Chapter 171: Serving Ms. Hensley
Harrison's expression softened slightly when he saw her nod.
"No need to set an alarm; sleep as long as you want," he added. "If anything comes up, li come and get you."
Adeline said, "But I still need to take photos later..."
"I'll have others watch over it, and if necessary, I will keep an eye on it myself."
Adeline thought that if Harrison could personally oversee it, Eleanor might behave better, and the photoshoot might go more smoothly.
"Alright."
Harrison seemed like he wanted to say something else.
But in the end, he left in silence.
Adeline lay down on the bed, feeling increasingly drowsy.
After all, she hadn't slept well last night, and she didn't get a nap at noon. Now, she was tired.
In her drowsy state, she noticed the wardrobe in the resting room and recalled the box she had seen in the corner of it before.
She had always assumed that the box must be related to Eleanor.
But now, seeing Harrison's attitude toward Eleanor, she suddenly felt that he might not have kept a gift from Eleanor all these years.
Adeline thought, "So, what is the story behind that box and what was inside it?"
Adeline really wanted to know.
But she couldn't just go through someone else's things, especially after Harrison had explicitly told her not to touch that wardrobe.
Adeline took a deep breath, suppressing the urge to open the wardrobe, turned over, and soon fell asleep.
After leaving the office, Harrison headed to the photo studio.
He first walked to Daphne's resting room and lightly knocked.
"Come in."
Daphne was flirting with a few of her handsome assistants.
When she saw that it was Harrison who entered, she wanted to roll her eyes but didn't dare to.
Instead, she forced a smile and asked, "What brings you here? I thought it was Ms. Hensley."
"You've only met her once," Harrison said.
"Why do you like her so much?"
"It was our first meeting, but we hit it off immediately, can't we?" Daphne said provocatively. "What? Are you jealous?"
Harrison frowned and asked, "What exactly did Sam tell you?"
"Oh, he told me a lot," Daphne replied with a mischievous grin. "Is he wrong? Well, I happen to have so many handsome assistants. I could send Ms. Hensley over later and let her pick one.
Whoever she chooses can serve her tonight."
The handsome assistants' eyes lit up at this.
One of them said, "It would be an honor to serve a beautiful woman like Ms. Hensley."
"Alright, stop joking around. Otherwise, Mr.
Thomson might get mad."
Seeing Harrison's dark expression, Daphne quickly stopped her reckless behavior and gestured for her assistants to leave.
Daphne usually lived her life boldly, and she wasn't actually afraid of Harrison. However, she had noticed how much Harrison cared about Adeline, so it was best to stop the joke in time.
Now only the two of them remained in the room.
With a cold expression, Harrison said, "Keep your people away from Ms. Hensley."
"It seems you have turned into a jealous man."
Daphne's beautiful eyes widened slightly.
Harrison didn't reply, but from his demeanor, it was clear he didn't intend to deny it.
Daphne said, "Don't worry. I wouldn't let my people go so easily."
Harrison said with a hint of disdain, "After all
these years, your peculiar tastes haven't changed a bit."
"Loving beauty is human nature. How is it peculiar that I like handsome guys?" Daphne retorted, dissatisfied.
Daphne had been close to Harrison and Sam since elementary school, and they had stayed in touch even after graduation.
However, Daphne later became obsessed with photography, eventually becoming a world-renowned photographer, constantly traveling, so their contact gradually lessened.
Harrison remembered that Daphne had always liked handsome men from childhood.
But she never showed any interest in him or Sam.
Even though the two of them had always been among the most attractive, Daphne somehow managed to treat them as just friends.
Perhaps some people were destined to be just friends.
Harrison didn't want to discuss Daphne's
preferences any further, so he moved on to the main topic.
Harrison said, "Thank you for your hard work on this matter."
After all, he was the one who brought Daphne in, and she ended up being so upset.
At his words, Daphne's face darkened as she recalled what had just happened.
"Harrison, we've known each other for so many years, and I don't want to make things difficult for you," Daphne said. "But working with Eleanor is truly exhausting. By the way, I came across some gossip before. It said she was your first love, your unrequited love. Is that true?"
"That's not true," Harrison said calmly. "I haven't had unrequited love."
Daphne nodded knowingly. "I knew it. You wouldn't like someone like her. But, I disagree with you about not having experienced unrequited love.''
Harrison looked at her, puzzled.
"Maybe Ms. Hensley is your 'unrequited love"
Harrison was silent for a moment.
"Oh wait, that's not right. Ms. Hensley has always been with you, so in some sense, she's requited." As Daphne said this, Harrison's eyes gradually dimmed.
"What's wrong?" Daphne noticed something was off.
"Nothing," Harrison said. "I came here to talk about work, but you keep bringing up my personal life."
"Oh, come on, you're finally in love. How can I not gossip about it?"
Harrison rubbed his forehead, feeling a headache coming on.
He resolved to find an opportunity to give Sam a good beating for his big mouth.
"Alright, let's talk business. Harrison, we've known each other for so many years, so of course, I'll cooperate with you. As long as Eleanor cooperates and is willing to discuss things with me during the photoshoot, I'll continue working with her."
"Got it. Take a rest now. If you need anything, just ask for help."
After saying this, Harrison got up and left.
Daphne leaned back on the sofa, with a plate of strawberries beside her. She casually picked one up and tossed it into her mouth, her thoughts still on Adeline.
She thought it was wonderful. It had been a long time since she had encountered someone who could inspire her creativity like this.
Daphne was determined to have Adeline as her model.
Meanwhile, Eleanor was sitting in her dressing room, her face dark with anger.
Looking at her exquisitely made-up face in the mirror, she wanted to curse Daphne.
Eleanor thought, "I'm so beautiful, so why couldn't she photograph me well?"
She felt that Dahne was deliberatelv making
things difficult for her.
And she thought Adeline must have been enjoying the show from the sidelines.

Why won't Adeline be enjoying the show from the sidelines, when you brought it upon yourself.
