One night stand with my president(chapter 79)

Chapter 79: I’m  Not Asking Your Opinion

Sidney's fingers tightened.

Finally, she bowed her head and said, "Sorry, Eleanor, I was wrong."

"Sidney, although you've been diligent for these years, you want to ruin my face. I can't forgive you for such a thing," Eleanor said sorrowfully. "From now on, you shouldn't stay by my side anymore."

Sidney said expressionlessly, "I understand."

It was not a bad idea not to be Eleanor's assistant anymore.

Although Sidney lost a high-salary job, she wouldn't have to take the blame for Eleanor anymore.

Before leaving, she could still extort some money from Eleanor.

However, at that moment, Harrison suddenly chuckled.

"Is that all? Just driving her away will end this?"

Sidney shuddered suddenly.

Eleanor also turned to look at Harrison.

Unsure if it was her imagination, she felt there was a hint of mockery in his eyes.

"Eleanor, you do have a good temper," Harrison said.

Eleanor didn't take his words as a compliment.

She felt a bit uneasy, but she could only tentatively ask,"Harrison, what do you think we should do?"

"I'll have my lawyer handle this matter," Harrison said coldly.

"Mr. Thomson, please don't!" Sidney panicked.

When Harrison mentioned sending a lawyer, it probably meant she was going to jail.

The current situation was that she

caused intentional harm to Eleanor.

Although it didn't result in any serious consequences, once Harrison's legal team got involved, it shouldn't have been a problem to put her in jail for a few years.

"Eleanor, please help me. It's fine if you want to drive me away, but don't make it such a big deal. I've been following your lead..."

Before she could finish her sentence, Eleanor suddenly pinched her arm.

Sidney gasped in pain and saw a warning in Eleanor's eyes.

Her heart suddenly sank.

Eleanor was a big star and had a connection with Harrison. Even if she revealed the truth now, what could she achieve?

Harrison would probably just be mad at Eleanor, nothing more.

Eleanor would still be a star, and then, she would definitely retaliate against Sidney.

What would happen to her family then?

"Harrison, there's really no need to go this far," Eleanor said kindly. "The doctors said my face will heal in a few days, so why bother troubling Sidney again?"

"Eleanor, I'm not asking for your opinion," Harrison said indifferently.

Eleanor replied, "I understand."

At that moment, she caught a glimpse of Adeline standing nearby.

Since Sidney confessed, Adeline had been silent, just standing there like a bystander, watching everything coldly.

"Ms. Hensley, we were wrong to blame you just now. I'm sorry," Eleanor said softly. "I knew you wouldn't do such a thing."

Adeline didn't feel like speaking much. She was really tired.

She didn't understand why everyone had to resort to such tactics.

Wouldn't it be better to just get along peacefully?

But looking at Sidney's despair, Adeline said, "It seems Ms. Fraser will need to find a new assistant. Hopefully, the next assistant won't encounter such things."

Eleanor's face gradually turned cold.

"Ms. Hensley, what do you mean by that?"

"It doesn't mean anything. If you insist on your own interpretation, I can't stop you," Adeline said lightly.

Eleanor wanted to say something else, but Harrison had already stood up.

He said to Eleanor, "Rest well these days, and don't let any more problems arise with your face. Sign the contract with the

Thomson Group in a few days. I'll have someone contact you with the specifics."

"I understand. Harrison, don't worry. My face won't have any more issues," Eleanor said pitifully. "You don't need to worry about me."

Harrison then said to Adeline and Anna, "Let's go."

After they left, Sidney collapsed to the ground.

"Eleanor, please save me. I don't want to go to jail!" she cried miserably.

Eleanor remained unmoved, sitting elegantly on the sofa, pouring herself a glass of juice.

"What else can I do? Blame yourself for being careless and letting Adeline take advantage of you," Eleanor said.

Sidney cried out, "I thought the garbage truck would come to clear away all the trash, and in that short time, Adeline wouldn't think to look in the garbage cans! But she actually thought of it right from the start! In the end, we shouldn't have provoked her!"

Eleanor's eyes narrowed suddenly, and then she slapped Sidney hard.

"What do you mean? Are you saying I can't handle Adeline?" Eleanor asked incredulously.

"You're still hitting me?" Sidney stared at her in disbelief.

"Eleanor, don't forget, this whole thing was your plan from the beginning. I just followed your orders! If I were to tell Harrison about this, would your pure image be ruined?"

Eleanor wasn't afraid of her threat at all. She just chuckled softly and said, "Go ahead, see if Harrison will believe you. But let me remind you, if you offend me, whether it's you or your family, you'll meet a gruesome end."

"I know! Don't force me into a corner, or you won't have a good time either." Sidney's fists clenched tightly.

"Fine." Eleanor picked up her phone and said, "I'll have someone stop your mother's medication right now."

"No!" Sidney screamed.

She was nothing but a paper tiger.

Sidney dared to speak harshly to Eleanor just now, but as soon as Eleanor threatened her, Sidney backed down.

Eleanor looked at her pathetic state and smiled contentedly. Then she patted Sidney's head like patting a dog.

"Alright, stop crying like this. It's not that big of a deal. You're just going to jail for a few years, right? Don't worry. I'll make sure someone takes good care of your family these years. When you come out, you'll find they're all fine."

Sidney had no recourse, so she closed her eyes in despair.

After leaving Eleanor's house, Anna looked at Adeline and asked, " Ms. Hensley, are you fine? You don't look good."

"I'm fine," Adeline smiled.

She just felt a bit dizzy, probably from the recent commotion.

She looked ahead at Harrison.

Eleanor's acting was very good.

She could see through it.

But what about Harrison? Did he see through it?

He was very clever, but people were easily blinded by emotions.

Just now, when he said he would have a lawyer handle this matter, was it because he thought Eleanor was harmed by Sidney, and he wanted to seek justice for Eleanor?

When they reached the car, Harrison and Adeline got in, while Anna smartly went to another car.

Sitting in her seat, Adeline felt even dizzier.

She leaned back, closed her eyes, and felt like sleeping.
