netizens were rational, understanding that there was no evidence proving Myra was responsible for Amber's death.

They might discuss the matter, but they wouldn't say such vicious things.

But with some irrational people and the trolls Eleanor had hired, it created the current situation.

Seeing how things were going, Eleanor felt quite pleased.

First, she didn't want anyone focusing on her, so she needed someone else to draw all the attention. Since Myra was the last person Amber saw before she died, Myra was the perfect person to divert attention.

Second, she had always held a grudge against Myra. She knew Myra looked down on her and didn't want her to be with Harrison. So, this was her revenge on Myra.

Third, only when Myra was cursed to the point of breaking down could Eleanor proceed with her next plan.

"What are you looking at?" Lance's voice suddenly sounded behind her.

Before Eleanor could react, Lance had already wrapped his arms around her from behind.

After glancing at her phone screen, he clicked his tongue and said impatiently, "The woman's already dead. Why are you still looking at things related to her? Doesn't it feel unlucky?"

Lance didn't know Harrison's mother's name, so he didn't notice "Myra," only seeing Amber's name. He thought Eleanor was just following up on Amber's situation.

Eleanor quickly locked her phone, set it down, and smiled, "I'm just admiring your handiwork."

Lance said dismissively, "This kind of small fry isn't even enough to get my attention."

"Are you sure you didn't leave any loose ends?"

Eleanor asked, "There's no way this will be traced back to us, right?"

"Relax." Lance smiled confidently. "Even though my power here isn't as strong as it is in Mugroaton, I wouldn't mess up something as small as this."

Hearing him say this, Eleanor felt reassured.

Indeed, Lance, the psycho, was always excellent at this kind of thing.

"Baby, l've taken care of this woman for you.

Shouldn't you thank me?" Lance's voice grew more suggestive. "Tonight, I can do whatever I want, right?"

Eleanor was in a great mood now.

So, she didn't feel as repulsed by Lance as usual.

She turned to face Lance, lightly tracing circles on his chest with her finger.

"Of course, tonight, whatever you want,

I'll give it to you..."

Lance grinned wickedly and scooped Eleanor up in his arms, heading towards the bathroom.

"Then, let's start in the bathroom..."

Myra barely slept all night.

She finally dozed off at dawn, only to be jolted awake by a nightmare.

In her dream, she was surrounded by people who angrily called her a murderer.

No matter how she tried to explain, no one believed her.

After waking up, Myra made herself some tea.

But her heart kept pounding.

She had no appetite for breakfast, nor did she dare to play with her phone or watch TV, afraid of seeing news related to herself.

She ended up picking up a magazine to read.

Just then, a servant came in and said, "Madam, Ms. Fraser is here."

"Ms. Fraser? Who?" Myra frowned.

"Ms. Eleanor Fraser,' the servant said.

"Oh, it's her." Myra put down the magazine and rubbed her temples.

She was so preoccupied that she hadn't even remembered who Ms. Fraser was at first.

Soon, Eleanor came in, carrying a lot of tonic foods.

"Mrs. Thomson, I heard about what happened... Are you alright?"

Eleanor handed the tonics to the servant and then sat down beside Myra.

Myra sighed, "What a disaster that came out of nowhere.”

After a pause, she added, "But for Amber, it was an even bigger disaster. I don't know who had to take her life and why."

Eleanor had some acting skills, as her eyes instantly reddened.

"Yes, I heard Ms. Lawson died a terrible death... Alas. Although I wasn't close to her, knowing that her life ended so suddenly really makes me feel sad."

Myra didn't respond, so Eleanor continued, "And seeing that you got dragged into this mess makes me feel even worse. The people online are so irresponsible with their words. How could they think that you..."

At this point, Eleanor abruptly cut herself off, looking guilty as she said, "Sorry, Mrs. Thomson, I shouldn't have brought this up in front of you."

"Whether you say it or not, it won't change anything," Myra said with a bitter smile.

"Mrs. Thomson, you know that I've always respected you. Seeing you go through something like this really makes me feel terrible..."

After a pause, Eleanor added, "Actually, I have an idea that could take the attention off of you."
