Chapter 172: She Is Wrong
Eleanor was extremely agitated.
If she could be with Harrison, she would now be his wife, and no one would dare to shout at her.
Just then, her assistant rushed in and whispered, "Ms. Fraser, Mr. Thomson is here."
As soon as Eleanor heard Harrison was here, she immediately concealed the ferocity on her face and sat pitifully in the chair.
When Harrison walked in, she looked up at him with tear-filled eyes.
"Harrison..."
However, Harrison's gaze was indifferent.
"Eleanor, I thought you were a very professional person."
Eleanor's heart skipped a beat.
She said in a hurt voice, "Harrison, are you
blaming me too? Maybe I'm just not in the best shape today, but Daphne's attitude was terrifying. I wanted to communicate with her properly, but she started scolding me right away. I didn't know what to say... And Ms. Hensley was there, but she didn't even try to mediate."
"Fine, then you don't need to communicate with her anymore," Harrison said.
Eleanor couldn't quite grasp the meaning behind Harrison's words and looked at him in confusion.
"From now on, during the photoshoot, just do whatever she says."
"What?" Eleanor was shocked. "You want me to listen to everything she says? Harrison, do you think I'm wrong? I've taken plenty of photos and done numerous advertisements over the years.
I'm not completely inexperienced..."
"I know very well who is right between you two," Harrison said coldly. "And this has nothing to do with Ms. Hensley. You better not drag her into this."
Eleanor's hands began to tremble uncontrollably.
His attitude was very clear, siding with Daphne and protecting Adeline.
In his eyes, Eleanor was the only one who was wrong.
"Eleanor, I know you've been quite popular in recent years, and no matter what you do, people always cater to you. But now that you're working with the Thomson Group, you need to show some respect. I won't shortchange you on the benefits you're entitled to."
Eleanor said, "Benefits? Is that all I mean to you?"
"Then why did you agree to the collaboration in the first place?"
Eleanor had no response to that.
After all, she was the one who agreed to the collaboration.
And despite what she said, Eleanor still very much needed the benefits that the Thomson Group could offer her.
"Harrison, can't you stand by me just this once?"
Eleanor's voice was full of pain.
"If you were right, I wouldn't make things difficult for you on purpose," Harrison said coldly. "And in the future, don't call me by my first name. You can call me by my full name." Eleanor's body shook violently.
Now, he was even stripping her of the right to call him "Harrison."
Eleanor thought, "Why is he being so cruel to me?"
"Harrison, you can't just hurt me like this because you know I like you," she said.
Harrison didn't understand how he was hurting her.
Did that mean he was guilty of not liking her just because she liked him? Was he guilty of wanting her to take her work seriously?
But Harrison didn't want to argue with Eleanor about these things.
"If you don't want to shoot today, I can give you another day. You can continue tomorrow,"
Harrison said. "But if you still can't take your work seriously, then there's no point in continuing this collaboration."
Eleanor felt a sharp pain in her heart.
But at this point, she had no choice but to push through.
"No need. I can continue shooting in a bit," Eleanor said, forcing herself to be strong. "I'll show you my work attitude."
She couldn't wait until tomorrow. That would mean she had admitted defeat and was running away.
"You said it yourself. I hope you don't forget it."
After saying that, Harrison turned and left.
After he left, Eleanor finally lost control of her temper. She grabbed a glass on the side and smashed it on the floor.
The glass shattered into pieces, with shards scattering everywhere.
Her assistant was terrified and quickly backed away.
"Why are you hiding?" Eleanor shouted angrily.
"What, do you despise me too now?"
The assistant quickly shook her head and said, "No, I don't. I was just afraid the shards would hit me...”
Eleanor sneered, "Really? Then come over here."
The assistant, unsure of what she wanted, nervously walked up to her.
"Pick up a shard of glass from the floor and give it to me."
The assistant shuddered.
"Ms. Fraser..."
"Pick it up."
The assistant was so afraid of her that she didn't dare disobey and could only bend down to carefully pick up a shard of glass and hand it to Eleanor.
Eleanor took the sharp piece of glass in one hand and grabbed the assistant's arm with the other, slashing a deep cut across her arm.
The assistant screamed in pain, breaking out in a cold sweat.
"Ms. Fraser, please spare me..."
Hearing her assistant beg for mercy only made Eleanor more excited. She slashed two more cuts across the assistant's arm before stopping.
The assistant was in so much pain that she was panting heavily, with tears streaming down her face.
But Eleanor felt no remorse, saying disdainfully, "If you want to cry, go cry somewhere else. Don't get in my way."
A strong hatred erupted in the assistant's eyes.
She wanted to strangle this vicious woman to death.
But when she thought of her family, she didn't dare to do anything and could only silently step aside.
"Do whatever you want with the wounds, but if you dare tell anyone about this..." Eleanor narrowed her eyes dangerously and continued, "The consequences will be more than you can handle."
"Yes, Ms. Fraser..." the assistant said bitterly. "I won’t tell anyone. Don’t worry “
………
When Adeline woke up, it was already past five in the afternoon.
She quickly sat up.
She remembered setting an alarm for half past three before she fell asleep.
Adeline thought, "How did I sleep until now?
Why didn't the alarm go off?"
Adeline thought for a moment and understood.
Most likely, Harrison had come in and turned off her alarm.
Although Harrison said she could lock the door, she figured no one would dare enter his office, so she hadn't locked it.
She wondered how the photoshoot was going.
Adeline wasn't concerned about Eleanor but rather about the Thomson Group.
If they couldn't get the photos of the
spokesperson, all the projects would be delayed, and the staff would have a hard time.
Adeline quickly got up, freshened up in the bathroom, and then left Harrison's office to head to the photoshoot studio.
