One night stand with my president(chapter 192)

Chapter  192: Do You Want to Try?

If Eleanor dared to use this incident against Adeline, she might end up offending Harrison as well.

So Eleanor had no choice but to force herself to swallow her anger.

She struggled to stand up from the ground and said with a trembling voice, "Ms. Hensley, I didn't expect you to be this kind of person."

Adeline raised her hand again.

Eleanor, terrified, quickly stepped back and nearly fell again.

However, Adeline only raised her hand to adjust her sleeve.

"Ms. Fraser, if you provoke me again, you might discover many more sides of me," she said with a smile. "Do you want to try?"

A trace of panic flashed in Eleanor's eyes.

To be honest, even without Harrison backing Adeline, Eleanor wouldn't dare to do anything more now.

She could feel that Adeline was a tough

person, not to be trifled with.

If she pushed Adeline to the limit, Eleanor didn't - know what consequences she would face.

Eleanor took a deep breath, stopped talking to Adeline, and turned to Harrison.

"Harrison, I didn't expect you to watch me being bullied like this." Her eyes quickly filled with tears. "After all, we've known each other for so many years."

"I think you have a misunderstanding of the term'bullying," Harrison said coldly. "You brought this on yourself."

Clearly, it was Eleanor's own fault for falling and yet she tried to blame Adeline.

She was just getting what she deserved.

"I know you're on her side," Eleanor said with a bitter smile.

Harrison didn't speak, but his gaze conveyed a "it's good that you know" attitude.

"Harrison, I feel sorry for you. You don't even know who is truly sincere towards you."

After saying this, Eleanor left.

She didn't want to stay in front of Harrison and Adeline any longer. She was truly afraid she might lose control.

After Eleanor left, Adeline washed her hands again.

She was quite disgusted after grabbing Eleanor's hair earlier.

When she finished washing her hands and came out, she saw Harrison watching her with a smile.

Adeline asked, "Why are you smiling?"

"I knew you weren't someone to mess with, but I didn't expect you to take it this far," he said with a laugh.

Adeline snorted and said, "She keeps provoking me repeatedly; anyone would lose their patience."

Harrison's smile gradually faded. After a moment of silence, he said, "Sorry."

A big part of why Eleanor targeted Adeline was because of him.

"Why are you apologizing to me?" Adeline looked at him in surprise. "These things are all her doing, not something you forced her into."

Harrison had made it clear to Eleanor.

It was Eleanor who had agreed to cooperate and then reneged, creating chaos and harboring ill intentions.

"In the future, if there are any work-related matters involving Eleanor, you don't have to participate," Harrison said.

He wasn't worried about a conflict between Adeline and Eleanor. He was just afraid that Eleanor would cause Adeline trouble.

This was exactly what Adeline wanted.

She didn't want to see Eleanor anymore.

She nodded and said, "Alright, I'll focus on Castlewill Manor for now."

The Thomson Group had recently developed a new Castlewill Manor, which was completed and about to open for business.

The group attached great importance to the Castlewill Manor.

"Good."

"By the way, how did you end up here?" Adeline suddenly remembered to ask.

Harrison's lips moved slightly as he said, "I happened to be passing by.”

He wouldn't mention that he missed her so much after only a short separation, so he came here specially to wait for her.

Adeline was speechless.

Adeline thought, "This place isn't on the way to the president's office. How could he have passed by here?"

But she had no intention of calling him out on it and simply said, "So, do you want to go back to the president's office together now?" A smile appeared on Harrison's face.

He said, "Sure."

When it was time to get off work in the evening, Harrison originally wanted to invite Adeline for dinner but received a call from Lorenzo, asking him to come home for dinner.

Since Lorenzo asked him to return, Harrison naturally wouldn't refuse.

Moreover, due to Ronan's injury in Marifort City, Lorenzo had been uneasy, so it was just right for Harrison to go back and comfort him.

Although Lorenzo was decisive and fearless in his youth, now that he was older and his grandson was injured, he couldn't help but feel uneasy.

When Harrison returned to the Thomson family, he saw Myra sitting on the sofa as soon as he entered.

Myra was probably still angry with him. She had no smile on her face when she saw Harrison and simply said, "You're back."

"Mom," Harrison called out to her.

Myra sneered and said, "You might as well stop calling me Mom. It seems like you don't even see me as your mother."

"There's ho need to say such things."

Myra's anger flared up again, and just as she was about to say something, she heard footsteps coming down the stairs.

It was Lorenzo coming down.

Myra didn't dare to cause a scene in front of Lorenzo, so she had to swallow her words.

"Grandpa," Harrison said.

"Harrison is back," Lorenzo said with a smile. "| had the kitchen prepare your favorite dishes. They should be about ready."

Harrison and Lorenzo walked to the sofa and sat down.

Lorenzo sighed and said, "Ronan is a worry. He went to Marifort City and ended up injured. I don't know how he's doing now."

"Grandpa, don't worry. His injuries aren't severe," Harrison reassured. "With a bit of rest, he'll recover soon."

"It's just that he got injured and hospitalized in Marifort City, so I can't even go to see him," Lorenzo said.

Although Lorenzo was still in good health, due to his age, the doctor advised against him taking a plane to distant places.

So he couldn't visit Ronan in Marifort City.

Harrison said, "I'll find time to fly to Marifort City to see him in a few days. Don't worry."

Lorenzo nodded and patted Harrison's hand.

Lorenzo said, "Harrison, with you here, I'm reassured."

After saying that, he added with a smile, "Why didn't you bring Ms. Hensley for dinner today?"

Harrison glanced subtly at Myra and said,

"She has something to do. I'll bring her to see you next time."

Myra still had biases against Adeline.

If Adeline were brought back, Myra would likely make things difficult for her again.

Harrison could protect Adeline, but he didn't want her to be upset.

"Alright," Lorenzo said. "Ms. Hensley is a good lady. If she can stay by your side, it's your blessing."

The more Lorenzo spoke, the worse Myra's expression became.

Although she knew it was impolite, she couldn't help but interrupt, "Recently, a friend of mine introduced me to a young lady. I think she would be a good match for Harrison. How about I invite her over for dinner so you can meet her?"
