Chapter 182: Whom Was She Writing About?
"I hope to stay at the Thomson Group. I hope my salary keeps increasing! Keep going!"
Harrison's smile widened as he read the wish.
It was clear that Adeline's wish had come true.
She had been with the Thomson Group for five years now, and her salary had indeed risen significantly.
His eyes continued to search for the wish wall.
Soon, he spotted another note with Adeline's handwriting.
"I hope I can quickly learn how to take meeting minutes. I don't want to be scolded anymore."
Harrison remembered that when Adeline first joined the president's office, she struggled with meeting minutes. She was often reprimanded by the staff.
But it didn't take long for her to master it, and since then, her meeting minutes.had never been problematic.
She was indeed both talented and hardworking.
Harrison was about to turn away from the wall when he noticed another note with Adeline's handwriting.
"I like him. Although I see him every day, he always feels so distant. It makes me sad."
Harrison's heart skipped a beat.
He thought, "Did Adeline write this? Who is she referring to?"
At that moment, he heard footsteps behind him.
Then came Adeline's voice, "Mr. Thomson?"
Harrison turned to see Adeline returning.
When she saw him standing in front of the wish wall, Adeline visibly panicked. .
She hurried over and grabbed Harrison's arm.
"Mr. Thomson, these are from many years ago. There's nothing to see. Let's go back to the table."
Her reaction made Harrison even more curious.
"Why are you so nervous?" Harrison asked,
"These are anonymous wishes. If they're posted here, it means they don't mind being seen."
"That is true..."
"And didn't you say you hadn't written anything here?" Harrison gazed at her intently.
Her question made Adeline's heart settle a little..
Considering how many notes there were,
Harrison might not even notice hers.
Plus, her handwriting had matured since then.
Even if he saw it, he might not recognize it.
"I didn't write anything," Adeline said.
If he saw her past thoughts, she'd rather find a hole to hide in.
Her denial made Harrison's expression even more complex.
Harrison thought, "I'm certain the note was
indeed written by her in the past, so who was the 'him' she wrote about?"
"Come on, sit down. The noodles will be ready soon."
Adeline pulled Harrison back to the table.
Harrison was lost in thought about the man Adeline had liked, so he followed her without protest.
The note mentioned "seeing him every day," which suggested that the person was also working at the Thomson Group at the time, most likely in the president's office.
Otherwise, Adeline wouldn't be able to see him every day.
Harrison thought, "Could it be some guy who left three years ago? Or could it be the one still in the president's office?"
Harrison recalled that the male employee had a good relationship with Adeline.
But he didn't seem to have much interaction with Adeline.
The more Harrison thought, the more anxious he became.
Harrison thought, "Did Adeline still like him now?"
