One night stand with my president(chapter 198)

 Chapter 198: I’m Leaving

Sam indeed seemed to be fine, and Harrison's mind was at ease.

"Alright, if anything happens, call me," Harrison said.

"Don’t worry," Regina said.

Harrison and Adeline left Sam's ward.

"I've already arranged for an empty room over there." Harrison pointed to a room. "You should go rest."

"What about you?" Adeline asked.

Harrison said seriously, "I can go to another empty room or squeeze into the same room with you."

Seeing Adeline about to glare at him, Harrison quickly added, "Your room has two separate beds, so don't think too much about it."

Adeline nearly laughed in frustration.

What did he mean by her thinking too much? He didn't make himself clear just now.

She angrily stepped on Harrison's foot.

Even though she wasn't wearing high heels, Harrison still winced in pain from the step.

"You're heartless," Harrison said helplessly.

"It can be even harsher," Adeline said sternly.

"Alright, I'm sorry," Harrison said with a tone full of indulgence. "Can you forgive me?"

Adeline fought back a smile and said, "Well then, I generously forgive you this time."

Harrison reached out to ruffle her hair, messing it up.

"Go rest now," he said. "Call me if you need anything."

"Okay."

Adeline entered the room and saw that there were indeed two separate beds.

For some reason, she felt her cheeks flush slightly.

She quickly shook her head and went into the bathroom.

This floor had VIP rooms, each with its own bathroom, stocked with toiletries.

After washing up, Adeline sent a message to have her and Harrison's change of clothes delivered in the morning.

Then, she lay down on one of the beds.

Actually, she was already quite tired.

But after lying down, she couldn't fall asleep immediately.

A lot had happened these days.

Harrison was attacked in Marifort City.

Ronan was injured in Marifort City. She and Harrison had a falling out and then reconciled, and now Sam was injured again...

Adeline's mind was in turmoil.

If possible, she wished everyone around her could be well.

She hadn't told Harrison about the situation between Eleanor and Amber.

Adeline got up, put on her shoes, and opened the door, looking outside.

Harrison was still standing in the corridor, holding his phone, seemingly sending a message.

Hearing the door open, he immediately looked over.

"What's up?"

"I have something to tell you."

"Alright."

Harrison quickly finished sending the message and walked over.

Adeline slightly moved aside to let him in.

After closing the door, she said, "It's about Eleanor and Amber."

"Hmm?" Harrison frowned slightly, confused.

"The two of them?"

He had previously taken Amber and Eleanor out for a meal.

Besides that, he didn't know what other connection they could have.

Adeline briefly explained what she knew about the situation to Harrison.

However, she left out Anna.

After all, Anna was an outsider who had only overheard Eleanor and Amber's conversation and hadn't shared it with anyone.

Adeline didn't want to involve her.

After listening, Harrison didn't react strongly but just nodded and said, "I see."

To be honest, he didn't care who Eleanor was involved with or had improper relations with.

As long as she fulfilled their previously agreed cooperation and didn't disturb their lives, that was enough.

Adeline wasn't trying to report Eleanor's situation, but Eleanor was the type to be wary of, and now involving Amber, she felt that something might be about to happen.

So she wanted Harrison to know these things, so that if something did happen, they wouldn't be completely clueless.

"That's all I have to say," Adeline said.

"So, are you going to make me leave now?"

Harrison looked at her with a hint of grievance in his eyes.

Seeing him look at her this way, Adeline felt a bit flustered.

"I... I'm not. I just wanted to tell you this matter."

Harrison sighed lightly and said, "Alright, then I'll go."

After saying this, he turned and placed his hand on the door handle.

But he didn't open the door immediately.

Instead, he turned to look at Adeline and asked, "I'm leaving now."

Adeline didn't speak.

Harrison sighed again, and just as he was about to open the door, he suddenly felt a soft hand grasp his wrist.

He was so surprised that he nearly opened the door.

"Forget it," Adeline said softly. "It's so late, and there are two beds here. You can stay and rest here.”

Harrison felt ecstatic.

Although he didn't plan to do anything, just being able to be with her, even for a minute more, made him happy.

"Alright then," he said, turning around.

Adeline raised an eyebrow and asked, "Why does it seem like you're reluctant? If you don't want to..."

"I didn't mean that," Harrison quickly said.

"Where do you see me being reluctant?"

Adeline struggled to keep her smile from appearing.

"Well, I see," Adeline said.

Harrison sighed with relief.

"The bathroom is over there, and there are new toiletries. If vou need to freshen up. go ahead.

I'm going to sleep now."

After saying that, Adeline sat down by the bed she had just slept in.

"I'll sleep in this bed. You take the other one."

"Alright, do as you say," Harrison said.

Although their relationship was completely different from before, hearing Harrison say those words still made Adeline's scalp tingle.

The once unyielding and stern person was now listening to her.

How frightening.

Harrison went to the bathroom to freshen up.

Adeline lay back down on the bed.

She couldn't sleep before, but now, as soon as she closed her eyes, sleep overwhelmed her.

Adeline quickly fell into a deep sleep.

After finishing up, Harrison came out of the bathroom and saw her facing away, apparently already asleep.

He immediately tiptoed and carefully lay down on the other bed.

Watching her back, his gaze softened.

He would never let her leave his side, never.

Myra hardly slept well all night.

Harrison didn't listen to her, and although Lorenzo appeared to be polite, she could tell that Lorenzo was clearly siding with Harrison.

If this continued, Adeline would become the future Mrs. Thomson.

She couldn't allow this to happen.

So, after thinking it over, she made a phone call.
