One night stand with my president(chapter 249)

Chapter 249 :Nothing Left to Discuss

Callan felt he shouldn't have done that.

However, while regretting his actions, he also harbored some resentment towards Adeline.

He thought that if Adeline hadn't gone to Joyce's house yesterday and stopped him, he would have won Joyce over.

Regardless, Joyce had already started to hate him.

Callan neither won her heart nor her affection and ended up being hated by Joyce.

He was torn between regretting his actions and resenting Adeline for stopping him.

He knew he was being contradictory, but he couldn't help it.

He also didn't want to admit his own vileness.

"I don't know what happened between you and that girl, but I advise you to give up," Jamarion said, pouring him a cup of tea.

"Her heart isn't with you, no matter how hard you try to keep her."

Callan's face darkened as he swiped his coffee cup off the table.

With a crash, the coffee cup shattered into pieces, and coffee splattered everywhere.

Jamarion's expression darkened.

His subordinates quickly went out to find a server to clean up.

The server came in with tools, cleaned up with trepidation, and left quickly.

"Don't go too far," Jamarion said, suppressing his anger.

No one had dared to act like this towards

Jamarion since he made his fortune, except for his two children.

And neither of them were easy to deal with.

"What, is it too much?" Callan sneered, "When I was eating garbage from dumpsters as a child, being beaten by my stepfather, or bullied by classmates, why didn't you think that was too much?"

Jamarion was speechless.

The reason he had always indulged Callan, taking great risks to help him with his issues, was because he felt guilty for Callan's tragic childhood.

Every time he started to get angry, hearing about Callan's past made him cool down.

Jamarion took a deep breath and said, "Back then, I didn't even know you existed. If I had known my son was living like that, I wouldn't have ignored you."

"Hmph, no matter what you say now, the suffering I endured back then can't be erased," Callan said.

Jamarion was silent for a moment before saying, "I had already considered the consequences when I sent someone to kill Sam. Doing this would certainly offend Harrison. At the time, I thought that if it fulfilled your wish, offending Harrison would be worth it. But now, first, my people failed to accomplish it on the first try, making it harder to kill Sam again and causing a complete rift with Harrison. Second, your sister..."

"Don't mention her!" Callan said coldly, "She was living the good life while I was suffering, and now you want me to consider her feelings?"

"Regardless, you are siblings. And when she was younger..."

"Half-siblings, does that even count?"

Callan sneered, "By your logic, with how many lovers you had back then, I don't know if there are more of your offspring out there."

For a moment, Jamarion was left speechless.

Just then, a subordinate walked in and said, "Mr. Thomson has arrived."

Jamarion said, "Show him in quickly."

Upon hearing that Harrison was coming, Callan suddenly felt nervous.

After all, he knew who Harrison was.

Although Callan acted tough, deep down, he was a bit afraid of Harrison.

Jamarion, being older and experienced, wasn't afraid, but Callan was different.

After a while, footsteps were heard at the door.

Jamarion thought for a moment and then stood up from his seat.

Although he was older than Harrison, he was the one seeking a truce this time, so he had to show Harrison proper respect.

Callan didn't want to stand up at first, but he decided to, and he nervously kept his eyes fixed on the door.

When Harrison walked in, the atmosphere in the room seemed to get tense.

Although Harrison hadn't said or done anything yet, everyone felt an invisible pressure.

Callan instinctively glanced at Jamarion for reassurance.

Jamarion noticed Callan's anxiety but kept his composure, walking up to Harrison with a smile and extending his hand, saying, "Mr. Thomson, it's been a while since we met."

The last time they met was five years ago at a dinner.

At that time, Harrison had just taken over the Thomson Group.

Although many people had praised Harrison's talent, Jamarion hadn't taken him seriously back then.

He didn't expect that five years later, Harrison would become someone even he had to take seriously.

Jamarion had no doubt that even without inheriting the family business, Harrison would have achieved his current success sooner or later.

Harrison politely shook Jamarion's hand. "It has indeed been a while."

Jamarion smiled and gave Callan a look.

Callan took a deep breath, calmed himself down, and walked up to Harrison, extending his hand.

"Mr. Thomson, it's good to see you again."

However, Harrison completely ignored him.

Callan was displeased but dared not show it, leaving his hand awkwardly suspended in mid-air.

"Mr. Thomson, please have a seat," Jamarion said to smooth things over.

Rowen, who had been following Harrison, pulled out a chair. Harrison sat down.

Jamarion sat across from Harrison, and Callan finally withdrew his hand and sat beside Jamarion.

Jamarion's subordinate poured a glass of red wine for each of them.

"We invited you to dinner mainly to apologize for the issue with Mr. Juarez," Jamarion said directly.

Callan looked at Jamarion in surprise, not expecting him to be so straightforward. He had thought Jamarion would beat around the bush before he brought up this matter to Harrison.

Jamarion raised his glass to toast to Harrison and said, "Please, Mr. Thomson."

Harrison, however, did not immediately accept the toast.

He said calmly, "Since this is about Sam, you should show sincerity and apologize to the Juarez family."

Jamarion put down his glass, smiled, and said, "Mr. Thomson, you should know very well that if it were just the Juarez family, I wouldn't bother with them."

His words were arrogant, but Harrison knew Jamarion had the capital to back it up.

Jamarion's statement was also an attempt to elevate the Thomson family's status and win favor with Harrison.

Unfortunately, Harrison wasn't impressed.

Harrison never needed to elevate himself by belittling others, especially when Sam had been his good friend since childhood.

"In that case, I suppose there's nothing more to discuss," Harrison said.

  1. That's a good show of good friendship by Harrison. Jamarion looking down upon Sam's family is an insult also to Harrison. So he either do as Harrison has said or be an enemy to Harrison as well.
