Chapter 179 : Unspoken Love
Harrison's expression immediately darkened.
"What?"
"See for yourself." Sam handed him the phone.
Harrison took it and saw Joyce's post on her
Instagram.
The woman in the photo had bright eyes and white teeth, dressed in a red dress with softly. curled hair cascading down her back.
The neckline of her dress wasn't particularly low, but it revealed her delicate collarbones.
Harrison's eyes grew increasingly somber.
Sam clicked his tongue and said, "Harrison, I'm not trying to scare you, but with all my years of experience in bars, I can tell you that there are probably a lot of men hitting on Ms. Hensley right now."
The more Sam spoke, the darker Harrison's face became.
"So, what are you going to do? Just sit here and watch?" Sam teased.
Harrison didn't answer him.
He quickly glanced at the location tagged in the post, grabbed his coat, and stood up, striding out the door.
"Harrison, you're going to storm in there? Wait for me!" Sam called after him.
In the bar, Adeline and Joyce were drinking and chatting.
They had started with low-alcohol fruit drinks, but Joyce's friend brought over two special cocktails.
The cocktails didn't seem strong at first, almost like juice, but they packed a punch afterward.
Adeline's cheeks were already tinged with red.
"Adeline, what do you think? My friend's cocktail is pretty good, right?" Joyce was also feeling a bit tipsy.
"It's good," Adeline said, holding her glass.
"I think I'd like another."
"Let me tell my friend."
Joyce waved over the man behind the bar, who was busy mixing drinks.
The man smiled and brought over two more cocktails.
"So, how do you like my special mix, ladies?" he asked.
"It's delicious," Joyce laughed, patting him on the shoulder. "I always knew you had a knack for this."
The man was Callan Crawford, a former colleague of Joyce's.
He had a gentle demeanor, always wearing a slight smile when he spoke, and he was a true gentleman.
If anyone dared cause trouble or harass women in his bar, he would unhesitatingly throw them out.
"I'm glad you like it," Callan said, his eyes filled with a warmth that seemed almost impossible to ignore.
He placed the two special cocktails in front of Adeline and Joyce.
"Try this one," Callan said. "I just came up with it recently. I call it 'Unspoken Love.'
The name made Adeline's heart skip a beat.
She couldn't resist picking up her glass and gently swirling the drink.
The liquid inside shimmered faintly under the light.
"This drink might hit you harder after a while, so take less," Callan advised. "But don't worry. You won't wake up with a headache or feel unwell."
Joyce waved off his concern and said, "Don't worry about us. Adeline and I can hold our liquor."
Callan smiled helplessly and said, "I'll take you both home later."
"No need, and we'll just grab a cab."
Adeline brought the glass to her lips and took a sip.
At first, it tasted slightly sweet.
But then, there was a hint of bitterness.
The mix of sweet and bitter was surprisingly addictive.
"Unspoken Love..." Adeline murmured softly.
When Harrison entered the bar, he immediately spotted Adeline sitting at a table.
Her cheeks were flushed, and she lightly tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. Every movement was filled with charm, though she seemed unaware of it.
Many men in the bar couldn't help but steal glances at her.
Harrison's jealousy flared up.
He quickly strode over to Adeline.
Adeline was about to take another sip of her drink when suddenly, someone grabbed her wrist.
