One night stand with my president(chapter 158)

Chapter 158: So Afraid of You, Harrison

"What are you thinking about?" Adeline couldn't help but ask when she saw Harrison lost in thought.

"I'm thinking about which hotel to move to,"

Harrison said seriously.

Adeline chuckled, "Is that really necessary?"

Did they really have to change a hotel just because of Russell?

"It's very necessary." Harrison's tone became more determined.

He absolutely couldn't let Adeline have any unnecessary contact with Russell.

After all, he could see through Russell's intentions clearly.

Adeline sighed helplessly but could only let him be.

If changing hotels would make him feel more secure, then so be it.

To her, it didn't matter which hotel they stayed at.

"Let's go to the hospital," Harrison said, getting up.

"Okay."

By now, Ronan was awake and having breakfast.

Milania had slept late last night but woke up early to personally buy Ronan's breakfast.

She even wanted to feed Ronan herself but he firmly refused.

"Mom, my injury is in my leg, not my arm. I can eat by myself," he insisted.

"But they hit you so hard. Doesn't your arm hurt too?"

"It's fine, just some superficial wounds."

Ronan insisted, leaving Milania no choice but to sit beside him and watch.

Just as he finished breakfast, Harrison and Adeline arrived.

"Adeline!"

Ronan's eyes lit up when he saw her.

But upon seeing Harrison, he quickly corrected himself. "Ms. Hensley... Harrison, you've come to see me."

Adeline nodded and greeted Milania as well.

"Ms. Barrera."

Milania came over, taking Adeline's hand and leading her to the bedside with a smile. "Ms. Hensley, you're so considerate to come see my irresponsible son."

"Ms. Barrera, please don't say that. I heard Mr. Ronan got into a conflict with those people just to save a girl," Adeline said.

She genuinely admired Ronan for that.

"He's always been honest and kind-hearted since he was young," Milania said.

While they talked, she had already led Adeline to the bed.

Ronan was visibly happy. If not for the cast on his leg, he would have jumped out of bed.

"Mr. Ronan, take good care of yourself, and don't worry about your family," Adeline said.

"I will." Ronan nodded. "Ms. Hensley, thank you for coming to see me."

On her way here, Adeline had even bought flowers and fruits, though Harrison was holding them.

Harrison placed the flowers and fruits aside and said to Adeline, "It's time to go."

"Huh?" Ronan protested, "You're leaving just after arriving?"

"Yeah, why not stay a bit longer?" Milania suggested.

"No, we have things to do," Harrison said.

Milania didn't press further, but Ronan wasn't pleased.

"Didn't everything here finish up? What else could there be?" Ronan muttered.

Harrison gave him a cool glance that immediately silenced him.

Milania noticed everything.

She said, "Since you have matters to attend to, I won't keep you. Take care on the way."

After bidding farewell to Milania and Ronan, Adeline and Harrison left.

Milania poured a glass of water for Ronan and handed it to him.

Ronan looked dejected.

He was happy that Adeline came to see him, but she left so quickly.

"Are you so afraid of Harrison?" Milania suddenly asked.

Ronan didn't notice Milania's unusual tone. After taking a sip of water, he smiled bitterly and said,"Who wouldn't be afraid of him? Among the family members my age, who isn't afraid of him? Even some of the elders are wary of him."

Milania sighed, saying, "You really have no backbone."

"Huh?" Ronan didn't understand. "What's

wrong?"

"Nothing, just drink your water."

Neither Adeline nor Harrison expected that as soon as they reached the entrance, they would bump into Myra, who had just come in.

And behind her was the obedient Amber.

"Mom?" Harrison frowned slightly and said, "Why are you here?"

She even brought Amber along.

Since when did she know Amber?

"What, can't I come to Marifort City?"

Myra's cold gaze swept over Adeline as she said, "I heard Ronan got injured. Your grandfather was so worried that he wanted to come in person, but I was concerned about his health and the inconvenience of travel. Your uncle is too busy

with the branch, so I came instead."

Though her reasons sounded reasonable, both Harrison and Adeline knew Myra came because she knew they were together now, and that was why she hurried here.

Amber timidly said, "Hello, Mr. Thomson, Ms.

Hensley."

"Why did you bring her here?" Harrison asked curtly.

At the sight of Amber, he couldn't help but recall that night and felt a bit nauseous.

"I heard she was specially approved by you to work in the CEO's office, and you treat her differently, so I brought her over."

Myra raised an eyebrow. "What, don't you like it?"

Harrison replied calmly, "Mom, as you know, l don't appreciate others making decisions about who's around me."

"But l'm your mother, not just anyone."

Before Harrison could say anything, Myra turned to Adeline, saying meaningfully, "Ms. Hensley, I've never been here before. I don't know how to get to Ronan's ward. Could you show me?"

Adeline knew Myra was being deliberate.

She also guessed why Myra brought Amber along.

Myra's eyes, neither she nor Amber were worthy of the Thomson family.

But she felt Amber was easier to control.

If Myra could use Amber to push her out, it would be simpler to deal with Amber later.

Before Adeline could respond, Harrison interjected, "If that's the case, I'll take you."

Myra frowned at him.

Harrison met her gaze unflinchingly.

Eventually, Myra compromised. "Fine, you take me."

As long as Harrison and Adeline weren't together, it was acceptable.

Myra glanced at Adeline with a meaningful look before saying, "Ms. Hensley, please arrange Ms. Lawson's accommodation. After all, her status is quite unique."

Adeline smiled faintly and said, "Of course, Mrs. Thomson."

Apparently, she didn't see the expression she wanted from Adeline, Myra's eyes darkened briefly before she turned and left.

Harrison exchanged a glance with Adeline and followed suit.

"Ms. Hensley, sorry, Mrs. Thomson insisted on coming with me. I couldn't do anything about it," Amber apologized softly.
