One night stand with my president(chapter 151)

Chapter 151: He Has a Poker Face

The man tilted his head and smiled at Adeline.

"Miss, could you do me a favor? Just give me your contact info. We're just playing a game.

If you don't help, I'll have to drink three bottles of beer," the man said.

Adeline frowned slightly, feeling very disgusted.

Wasn't this just emotional blackmail?

Using the excuse of a game to force unrelated people to agree to all kinds of demands.

If it were something simple, it would be one thing.

But contact information was a rather private matter.

He wanted Adeline's privacy just by saying it was a game.

"Sorry, I can't give it to you," Adeline said.

"Hey, don't be like that. Just give me your contact info," the man persisted.

"Get out," Harrison said coldly, his expression already showing a hint of anger.

"Hey, I'm talking to the lady here. What's it got to do with you? Are you her boyfriend? Even if you are, we're just playing a game. Can't you handle that?"

"A game?" Harrison sneered, "To me, it looks like you're using the game as an excuse to harass her."

Hearing this, the man looked a bit embarrassed.

The man said, "How could you think like that? You..."

He stammered for a moment, not knowing what to say, and could only turn to his buddies sitting at the table for help.

Seeing the situation turning sour, his buddies also stood up and walked over.

"What's going on? Just asking for a contact number. Is it worth this much fuss?" one man said gruffly.

"They won't give it.”

"Why not? It's just a game! We're not leaving without this lady's contact info. If we don't get it, well..."

These men practically surrounded Harrison and Adeline.

Some glared menacingly at Harrison, while others looked lecherously at Adeline.

Harrison wanted to gouge their eyes out.

"Hey, what are you guys doing? Don't start a fight here!" the barbecue stall owner said anxiously.

He was afraid that they wrecked his stall.

The night market had security to maintain order, but they couldn't be everywhere all the time. Just as the barbecue stall owner was panicking, a group of burly men suddenly appeared out of nowhere and quickly subdued the troublemakers, covering their mouths and dragging them away.

The nearby people gasped in surprise.

But those burly men moved so quickly that they had already dragged the troublemakers out of sight before most people realized what was happening.

Many people saw that the troublemakers had started it, so they didn't think badly of Harrison and Adeline. Instead, they felt a sense of satisfaction.

"That's awesome, like a movie."

"Who are those two? They're so good-looking. Are they celebrities?"

"No way, I follow celebrities closely. If there were such good-looking stars, I'd know."

"If they're not celebrities, why would they have bodyguards?"

"It's not just celebrities who have bodyguards. Rich people do too."

"I get it. Just looking at that guy, you can tell he's rich."

Indeed, even though Harrison had two cups of coffee in hand, his aura of nobility was unmistakable.

"Enough talk. Let's keep browsing."

The night market was crowded and lively, so this episode was only talked about for a short while before people dispersed.

The barbecue stall owner had finished grilling Adeline's skewers and nervously handed them over.

The owner said, "Here are your skewers. No need to pay."

"How can that be?" Adeline said with a wry smile,"We're not freeloaders. We're not bad people."

The owner glanced nervously at Harrison again.

Adeline knew the owner was scared of Harrison, so she gently nudged him and whispered, "Smile a bit, don't look so stern."

Harrison was speechless.

Forcing him to smile at strangers was hard.

Adeline realized this too.

So she didn't push Harrison further.

She said to the owner, "Don't be scared.

We're not bad people. Those guys were harassing us first. How much is it? I'll pay."

When Adeline wanted to be friendly, she could be very amiable.

The owner relaxed a bit, stated the price, and Adeline paid it.

After paying, the owner whispered to her, "Is he your boyfriend? He looks so intimidating."

In fact, many people didn't smile often, but it was Harrison's intimidating aura that scared people.

Adeline couldn't help but chuckle. She whispered to the owner, "Don't worry. He's actually very nice, just has a bit of a poker face. I'll take him to the hospital to treat it someday."

The owner suddenly understood.

The owner thought, "No wonder he never smiled. He has a poker face!"

What a pity for such a handsome face!

As Harrison was about to leave, he noticed the owner looking at him with a very sympathetic expression.

Harrison was confused.

He glanced at Adeline, who was chuckling, and understood.

After they left the barbecue stall, Harrison asked,"What did you just tell the stall owner?"

"I didn't say anything," Adeline said calmly while unwrapping the skewers.

"Still lying?" Harrison's mouth twitched. "I heard you talking."

"If you heard, why ask me?" Adeline said with a mischievous smile, "So, what did I say?"

Harrison pursed his lips, saying nothing.

Adeline tilted her head and said, "Can't say? | knew you were just bluffing."

Harrison took a deep breath.

If his hands weren't full, he would have loved to pinch Adeline's cheeks.

But he couldn't.

He was responsible for carrying things, and Adeline was responsible for eating skewers.

Adeline originally wanted to feed him a skewer, but after those men interrupted earlier, she forgot to tell the stall owner not to add chili.

Harrison could eat spicy food, but he wasn't fond of chili powder.

After finishing the skewers and disposing of the trash, Adeline took out a tissue to wipe her mouth and said to Harrison, "Give me my coffee."

Harrison was about to hand it to her but then hesitated, frowning slightly.

"What's the matter?"

"I don't remember which one is yours,"

Harrison admitted.

He wasn't lying. He had been holding two identical cups of coffee, and after the incident with those men, he had switched hands while helping Adeline carry things...

So now he genuinely didn't remember.
