One night stand with my president(chapter 131)

Chapter 131: Call Her

Amber was too smug at the moment to notice the deep disgust in Harrison's eyes.

Harrison was so disgusted that he couldn't even speak.

However, Amber thought his silence meant agreement and tried to walk inside.

Harrison's tall figure immediately blocked her path as he said, "Get out."

After saying that, Harrison quickly closed the door, which almost hit Amber's nose.

This instantly sobered Amber up quite a bit.

Her face turned extremely pale.

Harrison had rejected her so harshly.

Was she too impulsive this time?

Recently, Amber had been showing Harrison that she didn't want much.

But today, she did something like this.

Would this make Harrison think poorly of her?

Amber was terrified, wanting to knock on the door again to apologize to Harrison, but recalling how the door almost hit her nose, she didn't dare.

She'd better go back to her room and explain to Harrison tomorrow morning, saying she was drunk and acted on impulse.

With a heavy heart, she prepared to return to her room. When she turned her head, she locked eyes with a nearby waiter.

The waiter instinctively glanced her up and down, then quickly turned his head away.

He couldn't help it. After all, Harrison had ordered room service, and the hotel dared not delay, quickly bringing the cola and lots of snacks he wanted.

But as soon as the waiter arrived, he saw Amber throwing herself at Harrison.

The key point was that she was rejected by Harrison.

The waiter wanted to laugh but didn't dare, so he held it in.

Amber was furious at being looked at like that.

"What are you looking at? You're just a waiter, get lost!" Amber shouted.

After saying that, she stormed back to her room, slamming the door.

The waiter's face turned very ugly.

So what if he was a waiter? He earned money honestly with his own hands. Why should he be looked down upon?

After returning to her room, Amber suddenly remembered that not long ago, she too was a hotel waiter.

At that time, she was furious when some guests looked down on her.

How could she have forgotten that treatment so quickly?

Harrison was thoroughly disgusted by Amber, and when the knocking sounded again, he thought it was Amber and was ready to call someone to remove her.

Just then, he received a call from the front desk, informing him that room service had arrived.

After getting the cola and drinking a few sips, the nauseous feeling gradually faded.

Instead, he started missing Adeline.

He suddenly regretted being angry with Adeline.

If only he had brought Adeline with him.

He shouldn't have come to Marifort City.

Actually, he didn't need to come, but...

A sour feeling spread in Harrison's heart.

This feeling was very unfamiliar to him.

Harrison didn't know how to make it go away, and he only knew he missed Adeline terribly and wanted to fly back to her immediately.

Harrison thought, "What was Adeline doing now? She should be asleep at this time, right?"

Harrison was here drowning his sorrows in cola, and she was sleeping soundly.

Harrison couldn't help but pick up his phone and call Adeline.

Adeline was indeed already asleep.

But she had just fallen asleep, so the phone's vibration woke her up immediately.

Groggy, she picked up the phone.

It was a call from Harrison.

Adeline thought, "Why was he calling at this hour? Did something happen in Marifort City?"

Adeline's heart skipped a beat, and she quickly answered the call.

Adeline asked, "Mr. Thomson, what's wrong?"

When he heard her voice, Harrison's longing reached its peak.

For a moment, he didn't know what to say.

On Adeline's end, not hearing Harrison speak and only hearing his breathing, she became more worried.

"Mr. Thomson, are you Okay? Are you sick?"

Adeline asked.

Harrison could tell from her tone that she was concerned about her.

He felt a little happier.

If he said he was sick and asked her to come to Marifort City, she probably would.

But he didn't want to worry her, so he said, "I'm not sick."

His voice didn't sound like he was sick, so Adeline breathed a sigh of relief.

"So, what's the matter?" she asked.

Harrison fell silent again.

Adeline waited a while, not hearing him, and frowned slightly. "Are you drunk, Mr. Harrison?"

"Why are you being so formal with me again?"

Harrison suddenly asked.

Adeline was taken aback.

"It's not work hours now," Harrison said unhappily.

"I thought you had work matters to discuss."

"At this hour, what work could I have?" Harrison said.

"Who knows? It's not like we haven't worked late before," Adeline said.

"Are you saying I used to exploit you?" Harrison asked.

"No, I wouldn't dare say that," Adeline said.

"You didn't say it, but that's what's on your mind," Harrison said.

Adeline couldn't help but laugh, but then she felt a vague sadness.

What was Harrison doing now?

Adeline thought, "He's so close to Eleanor and doesn't like me at all, so why is he

calling me and saying all these things now?"

Didn't he know that this easily gave her the wrong idea.

Adeline said, "Mr. Thomson, if there's nothing else, I'll hang up now."

"Adeline, don't you dare." He suddenly called her name.

It felt like an electric current flowed from the phone, through her ear, and into her heart.

Adeline's fingers trembled, but she still hung up.

Despite Harrison's threat, she feared she would succumb again.

Harrison was angry. She really hung up on him.

He wanted to call back, but as his finger touched the screen, he gave up.

Harrison thought, "Forget it, it's so late now. Let her sleep well."

Harrison sat by the floor-to-ceiling window, drinking cola and looking at the night view outside.

Harrison thought, "The cola is really good. No wonder she likes it so much."

He thought calling her would make him feel better.

But now, he missed her even more.

Arter hanging up on Harrison, Adeline tried to sleep but couldn't fall asleep no matter how much she tossed and turned.

She got up to study instead.

Fortunately, she could still concentrate at this time.

When she looked up from the computer screen, it was already past two in the morning.

She finally felt sleepy again.
