One night stand with my president(Chapter 141)

Chapter 141: Never Expect to Get Out

This street food stall had quite a variety of items, including chips, hamburgers, ice-cream, and more.

"What do you want to eat?" Adeline asked

Harrison.

"I'm not sure," Harrison replied honestly.

Honestly, these street food items were quite unfamiliar to him.

Adeline realized this as well.

She thought for a moment and said to Harrison, "How about trying some hamburgers first?"

"Sure."

It's perfect for eating warm things in winter.

Adeline bought two servings in total. Since Harrison had no idea what to choose, she just bought what she liked.

After buying them, she handed one serving to Harrison.

There were empty tables in front of the stall, so they randomly chose one to sit down.

After Harrison finished, Adeline asked, "How does it taste?"

"Not bad," Harrison said.

Actually, Harrison didn't have much feeling about these things.

But since it was Adeline who bought it for him, he finished the hamburger.

Adeline also finished her portion, still feeling not quite full, so she bought fried chickens and shared them with Harrison.

While eating, Adeline felt a bit surreal.

She had never imagined that one day she would eat at a tourist spot with Harrison.

It felt so fantastical.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" Harrison suddenly asked.

"Nothing."

Harrison looked at her.

Suddenly, he picked up a tissue and gently wiped her mouth.

"You're grown up but still manage to get sauce all over your face?" he said teasingly.

Adeline was initially flustered but couldn't help but retort, "I don't have sauce all over my face! Just a bit on the corner of my mouth."

"Then why don't I have any?" Harrison chuckled.

"I think you do," Adeline said.

After saying that, Adeline also picked up a tissue and gently wiped the corner of Harrison's mouth.

"I think you're making things up," Harrison said.

Although Harrison said so, there was a hint of triumph in his smile.

As they were finishing up, Adeline received a phone call from the police regarding Millie's case, needing to verify some information with her.

She answered truthfully one by one, and after hanging up, Harrison frowned and asked, "Have you had any trouble recently?"

"Not really, just some minor stuff."

"Tell me." Harrison's tone brooked no argument.

Adeline had to briefly explain Millie's attempt to manipulate her.

Harrison listened, his expression gradually darkening.

"You didn't tell me such a big deal?"

Adeline smiled and said, "What's the big deal? I can handle Millie on my own."

"It's about your safety. How could you be so careless?"

His concern and anxiety were clear in his eyes, and Adeline softened a bit, saying, "Okay, I'm fine now, right? Besides, Millie ended up in custody."

Although Adeline was unharmed, the mere thought of Millie's intentions made Harrison furious.

"She should forget about getting out for the rest of her life," Harrison said calmly.

His tone chilled Adeline to the core.

But when she realized he was doing it to vent for her, she felt a warmth in her heart.

"But your step-sister shouldn't have the ability to plan such a scheme, right?"

Harrison said, "Have you found out who's behind her?"

Adeline said, "Millie insists it was Kaylie who instructed her, but she can't provide any evidence. And Kaylie hasn't shown any trace."

"She's being cautious this time," Harrison sneered.

He immediately took out his phone and sent a few messages.

"What are you going to do?" Adeline asked.

"Last time, the medicine Kaylie used to plot against me was brought back by her friend from abroad," Harrison said. "This time is probably no different. But they'll likely be more cautious than last time. But that's not a problem. We can start with her friend."

Adeline nodded.

Harrison said coldly, "If this is indeed related to Kaylie, don't blame me for being ruthless."

Although this incident affected Harrison's mood, having Adeline by his side alleviated his bad mood.

After finishing their meal, the two continued to tour the zoo.

Harrison took many photos of Adeline.

They were all taken with his own phone and sent to her later.

Adeline didn't pay much attention to this small detail.

When the sun was setting and the zoo was about to close, they left.

Adeline was a bit tired after a day of walking and almost fell asleep in the car on the way back to the hotel.

Just as they entered the hotel, they suddenly saw a familiar figure at the front desk.

At that moment, the figure turned around and coincidentally saw them too.

"Harrison! Ms. Hensley!"

Ronan waved at them with a smile and then ran over.

"Why are you here?" Harrison frowned.

"I heard you were both in Marifort City, so I came over too." Ronan scratched his head sheepishly and said, "I've never been to Marifort City and wanted to come for a visit."

Speaking, he glanced inconspicuously at Adeline.

Seeing that Adeline seemed a bit tired, he asked worriedly, "Ms. Hensley, are you tired from discussing business with Harrison?"

Adeline felt a bit embarrassed.

How should she say to him that she was actually out for fun and got tired from it?

She could only smile awkwardly and say, "It's alright."

Ronan wanted to continue talking to her, but then heard Harrison ask, "Have you informed your family that you're in Marifort City?"

"Yes," Ronan said. "My grandfather agreed to let me come."

Hearing that his grandfather agreed, Harrison didn't say anything more.

The three of them took the elevator up together.

Ronan stayed on the same floor as them, but their rooms were quite far apart, so they parted ways after getting out of the elevator.

Watching Adeline and Harrison walk in the opposite direction, Ronan felt regretful. If he had known, he would have asked someone to book a room closer to Adeline's.

He walked dejectedly to his room and just entered when he received a call from Milania.

"Have you arrived in Marifort City?”

"Yes, I've arrived."

"Have you seen Harrison and Ms. Hensley?"

Milania asked.

"Yes, I just met them in the hotel lobby."

"Are they together?" Milania asked.
