One night stand with my president (chapter 163)

Chapter 163: Looks a lot like her

"To actually win over Myra, it seems you're quite capable," the person said.

Amber felt a bit awkward. In reality, she hadn't done anything. It was Myra who had approached her.

But naturally, she couldn't say that out loud.

Otherwise, the person on the phone might look down on her.

"To work for you, naturally I got some skills,"

Amber flattered.

But the person seemed indifferent to her flattery and asked coldly, "Any movements from Harrison's side?"

Amber thought for a moment and said, "So far, I haven't noticed anything."

"He didn't mention to you about the fire at the hotel he stayed at before?"

"No," Amber said, "He isn't in a good mood today."

"Hmm?"

Amber briefly explained the situation about Adeline and Russell.

"Because he saw Adeline getting out of Russell's car. His mood isn't good. He's about to leave Marifort City."

"So he really likes Adeline," the person on the phone chuckled darkly. "Good! When he likes someone, that becomes a major weakness."

Amber wasn't as pleased though.

"If Harrison really likes Adeline, then what should I do?" she lamented. "If he has someone in his heart, how can I get close to him? Will I forever remain a lowly employee in the office?"

"Do you think a man of Harrison's status and position can really have only one woman in his lifetime?"

Amber dared not speak. She didn't dare let this person know about her previous attempt to seduce Harrison and get kicked out.

"Moreover, even if he has someone in his heart, it won't stop him from getting intimate with other women. What, are you hoping for true love from him?" the person asked.

Amber hadn't thought about these things. All she wanted was money and a luxurious life.

"What should I do next?" Amber asked, "I'm about to leave Marifort City with them."

"Just stick close to Harrison honestly. Don't act rashly. If there's something you need to do, I'll contact you again."

"Got it."

After hanging up, Amber sighed deeply.

Truly, fortune favors the brave.

Doing these things could earn her wealth that she couldn't earn in several lifetimes, but the pressure was immense.

If one day her deeds were exposed and if

Harrison found out she wasn't the woman from that night but merely an impostor, how would he treat her?

Just thinking about it made Amber shiver.

But since she had chosen this path in the first place, there was no room for regret.

In the afternoon, Harrison left Marifort City by plane.

Myra and Amber left with him.

Adeline didn't book her own ticket.

Probably because of Harrison's "whatever she wants", Adeline hesitated for a long time when booking her ticket and finally decided to cancel it.

Moreover, Myra seemed to imply that she didn't want Adeline to go with them.

Adeline didn't want to argue with Myra.

But she still escorted them to the airport.

Amber provocatively smiled at her and said, "Ms. Hensley, enjoy yourself in Marifort City these few days. You're so busy with work. Having a long vacation isn't easy. Don't worry, with me around, nothing will happen to the CEO's office."

One might think Amber was a significant figure in the CEO's office.

Adeline chuckled. She was genuinely amused by Amber's comment and couldn't hold it in for a moment.

But in Amber's eyes, Adeline was deliberately mocking her.

She felt resentful.

Why did Adeline deserve such nobility?

By what?

Why did she get to be so high and mighty?

But Adeline had no interest in Amber's fragile and sensitive mind.

She looked at Harrison's back, her eyes slightly red.

On the way to the airport, he hadn't looked directly at her once.

Until now, he hadn't shown any intention of communicating with her.

Watching his figure enter the terminal, Adeline suppressed the bitterness in her heart and turned away.

So she didn't see Harrison stop, turn around, and look deeply at her.

Adeline booked herself a ticket for tomorrow.

She left the airport at dusk.

She gazed at the brilliant sunset in the sky, took a deep breath, and prepared to return to the hotel.

Just then, a car stopped nearby.

The driver got out first, went around to the back seat, and opened the door.

A tall young man got out of the car.

Originally, Adeline hadn't paid attention, just glanced over casually.

But when she saw the young man's face, she suddenly froze.

This man looked a lot like her.

Saying they were carved from the same mold might be a bit exaggerated, but if someone said they were siblings, others would definitely believe it.

But soon, Adeline bitterly smiled and shook her head.

It was absurd if she thought so.

Her mother only had her as a daughter.

Where would she get a brother?

It was normal for two people to look alike.

Adeline stopped thinking randomly and continued walking.

At this moment, the young man seemed to sense something and turned back as if instinctively.

"Sir, what are you looking at?" The young man paused.

He didn't know why he had turned back.

"Nothing. Let's go. The plane's delayed."

Adeline returned to the hotel and stayed there.

She didn't want to go out again, preparing to go to the airport tomorrow.

She ordered some takeout for dinner, but soon after placing the order, there was a knock on her door.

Adeline thought, "Was the takeout already here?" Adeline opened the door in confusion, only to see Georgia standing at the door.

"You didn't go back to Marifort City?"

"No," Georgia honestly replied. "Mr. Thomson asked me to stay and accompany you."

Adeline's heart suddenly filled with bitterness.

"Did he say anything else?" Adeline asked.

Georgia thought for a moment and said,

"Nothing else."

Actually, Georgia found it strange. Since Harrison was so reluctant to part with Adeline, why not let her return with them? There wasn't much to do in Marifort City now anyway.

But Georgia just thought about it. With her personality, she wouldn't meddle in this matter.

She just needed to execute Harrison's orders well.

Adeline sniffed and said, "Come in."

She stepped aside, letting Georgia into the room.

After Georgia entered the room, she stood upright beside the sofa.

"Have a seat," Adeline said.

"No need, I'll stand," Georgia said.

She had just finished speaking when she saw Adeline's eyes turn red, tears streaming down her face.

Georgia rarely felt flustered.

Just because she didn't sit, Adeline cried?
