One night stand with my president(chapter 140)

Chapter 140: Call Me by My Name

Everyone was startled.

Adeline turned around and saw a fierce-looking man clutching a wallet tightly, rushing towards them.

"Get out of the way! Move, or don't blame me for being rough!" he shouted at the people in line at the panda house.

The crowd screamed and scattered, but Harrison stood still, pulling Adeline behind him.

"Move! Are you looking to die?" the man yelled, pulling out a knife from somewhere.

Just then, several strong men suddenly rushed out, pinning the man to the ground and taking his knife.

The onlookers were stunned.

One of the strong men walked up to Harrison.

"Mr. Thomson, are you okay?"

"I'm fine," Harrison said calmly.

He then turned to Adeline, "Were you scared?"

"No." Adeline shook her head.

She knew there were people secretly protecting them.

After all, they had just experienced a hotel fire last night.

How could they not be cautious?

The thief, realizing he couldn't escape, stopped struggling and lay on the ground.

"Return the wallet to its owner," Harrison instructed his men, "and take this man to the police station."

"Yes, Mr. Thomson."

This incident caused many people in line at the panda house to leave.

After rejoining the line, there were only a few people in front of Harrison and Adeline.

Adeline's brow was furrowed tightly.

Harrison wanted to smooth it out but was afraid of offending her.

He suppressed the impulse and asked,

"Do you think that thief wasn't a random encounter?"

"How did you know?" Adeline looked at him in surprise. "Do you have mind-reading skills?"

Harrison smiled and said, "I could tell by your expression, and I was suspicious too."

Adeline irritably ruffled her hair. "Who could it be!"

"We'll find out. Don't worry," Harrison said, fixing her hair.

Behind them, two girls were whispering excitedly.

"Since we're here to have fun, let's not think too much about it," Harrison said to Adeline, "Don't worry, I won't let anything happen to you or myself."

Adeline sighed, and Harrison added, "You'll see your favorite pandas soon. Cheer up."

Since there were few people ahead, they soon entered the panda house.

Adeline finally got excited when she saw the pandas chewing on bamboo.

"So cute!" Adeline instinctively reached for

Harrison's arm.

But just as she was about to touch him, she snapped back and pulled her hand back.

Harrison was displeased with her hesitation.

"If you want to touch, go ahead," Markis never said you couldn't."

"Better not," Adeline said, trying to stay calm. would be inappropriate if you think I'm harassing you."

Harrison was speechless.

He wanted to say that she could 'harass' him anytime she wanted.

"Mr. Thomson, can you take a picture of me?"

Adeline asked eagerly.

"Sure."

Adeline handed her phone to Harrison.

He calmly said, "I'm not used to your phone, l'li use mine and send you the photos later."

Adeline thought for a moment and said, "Alright."

Harrison stepped back a few steps and raised his phone.

From his position, he could cap and the panda in the frame.

Adeline smiled brightly at the camera.

Harrison's heart skipped a beat.

He took several photos in a row.

One even caught the panda looking at the camera.

After taking the photos, Harrison showed them to Adeline.

"Mr. Thomson, you're quite good at photography," Adeline said happily. "Send me all these photos."

Just then, the two girls who had been behind them walked by.

One girl said, "Aren't they a couple?"

"They should be," the other girl replied.

"Then why did I hear the lady call the guy 'Mr.Thomson'?"

"No idea, maybe it's their cute little quirk"

Though their voices were low, Harrison’s keen hearing picked up most of their conversation.

His eyes dimmed slightly.

After sending the photos to Adeline, Harrison said, "From now on, don't call me Mr.

Thomson in private."

Adeline was taken aback, "Isn't that inappropriate?"

"Nothing inappropriate about it," Harrison said casually. "It's fine in professional settings, but when we're out having fun, calling me Mr.Thomson makes it seem like I have a boss complex."

Adeline laughed at his joke.

"But you are a boss!" she teased.

"I don't care," Harrison insisted. "In private, just call me by my name."

His insistence left Adeline feeling awkward.

She thought, "Call him by his name?"

In five years, she had only once, and that was when She was forced to do it then.

She felt she couldn't call his name while they were both sober.

"Maybe we should skip it," Adeline suggested weakly.

"No." Harrison refused bluntly. "Remember to call me by my name from now on."

Adeline fell silent.

"Did you hear me?" Harrison pressed.

"I did," Adeline replied reluctantly.

Harrison smiled in satisfaction.

Adeline really loved pandas.

They stayed in the panda house for over two hours before leaving.

After they left, Adeline felt hungry.

Adeline said, "Mr. Thomson, let's a place to eat."

"Hmm?" Harrison gave her a dangerous look.

"What did you call me?" Adeline was stunned.

Her lips moved, and after a long while, with her face flushed, she finally forced out, "Harrison."

Hearing this, Harrison smiled in satisfaction.

It wasn't that he wanted to make things difficult for Adeline, but she needed to get used to it eventually.

She couldn't call him "Mr. Thomson" in such a formal, distant way for the rest of their lives.

"What do you want to eat?" Harrison asked cheerfully.

Adeline wasn't as cheerful.

She looked at him with frustration and asked, "Anything is fine. There's not much to eat here. Let's just find a restaurant or a food stall."

"Alright."

They walked a few steps and found a food stall.
