One night stand with my president(chapter 152)

 Chapter 152: Feed Me

Harrison's memory was excellent, usually having the ability to remember everything at a glance.

But just now, walking around with Adeline, he had inevitably relaxed, and since he hadn't paid attention to the two cups of coffee, he couldn't tell them apart now.

"Um.." Adeline didn't know what to do.

The two cups of coffee were identical, and the remaining amount was almost the same.

Who could tell them apart?

"How about we buy two more cups?" Adeline suggested.

Harrison frowned slightly and said, "That would be too wasteful."

"Then... Should we go to another stall and buy two straws?"

Before Harrison could say anything, Adeline had already found a nearby stall.

This stall sold various beverages in cups, so they naturally had straws.

She bought two straws from the vendor and replaced the used ones.

"Now it's fine."

Adeline took one cup of coffee and drank a couple of sips.

Actually, she felt a strange sensation inside.

But Adeline didn't mind. After drinking a few sips, she asked Harrison, "You haven't eaten much. You must be hungry. What do you want to eat?"

"You pick something for me."

After Harrison finished speaking, he also drank a few sips of coffee.

Although the straws had been changed, just thinking that this cup might be the one Adeline drank from made him feel a peculiar sensation.

"Want to try the fried chicken pieces over there?"

Adeline's voice suddenly rang out.

Harrison snapped back to reality.

"Sure," he said.

He wouldn't refuse anything Adeline recommended.

After a while, Adeline came back with some fried chicken pieces.

"Got them. Eat while they're hot," Adeline said.

Harrison was still holding his coffee.

He said calmly, "My hands are full. It’s inconvenient."

"Then give me your coffee, and I'll hold it for you."

"What if we mix them up again?" Harrison said.

Adeline thought about it and realized he was right.

Harrison took the box of fried chicken pieces with his other hand.

"You can feed me."

"What?" Adeline was stunned.

Harrison said, "We both only have one free hand now. This is the most suitable way, isn't it?"

"Yeah..."

Adeline used her free hand to open the box of fried chicken pieces, then picked up a piece with a skewer and fed it to Harrison.

She felt her face getting a bit hot.

Harrison's expression remained unchanged.

But no one noticed that the area behind his ears quietly turned red.

These chicken pieces were small, just a bite each.

They were all gone in no time.

"How does it taste?" Adeline asked curiously.

"Not bad."

There was a bit of oil on Harrison's lips.

Adeline took out a tissue and instinctively wiped it off for him.

After she finished, she realized he was

gazing at her intently.

Adeline's face suddenly turned red.

She stammered, "You had some dirt at the corner of your mouth."

"Yes, I know," Harrison said with a smile.

Adeline's heart was pounding, but she pretended to be calm and said, "There seem to be many more stalls over there. Let's go take a look?"

"Okay."

The night market was indeed large, and they wandered around for more than two hours without finishing.

However, they were both full by then, so they headed home.

In the car on the way back, Adeline felt a bit drowsy.

But then, her phone suddenly rang, startling her awake.

Harrison, who was driving, frowned slightly.

Who would call her at this hour?

Adeline checked her phone and saw that it was a call from Joyce.

"What's up, Joyce?" she asked groggily.

"Adeline, have you heard? Kaylie went abroad!"

"What?" Adeline was instantly awake.

"When did that happen?"

"I just heard it from a colleague. You know how some people in our line of work have very quick information." Joyce said, "I heard Kaylie did something that made her dad furious, and he sent her abroad to some very remote and backward place! She probably won't come back for the rest of her life!"

Hearing this, Adeline wasn't sure if she felt relieved, but she did feel a sense of ease.

From the moment Kaylie appeared in front of her, she had been constantly targeting Adeline.

This time, Kaylie was likely the mastermind behind Millie's attempt to harm her.

Now that Kaylie was finally gone, Adeline had one less person to constantly guard against.

"Adeline, you're close to Mr. Thomson. Didn't you hear about this?"

Adeline said, "I've been in Marifort City these past two days."

"Oh, that makes sense. Can you ask Mr. Thomson what exactly Kaylie did to make her dad so angry? I'm dying to know!" Kaylie said.

Adeline glanced at Harrison, who was driving, and said, "I'll tell you when I get back."

After hanging up, Adeline asked, "Did you know about Kaylie?"

"Yes," Harrison responded calmly.

"Did you do it?"

Although it was a question, Adeline was almost certain.

"I had someone investigate," Harrison said.

"Starting from Kaylie's friends, it was easy to find out. The mastermind behind the attempt to harm you was indeed Kaylie."

When he said this, Harrison's voice was very

cold.

Adeline's fingers tightened slightly.

It was as expected.

There was no way Millie could have done it alone.

So, the person who wanted to use banned drugs to ruin her life was Kaylie.

If she hadn't been wary of Millie, if Lauren hadn't told her what those men said, if she had walked into Kaylie's trap, Adeline would probably be in trouble.

"How did you get Kaylie's father to send her away?" Adeline asked.

"Very simple," Harrison said. "I sent him a video and told him that Kaylie had offended me. That old man is a profit-driven person.

He wouldn't give up his wealth and status for Kaylie."

"What video?" Adeline asked curiously.

Harrison said, "Kaylie tried to drug me. I couldn't let her get away with it," Harrison said with a cold smile. "Since she likes using drugs so much, I let her taste what it's like to be drugged. Of course, I didn't actually drug her, just hinted at it, and she scared herself silly."

Harrison didn't specify what the video content was, but since he mentioned these things, Adeline could roughly guess.

She thought to herself that the dumbest thing Kaylie did in her life was trying to scheme against Harrison.

Harrison continued, "Don't worry. Even if her father softens in the future, with me here, Kaylie won't be able to return from abroad." Harrison said,"And I'll make sure she's well taken care of out there."

  1. Really interesting how the women ralling around Harrison all have one thing or the other withholding their evil plot in getting Adeline out of the way . Too bad they all fell off through Harrison, who they thought would be for them after. Thumbs up for Adeline baby cause she knows her way around Harrison which no other woman can .
