One night stand with my president(chapter 87)

Chapter 87: What Do I Get?

Harrison raised his hand.

Adeline thought he wanted to tidy up his hair.

Instead, he reached out to Adeline.

"Where are the cookies?" he asked.

Adeline was speechless.

At this moment, he still wanted cookies.

She poured a cup of fruit tea and handed it to him.

The fruit tea had been kept warm in a thermos.

"Have some fruit tea first."

Harrison obediently took it and drank a few sips.

Then Adeline brought him two cookies and instructed, "Just have two pieces. Don't eat too much. l' Il go to the kitchen now to prepare something for you."

"Got it," Harrison said impatiently. "Stop nagging."

Adeline was speechless.

She kindly reminded him, yet he found her nagging.

Considering he was ill, Adeline decided not to argue.

She fetched a coat from the closet, draped it over Harrison, and then left.

Adeline didn't see that when she put the coat on Harrison, his eyes lit up a lot.

Although Adeline had never been to the kitchen here, she could see it at a glance.

After entering the kitchen, she suddenly saw vegetables on the cutting board that hadn't been chopped.

The knife lay nearby.

It seemed like the chef had been interrupted while chopping vegetables.

They were just on a day off. Was there a need to rush like this?

But Adeline didn't dwell on it.

The kitchen was well-stocked, so she quickly found fresh spaghetti, tomatoes, and eggs.

She made a bowl of spaghetti for Harrison.

Adeline thought that Harrison might not have much appetite, but tomato and egg spaghetti could be appetizing.

However, when she returned to Harrison's bedroom with the spaghetti, she found that Harrison had eaten most of the cookies.

"Mr. Thomson, you..." Adeline widened her eyes. "How could you eat so much?"

Harrison replied, "Too hungry."

"Can you still eat the spaghetti?"

"Bring it over."

"Eat it in bed?" Adeline asked.

Harrison thought for a moment and realized that eating in bed wasn't a good idea, so he got out of bed and sat at the table.

Adeline placed the spaghetti on the table and handed him a knife and a fork.

"Eat."

"Why is there only one bowl? Where's yours?" Harrison asked.

"I'm not hungry yet. You eat first, then take your medicine and sleep," Adeline said.

Harrison frowned, checked the time, and said, "It's almost lunchtime.

Are you sure you're not hungry?"

"I'll cook something after you finish."

"You have to do it now."

Harrison's tone was firm. "Or do you want something? Order takeout, I'll pay."

Adeline fell silent for a moment and said, "I'll go to the kitchen then."

"Hmm."

After Adeline left, Harrison picked up the knife and fork to eat the spaghetti.

Adeline's cooking skills were average, and the tomato and egg spaghetti were quite ordinary, but Harrison felt it was the best spaghetti he had eaten in years.

He ate it slowly, feeling gradually warming up.

After Adeline cooked herself a simple spaghetti in the kitchen and finished eating, she returned to the bedroom.

Upon seeing Harrison half-sitting on the bed and the empty bowl on the table, she realized that he had eaten everything.

The box of cookies was empty too.

Adeline thought that since Harrison could eat so much, he probably wasn't feeling too unwell.

That put her mind at ease.

She poured a glass of warm water and approached Harrison's bed, saying kindly, "Mr. Thomson, it's time to take your medicine."

"Hmm."

Harrison took the water from her hand.

Adeline saw the medicine placed nearby and furrowed her brows slightly.

Adeline thought, "Did he always keep his medicine by the bed? Or did he bring it over himself after falling ill?"

"What's wrong?" Harrison asked.

"Nothing."

Adeline pushed the question aside. It didn't matter.

She gave Harrison two pills.

Watching Harrison take the medicine, Adeline suddenly remembered that she had started crying after Harrison gave her medicine yesterday.

Then, she couldn't help but imagine Harrison shedding tears after taking the medicine.

The more she thought about it, the more she wanted to laugh.

Harrison noticed Adeline smiling as he took the medicine and asked unhappily, "Are you happy that I'm sick?"

Adeline quickly said, "Of course not. How could I? I'm sadder than anyone that you're sick."

Although he knew she was just saying it, Harrison was so happy.

But he said, "I don't believe you."

"I wouldn't lie to you," Adeline coaxed him like a child, then took the water from his hand and placed it aside.

Seeing Harrison's displeased expression, she wasn't afraid and said, "Mr. Thomson, it's time for you to sleep."

"I don't want to sleep," Harrison said.

"You're sick. What else do you want to do?" Adeline said.

Harrison had a lot in mind.

He just couldn't say it in front of her. "If you want me to sleep, that's fine," Harrison said again. "What will you give me in return?"

Adeline's emotions couldn't be described as anything other than shock when she heard this.

Was this Harrison?

Was he like this when he was sick?

But he wasn't like this the last time he was sick.

Harrison frowned as he watched her reaction. "Don't you want to give me anything? Don't forget that I caught a cold from you."

Adeline explained, "The weather has been changing a lot lately, and many people are catching colds and fevers. It may not necessarily be from me..."

She didn't finish her sentence as she saw Harrison's eyes narrow.

She immediately changed her tune and said, "But since you had contact with me yesterday, it's probably me who infected you. Um, it's all my fault."

Forget it, she would just coax him.

After all, he was too adorable at this moment.

She didn't know if there would be a chance to see him like this in the future.

"So what will you give me in return?" Harrison asked persistently.

Adeline was stumped by this.

What could she give Harrison?

After some thought, Adeline cautiously asked, "Then I'll work even harder from now on?"

Harrison's expression darkened.

Adeline scratched her head and added, "Or when I get the year-end bonus, I'll buy you a gift?"

"No," Harrison said.

"I'll make you tomato and egg spaghetti again tonight?"

"No."

With him rejecting everything, Adeline suddenly didn't find him so cute anymore.

At that moment, Adeline suddenly noticed the cookie jar on the side.

She asked, "How about I bake cookies for you regularly from now on?"

This time, Harrison didn't say "no."

He nodded expressionlessly.
