Chapter 250: I will Be Watching
When he heard Harrison's words, Jamarion's eyes flashed with a hint of displeasure.
He didn't want to make an enemy of Harrison if he could avoid it, but that didn't mean he was truly afraid of the Thomson family.
Otherwise, he wouldn't have agreed to help Callan deal with Sam in the first place.
At that time, he was prepared to fight back if Harrison came after him.
But now, since his men failed to kill Sam and their objective wasn't achieved, Jamarion saw no reason to continue clashing with Harrison.
It was unnecessary to make an enemy of Harrison on top of failing to accomplish his goal.
Moreover, Sam was still Daphne's friend.
With Daphne's stance, Jamarion had no intention of taking further action against Sam.
Given that, there was even less reason to create a conflict with Harrison.
That was why Jamarion was so polite to Harrison today.
However, he didn't expect Harrison to be so disrespectful.
But Jamarion, given his experience, would not show his displeasure directly.
He was also capable of maintaining his composure.
"Come to think of it, I do owe Mr. Juarez an apology. I'll visit him in the hospital personally and apologize," Jamarion said with a smile.
"What? You.." Callan looked at him in astonishment.
Jamarion immediately shot Callan a glare, signaling him to keep quiet.
Harrison tapped his index finger lightly on the table and said, "There's no need to apologize at the hospital. I don't think Sam would want to see you, and what the Juarez family needs is not that."
Jamarion's expression changed suddenly.
He was not displeased by Harrison's words but realized that Harrison was speaking to him without any restraint, indicating that Harrison was completely unafraid of him.
Harrison's power was likely stronger than he had thought.
However, Jamarion quickly regained his composure.
Having experienced many hardships, he was not easily rattled.
"Understood," Jamarion said with a faint smile.
"Give me a little more time, and I will provide compensation that satisfies both the Thomson family and the Juarez family to express my apology."
"Well, I'll be watching," Harrison said.
Jamarion said, "However, Mr. Thomson, you should understand the principle of knowing when to stop."
He couldn't allow Harrison to have complete control over him, so, he issued this warning.
Harrison curved his lips into a vague smile.
"That depends on how you handle it."
Jamarion raised his glass once again.
This time, Harrison finally took his glass and clinked it gently with Jamarion's.
Before coming, Harrison had talked with Sam and his parents.
Sam's parents were unwilling to fall out with Jamarion.
Although they were very angry about Tom's assault and had the Thomson family backing them, there were many other considerations for them.
First, Jamarion's influence was significant.
If they truly fought a life-and-death struggle with.
Jamarion, the Juarez family would be severely damaged.
They had just experienced the fear and pain of nearly losing their son and did not want to go through it again.
Second, they didn't want the Thomson family to be dragged into a huge mess because of them.
They knew Harrison and Sam were close, and for that reason, they had to consider Harrison's position.
Sam agreed with this as well.
But since Sam was so badly injured, they couldn't let Jamarion off lightly and had to make him pay significantly.
Harrison was not afraid, but he had to respect the wishes of the Juarez family.
Jamarion, being a smart man, understood this without needing much explanation.
They clinked glasses, and Callan stood by, nervous.
He thought, "Is Harrison implying that Jamarion should deal with me?"
After all, Callan was the main culprit in Sam's injury.
Just as he was panicking, Harrison spoke up again. "Additionally, there is one more thing I want to mention to you, Jamarion," Harrison said.
"Please keep an eye on your son. Taking advantage of girls is no skill at all."
Callan's heart was in his mouth.
He instinctively looked at Jamarion.
Jamarion, however, didn't look at him.
Instead, he smiled at Harrison and said, "I am fully aware of how to educate my son. Don't worry, Mr. Thomson."
Harrison said no more, stood up, and turned to leave.
As he reached the door, he paused and said coldly without looking back, "It's your responsibility to lecture your son, but if you fail to do so properly, don't blame others for stepping in."
With that, Harrison stepped out.
As he left, Jamarion's face darkened completely.
Callan only dared to express his frustration after Harrison had gone.
"What does he mean by that? Is he threatening me? Harrison is overstepping," Callan said.
"Shut up!" Jamarion snapped.
"You.." Callan wanted to continue speaking to Jamarion as he had before, but upon seeing Jamarion's cold gaze, he was suddenly scared and closed his mouth obediently.
Jamarion was in a very bad mood.
The conversation with Harrison had been unpleasant.
According to Harrison, Jamarion would have to provide substantial compensation to the Juarez family.
This meant he would have to make a significant financial loss.
However, he was somewhat relieved that Sam was not dead.
If Sam had died, Harrison and the Juarez family would have undoubtedly been out for Jamarion's blood.
And now, it was clear that Harrison had no qualms about Jamarion. If a real fight had broken out, he might not have been a match for Harrison.
He did not truly understand Harrison's
real strength.
"From now on, do not see that girl again," Jamarion said to Callan.
"Are you afraid of Harrison?" Callan asked in surprise.
"Do you want me to see my years of hard work destroyed because of you?" Jamarion said.
Jamarion felt sorry for Callan, who hadn't grown up by his side, but Jamarion hadn't lost his sense of reason.
Given the current situation, Jamarion felt he had to take a step back.
Callan, however, suddenly went into a rage and swept everything off the table.
Jamarion said nothing, merely watching him go mad coldly.
"I will never give up on her. I absolutely cannot bear to see her with Sam! Not unless I'm dead!" After shouting at Jamarion, Callan turned and left the room.
Jamarion rubbed his forehead in frustration and instructed his subordinate, "Keep
a close watch on him. Make sure he doesn't do anything he shouldn't."
"Yes, sir."
After Harrison left the restaurant and got into the car, he received a photo from Adeline.
The photo showed the dishes he had ordered for them.
Along with the photo, there was a message,
(The food is great. Joyce appreciates your kindness.)
