One night stand with my president (chapter 216)

 Chapter 216: Harrison is Charmed

But Adeline didn't hear the alarm clock ring at all.

It was probably because her phone got a virus last night, causing the alarm clock to malfunction.

"It's fine. I'm not in a hurry," Harrison said. "Take your time."

There have been too many things happening recently, and he was a bit worried about Adeline.

He originally wanted to give her a few days off, but knowing her personality, he figured she would still go to the office, so he came to pick her up this morning.

He had calculated Adeline's usual arrival time at the office and thought she should be about ready by now, but it seemed like she had just woken up.

However, Harrison didn't mind waiting for her.

After a while, Adeline came down from upstairs.

She seemed still half-asleep and started yawning as soon as she got into the car.

"Did you not sleep well last night?" Harrison

asked.

"I woke up in the middle of the night, chatted with Joyce for a bit, experienced a 'midnight call of ghost, and then tossed and turned for a while before I could fall back asleep," Adeline said.

'"Midnight call of ghost?'" Harrison frowned slightly. "What is that?"

"Someone pretended to be Amber and called me to scare me," Adeline said, finding it funny. "Too bad that person didn't know I'm not afraid of that stuff at all."

Harrison's expression darkened. "Who did that?"

"I don't know yet. Before the call, a scary face video inexplicably appeared on my phone, so l think someone might have implanted a virus in it," Adeline said. "I was just about to find a phone store to get it checked out."

"When we get to the office, I can help you take a look," Harrison said.

"You can do that?" Adeline asked in surprise.

Having been Harrison's secretary for five years, she had never seen him handle this kind of thing.

"I know a little," Harrison replied as he started the car. "You probably haven't had breakfast yet, right?"

"No."

"Then let's get some breakfast first."

There were several breakfast shops nearby, and Harrison randomly picked one, parking the car in front.

As soon as they walked into the breakfast shop and smelled the aroma of various breakfast items, Adeline immediately felt her stomach growl.

After Harrison left last night, someone delivered dinner to her.

But she didn't have much of an appetite, so she didn't eat much.

Now, after a night, she was hungry.

Her stomach growled loudly, and

Harrison heard it clearly while standing next to her.

"You didn't eat much last night, did you?"

Harrison asked helplessly.

"Not really..." Adeline refused to admit it. "I ate a lot."

Harrison didn't believe her but didn't call her out.

He just asked, "What do you want to eat?"

"Donuts, pancakes, and also pizza and milk."

Adeline was hungry, wanting to eat everything she saw.

Harrison immediately went to buy them, telling her to find a seat first.

The breakfast shop was busy, but most people were getting takeout, so there were plenty of empty seats.

Adeline casually chose a spot and sat down.

After a while, Harrison came back with a full tray of breakfast.

"The pancakes need to make a bit longer, so just eat these for now."

"Okay."

Adeline picked up a knife and put a donut in her mouth.

The doughnut was perfectly sweet, with a rich, buttery flavor that melted in her mouth.

"Oh, it is so sweet and yummy. But it's a bit hot," Adeline said.

Harrison wanted to get her something cold to help, but unfortunately, the milk he just bought was also hot.

He immediately went to buy a cup of cold milk for her.

By the time he returned, Adeline had recovered a bit, but her tongue still hurt.

After drinking a couple of sips of milk, she felt a little better.

"Ugh... that was so hot just now," Adeline said, feeling like she had escaped death.

"Take it slow. No one's going to snatch it from you," Harrison said helplessly. "If you don't have enough, I can buy more."

"I know."

Harrison was focused on Adeline, while Adeline was focused on eating, so neither of them noticed that there were several employees from the Thomson Group in the breakfast shop.

After all, this place was quite close to the Thomson Group, so some employees would come here for breakfast.

With Harrison's and Adeline's looks, it was hard for them not to be noticed. Moreover, the employees from the Thomson Group all saw them as soon as they entered.

They didn't dare take photos of the two, but they were gossiping in their groups with colleagues they were close to.

"I just came to the breakfast shop to buy breakfast. Guess who I saw?"

"Who?"

"I saw Mr. Thomson."

"So that's it? Mr. Thomson needs breakfast too, you know? It's normal to see him at the breakfast shop near the office. But Mr. Thomson actually came to buy breakfast

himself?"

"Oh, that's not the point. The point is that Mr. Thomson is with Ms. Hensley. And they seem to be quite intimate."

"Is that true?"

"I can vouch for it. I just saw it. When I went to buy breakfast, I happened to see Ms. Hensley seem to burn herself on the donut, which made Mr. Thomson nervous, and he immediately went to buy milk. Mr. Thomson walked right by me and didn't even notice me, even though I'd spoken to him a few times. You can tell his mind is all on Ms. Hensley."

"You guys didn't see how gentle Mr. Thomson looked at Ms. Hensley."

"I've said it before. Their relationship is definitely not simple. But you all didn't believe me."

"I believe it now. From now on, if anyone says Mr. Thomson doesn't like Ms. Hensley, I'm going to get angry."

"Can we ship this couple?"

"It looks like a good couple to ship."

"My heart is broken. Mr. Thomson is in love..."

"My heart is broken too.."

"Can you both wake up a little?"

"Well, to interrupt your couple shipping, I just saw that Ms. Hensley's attention was all on the food. She didn't even look at Mr. Thomson once."

"So, does that mean Ms. Hensley doesn't like Mr. Thomson? Could it be that Mr. Thomson is pursuing Ms. Hensley?"

"That sounds a bit like it. I didn't think that Mr. Thomson would fall for a woman."

While Harrison and Adeline were having breakfast, they had no idea that the rumor that "Mr. Thomson is pursuing Ms. Hensley" had already spread in the company.

By the time they arrived at the office and entered the president's office, Adeline noticed that her colleagues were looking at them with strange expressions.

Among the strange looks, there seemed to be a hint of excitement.

She looked at Anna in confusion, only to see Anna secretly signaling her, probably wanting to say something.

But just then, Harrison said to her, "Come to my office. I'll help you check your phone."

Adeline had no choice but to follow Harrison into the office.
