One night stand with president(chapter 167)

Chapter 167: Nothing Concealed

Adeline said, "What does it matter to me if Mr. Hunter is in Marifort City?"

Harrison's gaze darkened slightly. "So, you enjoy being with him? Just because I wasn't around this morning, you ended up with him."

"It was just a coincidence," Adeline said.

"Is such a coincidence possible? We've already changed hotels, yet you managed to run into him, even get into his car, go somewhere, and then come back together."

Adeline opened her mouth, wanting to explain She and Russell really just happened to meet.

However, the things Myra said to her over the phone seemed like a curse, echoing incessantly in her mind.

If she hadn't heard those words, she might have explained things to Harrison last night.

Harrison kept staring intently at Adeline.

He wanted to hear her explanation.

As long as she spoke, he would believe.

Adeline struggled to forget Myra's words and said with difficulty, "That day, I was just out for a walk, and then..."

"Harrison..."

The office door suddenly swung open.

Eleanor walked in gracefully.

When she saw Adeline, a hint of coldness flashed in Eleanor's eyes.

But soon, she smiled again and said, "Harrison, haven't you eaten yet?"

"Why are you here?" Harrison asked coldly.

"I'm here today for the photo shoot for the spokesperson. Although the appointment was in the afternoon, I wanted to see you, so I came early," Eleanor said.

"I hope next time before you enter, you knock on the door."

Harrison's words made Eleanor's face pale.

He actually didn't give her any face, especially in front of Adeline.

"Harrison, don't joke with me." Eleanor could only force a smile.

Harrison took off his glasses and rubbed his forehead, seeming a bit impatient.

Adeline didn't want to see Eleanor.

"Mr. Thomson, I'll leave first," she said, turning to leave.

At Adeline's departure, Eleanor's mouth curled into a satisfied smile. However, as soon as she turned her head, she saw Harrison staring absentmindedly at the office door.

Eleanor thought, "Is he thinking about Adeline?"

Eleanor felt a strong jealousy.

But she resisted her anger, not letting her face distort because of jealousy. She just walked to the sofa and sat down, looking at the dishes on the coffee table. "Harrison, come and eat quickly. The food will get cold soon."

Harrison came back to his senses but didn't go directly over. Instead, he said, "Since you're here, let's go to the studio area to prepare."

"Harrison, it's still early. I want to spend more time with you..."

"Eleanor Fraser." Harrison called her full name directly and said, "Our transaction is over."

Eleanor sadly smiled and asked, "So between us, it's just transactions or cooperation?"

"Yes."

Eleanor didn't expect him to be so straightforward. For a moment, she didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

"Harrison, can't we avoid this? You know my feelings for you... We can still be friends," Eleanor said.

Her words made Harrison smile sarcastically.

"The premise of being friends is that you haven't targeted her."

"Her? You mean Adeline?"

Eleanor looked at him in shock.

Did he make no secret of his preference for Adeline now?

Even though her heart was in turmoil, Eleanor tried to maintain a calm appearance.

Eleanor said, "Harrison, have you misunderstood something? When have I targeted Ms. Hensley?"

"You know it yourself."

Eleanor felt a chill down her spine, beads of cold sweat forming on her forehead.

Did he know everything?

She could still stand in front of him now only because of their agreed cooperation.

What if there was no such cooperation?

Eleanor didn't dare to think about it.

Just then, her phone suddenly rang.

Startled, Eleanor hurriedly took out her phone from her bag.

Seeing the caller ID, she became even more nervous, subconsciously glancing at Harrison, her eyes betraying her anxiety.

Harrison took in her reaction and frowned slightly.

Who could make her react like this?

He wasn't interested in Eleanor's affairs. He just didn't want her to scheme behind his back.

"Harrison, please eat first. I need to take this call." Eleanor tried to make her tone and expression appear natural, then quickly turned and left the office.

Although it was lunchtime, some people would eat at their desks in the CEO's office.

She didn't dare to answer the phone directly here.

The phone kept ringing incessantly, as if urging her on.

Eleanor looked around and finally chose to walk into the pantry.

There was no one in the pantry.

Eleanor closed and locked the door before answering the call.

"Hello?"

"Why did it take you so long to answer the phone?" Lance's voice sounded very displeased.

Eleanor wanted to curse, but she didn't dare. She could only slow down and say, "My phone was on silent. I just saw it."

"Is that so?" Lance sneered, "Isn't it because you're with Harrison right now?"

Eleanor's hair stood on end.

She hurriedly said, "I came to the Thomson Group today, but just for the spokesperson photoshoot we agreed on before. This cooperation is very beneficial for my development."

"I don't want to hear you say these things," Lance said coldly. "I just want to know if you're with Harrison right now."

"No."

She had already left Harrison's office.

So, this wasn't a lie.

"Really not?" Lance said softly, "Baby, if I find out you're lying to me, the consequences will be severe."

His voice was about to drive Eleanor crazy.

Why wouldn't Lance let her go?

Back then, it was he who made her famous abroad, but she had also accompanied him for so many years, fulfilling all sorts of strange quirks of his. Wasn't that enough?

But she didn't dare say these things to Lance.

If she angered him, he could do anything. What she feared most was him telling Harrison about their affair.

"I really didn't lie to you," Eleanor pretended to be wronged. "I'm going to spend the whole afternoon taking photos. I'm already very tired, and you're treating me like this."

"Then terminate the cooperation with the Thomson Group," Lance said. "Ill pay the penalty for you."

Eleanor quickly said, "It's not about the penalty! As I told you, this cooperation is very important for my development! In Mugroaton, you can make me famous, but in my country, can you really help me?"
