One night stand with my president(chapter 139)

                     Chapter 139: Got Lost

Adeline searched online.

"The closest place is Marifort City Zoo," Adeline said. "It's about an hour's drive. Let's go to the zoo first."

"Okay."

Harrison wasn't familiar with the roads in Marifort City, but with navigation, it wasn't a problem.

After setting the navigation, he started the car and they left.

They chatted on the way, not feeling bored.

However, when the conversation turned to the previous snowfall, Harrison couldn't help but think about Adeline building a snowman with Russell.

He asked jealously, "Russell doesn't live in Shurford Residence. Why was he there building a snowman with you?"

Adeline felt a headache coming on as soon as he mentioned it.

She explained, "It snowed heavily that day. I ran into Mr. Hunter at the hospital by chance, and he kindly offered to drive me home. He didn't leave immediately after, probably because something came up. I fell while building a snowman, and he came to help me. We started talking about childhood memories, so we ended up building a snowman together."

"You fell?" A flash of panic crossed Harrison's face. "Where did you hurt yourself? Are you alright now?"

"Just fell a bit, I was wearing thick clothes, so it was nothing," Adeline said.

Harrison gradually felt relieved.

Then he felt a sense of frustration.

Why wasn't he the one by Adeline's side at that time, instead of Russell?

"Next time, if you want to build a snowman, call me," Harrison said gloomily. "I'll come with you."

Adeline's heart skipped a beat.

She looked out the window and after a while, she said softly, "Who knows when the next snowfall will be."

By then, would she still be by Harrison's side?

"Maybe it will snow in a few days," Harrison, unaware of her thoughts, said.

"Perhaps."

Harrison had already booked two zoo tickets online.

When they arrived at the zoo, they went straight in after having their tickets checked.

The zoo was large. After entering, Adeline took a map and asked Harrison, "Mr. Thomson, what animal would you like to see first?"

"I'm fine with anything," Harrison said. "You decide."

Adeline looked at the map and said, "Let's go to the panda house first! I've wanted to see pandas in person for a long time but never had the chance."

"Alright," Harrison said.

With that decided, Adeline led Harrison toward the panda house.

After walking for a while, Adeline realized that she might have gotten Harrison lost.

Trying to stay calm, she said, "It looks like there are lions ahead, let's see the lions first."

Harrison followed her, asking slowly, "Ms.

Hensley, could it be that you're lost?"

Adeline felt a shiver down her spine.

How did Harrison realize it so quickly?

She awkwardly said, "If I said I genuinely wanted to see the lions first, would you believe me?"

Harrison wouldn't believe it for a second.

He extended his hand to her, saying, "Give me the map."

Adeline had no choice but to hand over the map.

They were indeed close to the lion area.

So they went to see the lions first.

However, the lions seemed uninterested in activity today, lounging around lazily and even yawning.

"Let's go see the pandas," Harrison said to Adeline.

Adeline felt a bit defiant.

She said, "The zoo's layout is so complicated. It's easy to get lost even with a map, Mr. Thomson. Be careful."

Harrison responded with a meaningful smile.

They walked together for about half an hour when Adeline said, "Mr. Thomson, if we really can't find it, we can ask the staff."

Just as she spoke, Harrison raised his hand and pointed.

She saw a sign that read "Panda House."

Adeline was speechless.

"If you hadn't walked in the opposite direction earlier, we wouldn't have taken half an hour to get here," Harrison said.

Adeline's face flushed with embarrassment.

"That was an accident." she tried to argue.

"Alright, if you say so," Harrison said, humoring her.

His understanding made Adeline even more embarrassed.

She blushed and  said, "Really! It was an accident!

I've never gotten lost before!"

"Okay," Harrison said indulgently.

At that moment, Adeline looked extremely cute, so different from her usual self.

In her work, Adeline rarely made mistakes.

The few times she did, she quickly found solutions, always remaining calm like a robot.

But this lively side of her was the most real.

And the fact that she was willing to show this real side to Harrison made him happy.

"Give me the map. After we see the pandas, I'll lead the way," Adeline extended her hand.

However, Harrison hesitated.

If Adeline got lost again, how many extra miles would they have to walk?

He didn't mind, but he was worried Adeline would get tired.

Seeing his hesitation, Adeline stomped her foot in frustration.

"You don't trust me?"

"Of course not," Harrison immediately said.

"Alright, here's the map."

With that, he handed the map to Adeline.

Adeline took it, determined to prove herself.

She was determined to guide Harrison well and redeem herself.

Although it wasn't a weekend, the zoo was still a tourist attraction, so there were quite a few people, especially at the panda house.

They had to queue outside.

The line was quite long, and Adeline sighed at the end of the line.

Harrison stood behind her, saying, "If you don't want to wait, we can see something else first. I can call someone to hold our place."

"No!" Adeline said immediately.

With Harrison's influence, not only could they have someone hold their place, but he could also probably book the entire zoo. But that would take away some of the fun.

She just wanted a normal outing with Harrison.

Waiting in line together could be a rare memory.

"Mr. Thomson, do you find waiting in line annoying?" Adeline asked.

"Not at all," Harrison said. Standing with her made even a boring wait interesting.

They chatted while waiting, moving forward as the line did. More people joined the queue behind them.

"Do you really like pandas?" Harrison asked.

"Of course! I often look at panda photos and videos online, and I love using panda stickers," Adeline said excitedly.

Harrison nodded thoughtfully.

Just then, they heard a scream.

"Thief! There's a thief!"
