One night stand with my president(chapter 149)

Chapter 149: Unnecessary

"What do I have to say?" Adeline asked, puzzled.

"Playing with Ronan, very happy? Hmm?"

Adeline felt a bit awkward.

Why did Harrison care so much about this?

"You mean playing with him is more fun than playing with me, right?"

"I didn't say that." Adeline feigned ignorance.

"Did I say that?"

"Don't argue," Harrison said sternly. "Even if you didn't say it explicitly, that's what you meant."

"That's your interpretation, not what I intended to convey."

Taking advantage of the moment when he was amused by her, Adeline quickly pushed him away.

The sudden emptiness in his arms made Harrison feel uncomfortable.

Just as he was about to reach out and grab her again, he heard Adeline say, "Mr.

Thomson, you must not have had dinner yet after coming all this way. I haven't eaten either. Why don't we go out for something to eat? Or, if you're tired, we can have something delivered."

She was afraid that if they continued like this, she might end up doing something she shouldn't.

Besides, now that her mood had improved, she suddenly felt hungry.

Harrison was about to say they could discuss dinner later when he suddenly heard a growl.

It came from Adeline's stomach.

His mouth twitched, and he saw Adeline raise her hand to touch her stomach, sighing helplessly.

"Let's go eat," Harrison said.

Actually, he didn't feel very tired; he had just used it as an excuse to get inside.

"Wait a minute, I'll go get my coat," Adeline said.

"Wear something thick, it's cold outside,"

Harrison said.

"Got it."

When Adeline came back wearing her coat,

Harrison noticed it was the one they had bought together.

His eyes flickered slightly.

"Let's go," Adeline said.

"Hold on a second."

Harrison walked out of the room and then directly opened the door to the room across, entering it.

In fact, his room had already been arranged, right across from Adeline's, with his luggage inside.

After a while, Harrison came out of his own room.

Adeline saw that he had changed his coat.

He was now wearing the same coat as hers.

Her cheeks flushed slightly.

So Harrison could do something like this too?

But Harrison's expression remained normal, as if he had just changed into an ordinary coat.

"Let's go," he said as he walked to her side.

"Okay."

They walked to the elevator together.

Just as they reached the elevator door, it opened.

Inside was Ronan.

He was carrying some food and had a smile on his face.

However, as soon as he saw Harrison and Adeline, his smile disappeared.

He walked out of the elevator and asked in surprise, "Harrison, why are you in Marifort City again? Didn't you.."

Glancing at Adeline, he continued, "Didn't you go back to be with Eleanor?"

Harrison replied indifferently, "How is that any of your business?"

"It's not really, just..."

He had thought these few days would be his time with Adeline.

Although Adeline had clearly rejected him this afternoon, Ronan wasn't ready to give up.

After all, they were both single, so he still had a chance.

Just now, Ronan thought Adeline hadn't eaten dinner, so he went to buy her something to eat.

Unexpectedly, he came back to see Adeline with Harrison.

Harrison had just left last night, and now he was back in Marifort City. Wasn't he tired?

"Since it's not your business, don't ask," Harrison said. "Go back to your own room."

Ronan was a bit reluctant.

He also noticed the coats that Harrison and Adeline were wearing.

Actually, he had noticed it last night.

They were wearing matching coats.

But last night, he had consoled himself that it might just be a coincidence.

But today, they were wearing matching coats again.

It is clear that Adeline hadn't been wearing this coat this afternoon.

Ronan thought, "Were they really wearing couple's outfits?"

Ronan felt a dull ache in his heart.

The food he had bought probably wasn't needed anymore.

They were definitely going out to eat.

"Then I'll go back to my room," Ronan said dejectedly.

Seeing his pitiful look, Adeline felt a bit guilty.

She wanted to ask Ronan to join them for dinner, but she was afraid it would give him false hope, so she gave up.

After Ronan left, Adeline and Harrison got into the elevator together.

As the elevator doors closed, Adeline couldn't help but say, "He's your brother. Why are you always so cold to him?"

"Do you feel sorry for him?" Harrison asked with a sour expression.

"I just think he looks so pitiful," Adeline said.

"He told me he doesn't like feeling lonely. In high school, when no one would play with him, he had to be alone."

After she said this, Harrison suddenly laughed.

"Is that what he told you?"

Adeline didn't know why he was laughing but nodded anyway.

"In high school, he was always surrounded by people, with a bunch of followers and countless love letters from girls every day,"

Harrison said with a mocking smile. "You've known him for a while. Do you think someone like him would let himself be lonely?"

Adeline was at a loss for words.

That made sense.

With Ronan's personality, he was very social.

Even if others avoided him because of his family's wealth, he would find a way to resolve it.

She had been deceived by his pitiful appearance.

Adeline couldn't help but laugh.

Adeline said, "Honestly, even though he lied to me, I can't bring myself to dislike him."

As soon as she said this, she was met with Harrison's dangerous gaze.

She quickly added, "I just said I do see him. I

didn't say I liked him. To me, he's just a kid who just graduated."

"You see him as a kid, but he had ulterior motives," Harrison said.

Adeline remembered what Ronan had said to her this afternoon and thought Harrison was right.

"What's wrong?" Harrison asked, seeing her expression. "Did he say something to you?"

She was startled.

Harrison's observation skills were too sharp.

Just then, the elevator reached the ground floor.

Adeline walked out first, with Harrison following closely behind.

"What should we eat?" Adeline asked.

"You haven't answered my question," Harrison insisted. "Don't change the subject."

"He didn't say anything. You're overthinking."

Adeline felt that what Ronan had said was private, and that it would be disrespectful to reveal it.

Besides, she had already rejected Ronan, so there was no need to bring it up again.

But judging by Harrison's expression, he clearly didn't believe her.

  1. I don't know why Roman is finding it difficult to accept that Harrison is in love with Adeline
