One night stand with my president(chapter 196)

Chapter 196:  Get Out

Eleanor sneered, "Ms. Hensley, don't think I don't know what you're up to. You're just trying to ingratiate yourself with Mason and Regina, aren't you?"

Adeline was speechless.

To be honest, she had no such intention at all.

She just felt that it was heartbreaking and distressing to see two elderly people worrying about their severely injured son.

If she wanted to flatter wealthy people, wouldn't it be more effective to please the elders of the Thomson family?

It could only be said that Eleanor's mind was dirty, so she saw everything through a dirty lens.

"Have you said enough?" Harrison said coldly, "If you've said enough, get out."

Eleanor felt a chill in her heart.

Harrison had actually used such words directly with her, indicating he was truly angry.

This was even in front of Mason and Regina.

Humiliation and unwillingness surged up, and she couldn't help but argue, "Did I say something wrong? She clearly is..."

"Enough!" Mason couldn't help but stand up, his face darkened as he said, "Ms. Fraser, my son is seriously injured and still inside. I appreciate your visit, but I don't have the patience to listen to you stir up trouble."

Regina also said, "I don't think Ms. Hensley is trying to ingratiate herself with us. I just find her very considerate and helpful. Ms. Fraser, if you plan to keep causing a scene, please leave."

After saying that, she wearily closed her eyes.

Eleanor's face turned pale.

She didn't expect Sam's parents to side with Adeline.

They had always been very kind to Eleanor five years ago.

Eleanor thought, "Moreover, shouldn't they look down on someone like Adeline with her background? How could this happen?"

But at this point, she could only awkwardly say, "Sorry, Mason, Regina, I didn't mean to disturb you and Sam. It's just that the milk from such a small store might not be clean, so..."

She couldn't continue even though she tried.

"Whether it's clean or not isn't up to you to decide," Regina said displeasedly.

After saying that, she even took a sip of the milk.

This was like a blatant slap in Eleanor's face.

Eleanor was embarrassed and could only hurriedly say, "Then I'll leave now. Mason, Regina, don't worry too much. Sam will be fine."

After saying that, she glared at Adeline and left.

Adeline was quite speechless, but she was used to Eleanor's behavior and didn't take it to heart.

If Eleanor wanted to be angry, let her be.

Adeline wasn't bothered.

Regina put down the milk, walked over to Adeline, and took her hand, saying, "You're a good child. Don't take what she said to heart."

"Don't worry about me. I'm fine," Adeline said.

Regina smiled and nodded, "Good child..."

At first, she didn't recognize Adeline and didn't have the energy to figure out who she was, but when Eleanor called her "Ms. Hensley," she remembered that this should be Harrison's secretary.

She had seen Adeline from afar before but hadn't interacted with her.

Seeing her today, Regina felt that Adeline was truly excellent. If only she could be Sam's secretary, or better if she could be with Sam.

But soon, Regina came back to her senses.

She hoped for such a daughter-in-law, but Ms. Hensley probably wouldn't look at her son.

Regina sighed slightly.

Seeing Regina's expression, Harrison suddenly felt a bit uneasy.

He said, "Mason, Regina, I've arranged for an empty room nearby. You must be very tired. Go and rest for a while. I'll stay here. If Sam wakes up, 'll call you immediately."

"We'll leave someone here to watch over him, so you should rest as well," Mason quickly said.

Harrison shook his head and said, "I'm fine. Don't worry. If I can't hold out, I'll have someone replace me."

He hoped that when Sam woke up, he would see familiar faces around him.

Mason and Regina were older and might not be able to stay awake for long.

They were aware of this themselves.

Although they wanted to stay by their son's side, they feared that if they couldn't hold out, they would only add to the trouble.

"Alright." Mason walked over, patted Harrison on the shoulder, and said, "Harrison, thank you for this."

"Sam and I are like brothers. It's only right for me to do so," Harrison said with a faint smile.

Mason said nothing more, but his eyes were filled with gratitude.

After Mason and Regina went to rest, Harrison asked Adeline, "Do you want to go home, or stay here at the hospital?"

There weren't many people in the hospital today, and there were many empty rooms available if needed.

Adeline shook her head and said, "I'll stay here with you."

Harrison frowned slightly and said, "I can manage by myself. You should rest."

"It's fine. We've stayed up working together before," Adeline smiled. "Don't worry, and if I can't hold out, I'll let you know."

Harrison felt that this sounded a bit familiar.

He had just said the same to Mason and Regina.

He sighed helplessly. "Alright then."

He couldn't change her mind now.

At that moment, Adeline's phone suddenly Vibrated.

She looked at it and felt a bit nervous.

It was a call from Joyce.

Since the Juarez family hadn't kept the news quiet, Joyce likely already knew about Sam's injury.

After all, she worked at a magazine and would definitely hear all sorts of rumors.

Since the call had come, Adeline couldn't ignore it.

"Joyce?"

Joyce's voice on the other end sounded very anxious. "Adeline, just now, a colleague mentioned in the group that Sam was attacked and injured, and it's quite serious. Is that true?"

Adeline sighed.

This matter couldn't be kept secret any longer.

By tomorrow morning, it would be completely out in the open.

Knowing tonight or tomorrow morning made no difference to Joyce.

"It's true," Adeline said. "I'm at the hospital now."

She heard Joyce gasp and quickly added, "But don't worry, since he's out of danger now."

"Is he seriously injured?" Joyce asked anxiously.

"Does he have many wounds? Did he bleed a lot?"

Adeline replied vaguely, "It's not too bad."

"Which hospital is he in? I'll come over right now."

Adeline hurriedly said, "It's too late now.

It's not convenient for you to come, and he's still unconscious. You wouldn't be able to talk to him if you came."

Her main concern was that if Joyce came and saw Sam still unconscious, she might not be able to control her emotions.
