Chapter 170: She's Not Qualified Yet
Daphne's incredulity was clearly written on her face.
She just wanted to take Eleanor to see the photos.
Why did Eleanor act as if she had been mistreated?
Just then, a deep male voice sounded.
"What's going on?"
Adeline and Daphne turned to look.
It was Harrison who had arrived.
"Harrison!"
Eleanor immediately ran over.
Daphne couldn't help but roll her eyes.
No wonder Eleanor had acted like that just now.
She must have seen Harrison arrive, so the show began.
Eleanor ran up to Harrison and said with
grievance, "Harrison, I'm sorry. It's all my fault for not meeting Ms. Vaughn's requirements."
Upon hearing this, Harrison glanced over.
He first looked at Adeline, then his gaze shifted to Daphne.
Daphne sneered and said, "So Ms. Fraser has some self-awareness after all."
A hint of resentment flashed in Eleanor's eyes, but when she looked at Harrison, she put on a pitiful look again.
Harrison said lightly, "This is your first collaboration. Friction is normal. You need more communication and adaptation. Let's pause the shooting and have a good chat."
"No need! I don't want to shoot anymore," Daphne said displeasedly. "Harrison, I came here for your sake, but you let me shoot someone like her? She lacks in professionalism but is good at pretending."
"I don't!" Eleanor hurriedly said, "Harrison, I just didn't know how to communicate with Ms. Vaughn."
"What do you mean you didn't know how to communicate with me? Did you communicate with me at all? You simply didn't cooperate with me!" Daphne snapped.
Harrison was not interested in their argument.
His attention was on Adeline because he noticed the fatigue on Adeline's face.
Although Adeline was trying to hold on, he could still see it at a glance.
"Ms. Vaughn, you sound like...
"Alright, stop arguing." Harrison raised his hand to rub his forehead. "You go to the lounge."
He said this to Eleanor.
Upon hearing this, Eleanor had no choice but to leave and go to the lounge.
Daphne still had a cold face and didn't speak kindly to Harrison.
"I'm not shooting anymore! I'm leaving," Adeline quickly grabbed her and said, "Ms. Vaughn, calm down. We can discuss everything."
Facing Adeline, Daphne's expression and tone softened a bit.
"Ms. Hensley, you've seen it too. It's not that I didn't communicate with her. It's that she didn't communicate with me at all," Daphne said displeasedly, "Actually, I'm not dictatorial when ! take photos. I'm willing to listen to the other party's opinions and discuss it. But it seems she doesn't want to discuss it with me at all, completely disrespecting me! She didn't even think seriously about the theme of this photoshoot, nor did she take her endorsement seriously. She just wants to look pretty! This is complete chaos!"
Adeline had no words to respond to Daphne's statement because Adeline had just witnessed it all.
Eleanor indeed completely disregarded Daphne's opinions.
To be honest, anyone encountering such a disrespectful collaborator would be furious.
"I understand," Harrison said. "Thank you for your hard work. I'll talk to her and make sure she cooperates well with you."
Daphne sighed and said, "If it weren't for the fact that we were classmates, I wouldn't have come to shoot photos for Eleanor. To be honest, in my opinion, she's not qualified for me to shoot."
She said this very arrogantly, but as a world-renowned photographer, she did have the capital to be arrogant.
"Let's have dinner together tonight," Harrison said. "I've invited Sam."
Sam grew up with Harrison since childhood and, of course, also knew Daphne.
"Okay, I contacted Sam a few days ago," Daphne said with a smile. "I heard a little secret from him about you."
Harrison's expression changed instantly, and he glanced nervously at Adeline.
Then he said to Daphne, "Don't talk nonsense”
"Alright, I won't." Daphne shrugged.
She held Adeline's hand and said, "Ms. Hensley, although it's sudden, I still want to ask you if you would like to be my model. Honestly, when I saw you in person for the first time just now, I was captivated by you. Of course, not that kind of captivated. Don't misunderstand me. My sexual orientation is normal."
Adeline twitched her mouth, feeling amused and helpless.
"I seem to have found a certain feeling in you. I can't explain exactly what it is, but I have a premonition that if you are willing to be my model, I can definitely shoot a series of photos that I have in my mind!"
As Daphne spoke, a look of intoxication appeared on her face.
Harrison looked at the tightly held hands of the two, his face darkened.
He grabbed Adeline's wrist and pulled her to his side, saying to Daphne, "You've worked hard. Go rest. The lounge is ready for you."
"Oh, we're both women..."
Daphne wanted to continue communicating with Adeline, but when she saw Harrison's dark face, she couldn't help but shiver and quickly asked.
"Well, where is my lounge?"
"I'll have someone take you there," Harrison said.
After saying this, a staff member immediately came forward and took Daphne to her lounge.
Adeline lowered her eyes and saw Harrison still holding her wrist.
She could feel the warmth of his palm.
She tried hard to ignore the strange feeling in her heart and said calmly, "Mr. Thomson, let me go talk to Ms. Vaughn again."
It was impossible for her to talk to Eleanor again.
She could handle official matters, but Eleanor: might not be willing.
So she could only go talk to Daphne.
"No need," Harrison said in an indifferent tone.
"I'll handle this matter. Come with me."
With that, he let go of Adeline's wrist and walked out of the studio.
Adeline thought he had some work to assign to her and quickly followed.
But after arriving at Harrison's office, he directly led her into the lounge.
"Mr. Thomson?" Adeline looked at him puzzled.
"Rest here for a while," Harrison said expressionlessly. "You can lock the door from the inside. No one will disturb you."
Hearing this, Adeline was even more surprised.
"Let me rest here?"
"Yes, you haven't been sleeping well, have you?" Harrison said, "You have dark circles under your eyes."
Adeline couldn't help but laugh at his teasing.
"It's not that exaggerated...”
"If you're sleepy, just sleep. If you're not energetic, it might affect your work," Harrison said.
Adeline wanted to say that she wouldn't let her work be affected in any way, but looking at Harrison, she didn't say anything and just nodded slightly.
