Chapter 156: It’s All for You
Milania wiped her eyes and said, "If I had known, I wouldn't have let you have your way and come over here. Harrison and Ms. Hensley came here for business. What are you meddling for?"
These words pierced Ronan's heart.
But he knew his mother was worried about his injury, so he just said sullenly, "Got it, I'll go home as soon as the doctor says I can be discharged."
"You should rest a bit longer. Bone and muscle injuries are no small matter," Milania said with concern.
"Okay. By the way, Mom, how did you get here so quickly?" Ronan asked.
"I was worried about you. You didn't answer my calls, so I called your bodyguard, and that's how I found out you got into a fight. I rushed over as soon as I hung up."
This was her son, so how could she not worry?
Milania even begged Lorenzo to arrange a private jet.
"Such a blabbermouth!" Ronan said helplessly.
"You blame others? What, were you not planning to tell me about your injury?"
Ronan guiltily averted his eyes.
Milania stroked his face, then turned and looked at Harrison, who was leaning against the wall, looking at his phone.
"Harrison," Milania smiled, "we owe it to you. If you hadn't been here, I don't know how much Ronan would have suffered. Thank you."
"It's fine," Harrison said calmly. "He's my brother."
This statement moved Ronan deeply.
Milania also had a smile on her face, but she didn't feel happy.
"I'll stay here with Ronan. Harrison, you must have been tired these past few days. Go back to the hotel and rest," Milania said.
Harrison glanced at Ronan, put away his phone, and said, "If anything happens, call me anytime."
"Sure, don't worry," Ronan said.
After Harrison left, Ronan yawned, feeling sleepy.
"Already sleepy? Aren't you hungry? Don't you want to eat something?" Milania asked.
"No, Mom, I'm tired. I want to sleep."
Just then, there was a sudden knock on the door of the ward.
"Did Harrison forget something?" Ronan asked sleepily.
Milania thought the same.
She walked to the door of the ward and opened it.
But when she saw the person at the door, her expression changed. She didn't let the person in but quickly stepped out, closed the ward door, and pushed the person into the emergency exit.
"Are you crazy!" Milania said angrily, "Who told you to come here?"
"You came to Marifort City. Of course, I had to come see you."
The man was a tall, muscular middle-aged man with a long scar on his right cheek.
It was clear he must have been quite handsome when he was younger, but now, because of the scar, he looked fierce and menacing.
After speaking, the man hugged Milania tightly, burying his face in her neck with a look of intoxication.
"Your scent... I really miss it," the man said.
Milania endured the discomfort and let the man hold her for a while, then gently pushed him away.
"But you can't just come to my son's ward directly. What if someone sees you?" Milania said.
"Just say I'm your friend. Won't that work?" the man said grimly, "Honey, l've done so much for you. When you see me, you don't even praise me. Instead, you scold me right away?"
Seeing that the man was getting angry, Milania quickly softened her tone to soothe him
"I'm doing this for your sake, don't you see? If the Thomson family finds out about us, do you think they'll let you go? What would I do if I lost you?"
Hearing this, the man cheered up.
"I knew it. You must love me."
Milania nervously glanced back.
Although it was already very late, she was still afraid someone might come.
If discovered, she would face utter ruin.
"Of course I love you," Milania said perfunctorily, "but this isn't the place to talk.
Can you leave first? While I'm in Marifort City, I'll make time to meet you."
"Really? You can't lie to me."
"Don't worry, I won't lie to you."
"You've lied to me before..." the man said.
"I absolutely won't this time. Please leave first, Okay?"
Milania coaxed the man for a while before he finally left, reluctantly.
Once the man was completely out of sight, Milania's face immediately turned cold.
If it weren't for the fact that this man was still useful, she would have dealt with him.
After calming down for a while, she returned to the ward.
Ronan, though very tired, stayed awake, wondering about the knock on the door and why Milania suddenly went out.
"Mom, who was that just now? Why did you go out?"
Milania smiled and said, "It was nothing, just a doctor. He was going to another ward and got lost, so l asked him about your condition."
"I see."
Knowing there was nothing to worry about, Ronan closed his eyes and soon fell asleep.
Milania sat by the bed, looking at him, murmuring softly, "Son, everything I do is for you..."
Adeline already knew Ronan was in the hospital.
She wanted to visit but Harrison didn't tell her which hospital, saying it was too late and she could go tomorrow.
She had to temporarily give up the idea.
Ronan wasn't seriously injured, and Harrison was fine, so her mind was at ease.
But she still wanted to wait for Harrison to return to the hotel before sleeping.
Georgia had been by her side all along.
Adeline said to her, "You should go rest first."
But Georgia firmly refused.
"Mr. Thomson didn't say I could leave your side."
Adeline was helpless. It was already very late, and while she could stay up, she couldn't let Georgia stay up with her.
So she said, "Don't worry, if Mr. Thomson blames anyone, I'll take the blame."
"No way," Georgia said. "I made the mistake myself. Why should you take the blame?"
Adeline was speechless.
She really had no way to deal with Georgia.
At this time, Harrison's car had already stopped at the hotel entrance.
As soon as he got out of the car, a few people hurriedly approached.
"Mr. Thomson..."
These people were from the Mclean family.
They already knew about the trouble Tommy had caused.
But Harrison had ordered that no Mclean family members were to go to the hospital to avoid disturbing Ronan, so they had to wait at Harrison's hotel.
Now, each of them wanted to beat Tommy.
Of all people to offend, he had to offend Harrison. Tommy was such an idiot!
Harrison was already tired, intending to see Adeline and then go to sleep. But these people showed up, which made him very annoyed.
"If you have something to say, say it tomorrow," he said impatiently.
“Mr. Thomson, it's our fault for not managing our family members well. Please be generous..."
