One night stand with my president (chapter 190)

Chapter 190: Slapping Her Face

Eleanor didn't want to waste any more time and risk upsetting Harrison.

She could feel that Harrison was growing increasingly indifferent towards her.

So, for this shoot, she made an effort to cooperate with Daphne, discussing any ideas with her.

Seeing Eleanor finally behaving properly, Daphne also dropped her harsh tone and professionally took several sets of photos for Eleanor.

After the shoot, Daphne was quite satisfied.

"The photos we took today are very good,"

Daphne said to Harrison and Adeline. "Just pick out a few that you think are the most suitable and best."

"You choose," Harrison said.

Daphne yawned and said, "No, I'm tired. You two choose. I trust your taste."

Daphne wasn't irresponsible. She said this because all the photos from today were good, and any chosen would be presentable.

Eleanor stood aside, feeling satisfied as well.

She even thought that these were some of the best photos she had ever had since entering the entertainment industry.

Eleanor thought, "Daphne is indeed a world-renowned designer with real skill."

She thought she should build a good relationship with Daphne. If Eleanor could continue to have Daphne take her photos in the future, it would certainly help her career.

With this in mind, Eleanor took a few steps forward, getting closer to Daphne, and began to make small talk.

"Daphne, you're amazing. No wonder people from all over the entertainment industry want to hire you for photo shoots," Eleanor said.

Since Eleanor was cooperating well this afternoon, Daphne's attitude toward her softened a bit.

"You flatter me. You have very good conditions yourself."

Hearing this, Eleanor felt a surge of joy.

It seemed Daphne recognized her.

Eleanor cleared her throat and said, "I'm happy to collaborate with you this time. It shows we're destined to work together. How about having dinner together tonight?"

"No, I have other plans," Daphne declined.

Being polite to Eleanor didn't mean she wanted to continue interacting with her.

Besides, if it had not been for Harrison, Daphne wouldn't have come to take photos of Eleanor.

Even though the dinner invitation was declined, Eleanor wasn't willing to give up just like that.

She worried that today might be her last chance to contact Daphne, so she continued, "I'm thinking of doing a photo shoot soon. I wonder if you have time? As long as you're willing to cooperate, everything is negotiable."

"No," Daphne said with almost no hesitation.

Eleanor felt extremely awkward.

She wanted to negotiate with Daphne again but couldn't bring herself to do so and had to give up.

Just as she was about to return to the dressing room to change clothes, she saw Daphne grabbing Adeline's hand.

"Adeline, please, if you have time, let me take some photos of you."

Eleanor's expression instantly turned sour.

She had just politely asked Daphne to take her photos, and Daphne had refused without a second thought.

Now, Daphne asked Adeline to be her model, right in front of Harrison.

It was just like a slap in Eleanor's face.

Eleanor could imagine how bad her expression must look now. She couldn't stay there any longer, not even wanting to go back to the dressing room, and walked out directly.

Her assistant and others were momentarily stunned, and then quickly chased after her.

"Ms. Fraser? You haven't changed your clothes yet..."

Daphne, used to being willful, didn't care about Eleanor's thoughts. Her mind was now fully focused on how to get Adeline to be her model.

"Adeline? Please."

Having begged so earnestly, Adeline couldn't refuse.

And since she had never had a proper photo shoot before, trying it with a world-renowned photographer didn't seem like a bad idea.

"Okay." Adeline nodded.

"You agreed?" Daphne was thrilled. "Just let me know when you have time. I have time recently."

"Okay, I should be available this weekend." Daphne was delighted, almost wanting to spin around holding Adeline in one hand and Harrison in the other.

But she didn't dare pull Harrison and could only chat excitedly with Adeline.

Her happiness seemed to be contagious, and Adeline also smiled.

Harrison watched her smile, his eyes gradually softening.

Adeline didn't notice, but Daphne did.

Daphne turned to Harrison and said, "Why don't you come along on the day we take photos? Speaking of which, you're quite handsome yourself. I haven't taken photos of you in a long time."

"Alright." Harrison quickly agreed.

Daphne knew he would agree.

With Adeline there, how could Harrison refuse?

She thought to herself, "Buddy, this is all I can help you with."

Daphne chatted with Adeline for a while longer before leaving.

There was a restroom nearby. Adeline wanted to wash her hands but didn't expect to see Eleanor standing in front of the sink when she entered.

Adeline thought, "So she hasn't left yet?"

Adeline was a bit surprised but didn't show it.

She simply walked to another sink and began washing her hands.

The restroom was very quiet, with only the sound of running water.

Eleanor seemed to have just retouched her makeup and was holding lipstick.

At this moment, she put the lipstick in her bag and coldly stared at Adeline in the mirror.

Her emotions had been so terrible earlier that she worried about being photographed by paparazzi when she went out, so she came to the restroom to calm down first.

She had calmed down quite a bit, but seeing Adeline, her anger flared up again.

Eleanor thought, "Harrison has feelings for Adeline, and Daphne also looks at her differently. What does she have that deserved this?"

Adeline finished washing her hands, dried them with a tissue, and tossed the tissue into the nearby trash can before preparing to leave.

Eleanor called out to her. "Adeline."

Adeline stopped and turned to look at her, asking lightly, "Yes?"

Eleanor disliked her indifferent demeanor.

Last time, she used the ointment to frame Adeline, even injuring her own face in the process, but Adeline remained unmoved,

showing no panic.

Everything she had done had turned into a joke.

It was so frustrating.

Eleanor stared at Adeline for a moment, and then suddenly smiled.

"Ms. Hensley, you're so beautiful. How about joining the entertainment industry? I can introduce you to some connections. With your looks, you'll definitely become a big star."
